Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hanover County

The house is as beautiful as it looks in the photos and feels like home- we all felt so welcome and comfortable. There are so many unique features, including a swing on the front porch, a sitting room off the living room.. the stairs (you'll see), the chandelier and lovely decor, the screening room in the basement... and there are pieces of vintage charm everywhere. We had so much fun just being in the space and Roseanne offers all the amenities you could need or want. Plus she was super responsive to any questions we had. The location is great- a little off the beaten path but still really close to everything. Richmond is an incredible city - full of history, great food, art, there is a really unique vibe ... and Roseanne's is a reflection of that. There is a bit of magic here- I felt it the second I walked in. If you stay you'll know what I mean. Highly recommend.

Lovely home, clean, quiet,and comfortable. Neighborhood is close to grocery store, a few restaurants. Beds were comfortable- slightly firm. Host was very responsive ( quickly responded-including a time we were locked out ). We have stayed in numerous air bnb’s in the area and this is by far the best one. We will definitely book again when visiting our son and family.

A group of 7 women, ages 31 to 83 stayed in Adam's place. It was PERFECT for our needs. The house was beautiful and smelled new. We enjoyed playing games at the huge dining table. The bathrooms were GORGEOUS!! We would definitely stay there again.

This was a great Air BnB, everything you could want. Accurate description, clean and recently remodeled, responsive and flexible hosts. Enough room to hold 5 adults comfortably. Jared was great to work with. Always responds quickly and gave us options and updates on check-in day. The location of the house was perfect for what we needed to do and reach in Glen Allen. The neighborhood is very quiet and easy to get in and out of. The house has a huge back yard and the screened-in deck was a nice surprise for the perfect Virginia weekend. Highly recommend.

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The place was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and in a great location. Check-in was smooth, and the host was incredibly welcoming and responsive throughout my stay. The amenities were top-notch, and all the little touches made it feel like a home away from home. The apartment/condo is just as described. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of pots/pans and everything else I use in my kitchen. That was a treat. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The home was quiet and easy to come and go from. There is an electric fireplace in the master bedroom which made the room so warm and cozy. The parking was perfect, right outside the door and we never had a problem getting a spot. Chandra’s communication was punctual and very helpful. Our stay was over the Christmas holiday and it was so festive as she had a beautiful little Christmas tree with lights and ornaments and a wreath on the door; it made our Christmas feel more like home since we had to travel. The place was wonderful and highly recommend to other guests.

Scott is an amazing host, very helpful and effective communication. The apartment is well-maintained, very clean, and comfortable. The couch and bed were very comfortable. The kitchen is well organized and stocked. The location is perfect, very convenient to VCU. It is very close to the street and in an area that had a lot of activity nearby: buses, trains, a Whole Foods market. Would like to stay again.

I highly recommend Mary as a host and her beautiful cottage. I will definitely stay here again if I travel this way. She is a wonderful person and her place is immaculately clean, well equipped and peaceful.

I highly recommend Johnny's! What stood out to me walking into the unit for the first time is that Johnny seems to really care--he cares about your experience, he cares about offering a home and not just a place to stay, he pays attention to details, he cares about design and aesthetics. He seems to care from a place of valuing experiences and taking pride in his own work product, not because he's trying to sell something for reviews like so many Airbnbs these days (I've stayed in over 30 in the last two years). It was my first time in Richmond and while I considered staying in the Fan District, I am so glad I ended up at Johnny's. As it turns out, Richmond is sprawled out and I would have been driving irrespective of what neighborhood I was staying in and Johnny's was centrally located for everything I wanted to explore. I enjoyed my daily walks around the neighborhood, and there's a cute new bookstore and a bagel shop down the street. Johnny is also so easy to communicate with.

Place was very centrally located and close to many things to do. Very accurate description of amenities. Check in was a breeze which was great for us as we arrived late and left early in the morning. Very responsive and helpful with any questions!

Location full of young professionals. Lots of restaurants. Vibrant nightlife. Enjoyable whether you are 20 something or 70 something. Good host. Detailed instructions and pictures of each step from finding the location to unlocking the apartment door were wonderful

This is truly a vacation spot. Serene and quiet you can feel your anxiety decrease. The inside is beautiful but the outside at night is magnificent. I cannot wait to return.

I stayed in this basement apartment for a month and a half while working downtown. The host was extremely friendly, showed me the space, communicated with me about packages and mail, and kept me informed of things to know about the house. I felt very safe in the house and the area. The linens and towels felt very new and clean, and the kitchen and bathroom were also cleanly. The bed was stiffer than I am used to, but I got used to it. There is not much natural light in the apartment since it is a basement unit, but I appreciated all of the lamps and light dimmers so that I did not have to use the overhead lighting. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone.
