Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Halifax

Nicole’s house was very welcoming and very spacious . She had stocked with a lot of stuff and we didn’t need anything from outside . It was a very cozy and a very clean house . It was a beautiful place exactly as described in the pictures . Nicole was very responsive to my messages . The house was very well kept . The beds were very comfy and even the linens were great . We were very comfortable while sleeping . I would definitely want to stay there again and again !

We of 4 women going on a trip to NFLD and Evens home was our 2nd stop. WOW, what at beautiful place to stay. Both back and front can be seen with water and beautiful trees. This home was very clean and cozy. Peggy’s Cove is 10 minutes away and not far to see the Bluenose, with to see both. Would highly recommend this home.

We had a wonderful stay at Francois’s house! The place was quiet, spotless, and the beds were very comfortable — perfect for a restful stay. Francios was a fantastic host: welcoming, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay here. Great location for getting to different places. Beds were super comfortable. Nice front porch to sit and relax in the evening. Owners live on the property so you will pass by eachother, they are really friendly.

Kelly & Doris were so accommodating, and helpful. We had the absolute best time during our stay. The property is stunning, and very well kept. Our children loved having the playground across the pond to play at. Waking up there every morning was so peaceful. We will cherish the memories we made at this private little oasis.

We had a wonderful stay at this property - 8 family members on a girls weekend! The house was beautiful, better than the pictures. The kitchen/living room/dining room space was ideal for games, cooking and lots of fun. Everything was so clean and ready to use. Kim was super responsive with any questions I had and everything was really smooth. I would stay here again! It's useful to note for prospective guests - there is a 1-bedroom guesthouse directly behind the main house which does lie between the house and the yard/view, so it didn't feel quite as private as I thought it would be. But - we were there on a rainy weekend, so our group and the guesthouse renters stayed inside all weekend and it was like they weren't even there! I would suggest if you are renting this space for outdoor space, it might not suit those needs. Overall a lovely place to stay and we had a fabulous weekend.

Coburn, I must say you and your family have put in a tremendous amount of work to create a space for yourselves and your guests. It felt like home, everything was well appointed and we didn’t lack for anything. Lots of style right down to your lovely collections, original wood beams with modern amenities. We enjoyed after our daily adventures coming home to deer grazing in the meadow or the resident mamma and baby porcupines. If we know of anyone travelling your way, we will suggest they check out Hubbards as place to stay. Thank you for the experience.

From the moment we walked into Jennifer’s home we felt so comfortable. The home is beautifully laid out and was very clean. It had everything we could have needed for our stay. Jennifer was so helpful with recommendations of things to do in the area and she was always very quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the Halifax area.

Very nice place to stay. The view from the back yard is priceless and is very relaxing .She has everything there to make for a nice evening outside ,patio lights, firepit ,lite up dock and picnic table right on the water. Inside is very clean and cozy and is not lacking for anything that you might need .This is not a place that you want to make any excessive noise as there is another residence right above you.

Our family of 5 loved the basement suite. Our boys loved jumping off the dock, going for a canoe ride and playing charades as a family. Thanks for hosting us!

We loved the location central to going to Halifax and Mahone Bay and Lundenburg also for going to our next place. Clean neat and tidy great shower all the amenities you need for a short stay!!

Victoria has created such a cozy and welcoming space with an absolutely gorgeous view. Everything is spotless and pristine, the bed was super comfortable, and she has provided all you need for a home away from home. We enjoyed meeting her very sociable chickens and were able to truly relax in between our runs into Halifax for fabulous food, and a quick trip to Peggy’s Cove. Although our stay was brief, we had a simply marvelous time. Thank you so much, Victoria!

Our stay was great. There was on-street parking available, the space was clean and as described and had all the amenities listed. I would stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The amenities were great, so we didn’t mind too much that the weather wasn’t the best and we couldn’t explore as much. Marvin was a superhost—really friendly and always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

We stayed for 6 months and it was absolutely wonderful! There were lots of beaches and trails nearby to take our dog. The views were amazing! We even saw a seal once! The apartment was beautiful as well, especially the kitchen (as someone who loves to cook and bake it was perfect!) It's the perfect distance from Halifax if you don't like the bustle of a city but still want to do some sightseeing if you don't mind driving a bit! Overall we loved every part of our stay :)

Was looking for a peaceful weekend away and that is exactly what we got! Beautiful and private spot. Scott has clearly put in a lot of effort to make your stay comfortable. The house had absolutely everything we needed. Would definitley stay again.

Our weekend at Bunkie Land was absolutely fantastic. So many good things to say about our experience there. The hosts exceeded our expectations at all levels in terms of amenities, facilities, cleanliness. The heat pump in the accommodation was a big plus, just like the spotless washrooms, with hot water shower. The small appliances were definitely very helpful and convenient coupled with the supplied tea bags, coffee, and other supplies. Having access to uninterrupted wifi while being surrounded by trees and nature, helped us to stay in touch with our closed ones and work while enjoying the nature. The fireplace outside was our favourite spot to relax and enjoy a hot beverage with the sound of water flowing in the stream and the wind in the trees. This place was built to make others feel at home with its coziness and comfort. Overall, we were very satisfied with everything at BunkieLand. We will definitely go back some time soon and will 100% recommend it to others. Thank

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

The property is beautifully located, only a short drive away from Lawrencetown Beach. Deedee and Jeremy were kind and helpful. I strongly recommend!
