Lovely place, beautiful and private location. Hot tub, grill, and fire pit were much appreciated after a long day of hiking. Katrina was very helpful and responsive. Great stay! Highly recommend.

nice private cabin in the woods. very small but accurately described and it had a wonderful porch that wrapped around the house. kitchen and bathroom had everything needed. would definitely recommend

The cabin is nestled in green, one can hear birds chirp all day. The cabin was as it appears in the pictures, clean and all amenities available. We enjoyed the hot tub.

Spent a long weekend here with 5 others, great place. Host is very responsive/ communicative and the property is exactly as is. We’ll be back!

Timber Creek Lodge was a very comfortable setting for a romantic weekend getaway! Stocked with everything you'd need, and nestled in a private, wooded area.

This was an amazing place to stay. The pictures don't do the house or the surrounding nature justice. The place was spotless and the guidebook had great recommendations for hiking, food, etc. A great peaceful place to get away for a weekend.

we got this cabin for our parents anniversary plus my mom's birthday. They did say they should have taken a 4x4 car 😂 but overall they enjoyed their stay. they loved the hottub and would definitely go back! the host was super quick to respond and very helpful.

We could not have nicer things to say about the hosts, the home, and the local community. Excellent restaurants in town with some nice markets, everything you need is close by. The hosts were extremely accommodating, provided excellent instructions/recommendations in their communications. The home was very well designed and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful weekend. The cabin is really nice and comfortable, and the surroundings are beautiful! It feels like you're in the middle of the woods. Lisa's communication was great, and she gave wonderful local recommendations. There's so much to see and do in the area, as well as great wineries and breweries.

Great place! Super clean and was such a nice retreat for a mini honeymoon.

The location was beyond gorgeous. We were greeting by neighbors on their porch that waved to us and a horse and her baby foal. The view of the mountains, cows, horses, it was spectacular. Kara accepted us last minute on a road trip and we’re so appreciative. Thank you kara!

If you want a place with things in walking distance, this isn't for you. But you can't beat the view from the deck every morning. Place was rustic (which i like in a cabin!) but tastefully done - nice blend of the historic with newer touches. Beds comfy. Had everything you need. Corey sent good instructions on how to find it. Recommend.

This house was quaint, cute, and very comfortable! We had a small issue and our hosts were extremely responsive in ensuring all was well. The only thing I would change is the location to the primary road. It was extremely close and you could hear the intermittent traffic at night as they would drive past. We had an amazing thunderstorm and the metal roof made the sleeping cozy.

We only stayed one night at the cabin—but what a night it was! We arrived in the evening and were immediately greeted by a small herd of cows, which absolutely delighted my dairy farmer husband and our farm-loving son. After a week at the beach in a less-than-cozy house with minimal amenities, followed by a full day of walking around Monticello, this cabin felt like a warm hug. The space was incredibly comfortable—recliners everywhere (my kind of paradise!) and plenty of seating for everyone. With two full bathrooms, it made traveling with my family and brother so much easier. The peaceful, scenic view was just the cherry on top. Our kids had a great time too—it’s a wonderful spot for families. We also really appreciated the complimentary coffee in the morning—a thoughtful touch from our hosts. Honestly, we kicked ourselves for only booking one night. Lesson learned… we’ll definitely be back for a longer stay next time!

From the moment we first arrived, my newlywed wife and I absolutely fell in love with this cabin. Sitting just a few hundred feet northeast of the pinnacle of Sharp Ridge and overlooking High Knob to the east, this little mountain retreat is a close friend to dazzling sunrises and a bejeweled night sky, winding Allegheny roads and the sarcastically-named Dry Run, a whole host of critterkind and the timbers wherein they make their homes, yet a stranger to civilization, the worldwide web, and—of course—blue waters. In our case, we wanted to disconnect from the technocracy in which we live and exclusively spend quality time with one another immersed in the beauty of nature, and we could not have dreamed of a better spot. Despite the isolation, the charming town of Franklin is only a fifteen-minute drive away and has plenty of groceries, gas, restaurants, and that all-important cell service. As I wrote in the guest book, West Virginia stole our hearts and this cabin was the mastermind.

Nathan's place is the perfect, peaceful, secluded camping spot in the mountains! The place is exactly as described in the listing and the host is communicative and super friendly. Apa the dog comes around too and is such a sweetheart. Easy instructions, good wifi connection, and bathroom is a very short walk with motion lights to make it easy at night. Would definitely love to return for a weekend again!

We stopped at Mallory’s cabin both ways to a family wedding and it is the perfect quaint little cozy cabin to rest your feet and your mind. She supplies plenty of games to play as you unplug and unwind. There’s a babbling brook you can enjoy out back while kindling a small fire in the fire pit. Such a fun and cozy place to get away from it all.

When I say Sheila thought of everything, I am not kidding!! What a beautiful place- so artistically decorated in wonderful surroundings with mountain views! Clean, beautiful, relaxing and filled with everything needed! Thank you for all of your touches and for a wonderful visit!

One of my most favorite stays in Va. beautiful scenery from the deck and down to the river. Very peaceful and secluded. Highly recommend and look forward to book in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay. The home is beautiful on the inside and outside. The couches were cozy and there was an incredible view (we even saw a rainbow in the afternoon!). The check-in and parking information was really clear. This spot made for the perfect weekend getaway!

This is one of our favorite ABNB stays ever. The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for what we needed for the weekend. The location is perfect--on a quiet dirt road, close to lots of great hiking trails, really the best of the Virginia mountains at your door. Lastly, our hosts were very responsive and the place is well priced. We will definitely be back.
