Holiday rentals with lake access in Haliburton County

Had a great stay during a long weekend with my girlfriend. The place was clean, the view was gorgeous, and the public access point was great for people watching. Met the owners and they were very friendly too.

We were so happy to stay at this cottage! The house was cozy and welcoming, and both our child and our dog had an amazing time. It was the perfect place for a fun and relaxing family getaway. We would love to come back again!

We had a Great Weekend at Nimals Place. Everything was as described and it Looks Even better then on the pictures! Amazing view and completley private. Bring Bug Spray and make sure you don’t leave the door open. Awesome Place and Host! We will come back!

Amazing stay!! We were blown away by just how beautiful and thoughtful the cottage amenities were. The decor is like a luxury hotel - everything is brand new and perfect. We appreciated all the different outdoor spaces and made use of the dock, the deck, the fire pit and the hot tub. Despite the terrible weather, we still had lots to do and felt like a dream getaway. Can't wait to go back again!

This place was a great size for our group of 10 and had a very spacious and comfortable main room where we could all gather to eat, play games and relax. The sauna is a nice feature as well. The kitchen was very well equipped. Kersti and her co-hosts were very responsive, accomodating and helpful.

Great place to stay. Lots of space and very comfortable. We didn’t use the loft but a nice private area if needed. Super close to skidoo trails and to Haliburton for groceries or a dinner out. Lots of room for sleeping and nice to have 2 full size bathrooms. Eric responded immediately and helped us out with any issues that came up. Would definitely stay again.

The Tall Timbers cottages were amazing! We had a large group and rented Cottage 1 and Cottage 2 for a long weekend getaway in October. Both the cottages and the beautiful surroundings delivered beyond our expectations! We always felt we were in good hands with our hosts, and we had plenty of entertainment with the beach and the provided amenities. Overall a wonderful experience, would definitely do it again and recommend to friends, family, or anyone looking for a beautiful, private, and scenic getaway!

Wonderful hosts with outstanding HOT homemade breakfasts! Really appreciated the extra perks of magnifier make-up mirror, house coat, lush towels, several Keurig coffee pod choices and 2 choices for my own private exterior sitting area. Level access and close parking to entrance, extra wide interior doors. MaryAnn was spot on for my food choices even including 10% cream for my morning coffee and crisp bacon. Very large space with two large bedrooms, slept like a baby and the TV included all the streaming you would want Close to Art College and short drive into town of Haliburton. It was a bit chilly for June but Gerry turned on the propane fireplace then all was cozy. Book it - you won't be disappointed!

Very nice place to stay on Baptiste lake… peaceful and pretty!

Travelling in an area which is a little under serviced for accommodations. This wonder apartment was a great stop on our journey. Very interesting history of the property, so pleased the host to preserve and share it with others.

The Nest was the perfect spot to stay for a March Break workshop at Haliburton School of Art & Design. Clean, welcoming and nicely appointed. The bed was super comfortable. It was quiet and the kitchen had everything I needed. Andria and Larry were great at communicating. It’s also a short walk into town. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Less than 1km from OFSC trails (primary reason for our stay). We enjoyed the quiet of the lake, bbq one evening and the wood stove for heat. Michelle, our host, was very responsive to all of our questions leading up to and during our stay.

Wait.. there is no option for 6 stars!?! Wow, where to begin!?! From check-in to check-out, our group had a fantastic time. Our host was super friendly and easy to connect with at all times. Our group had 8; 6 adults, a teen & a child. Everyone was entertained at all times from the karaoke machine, the games, the hot tub, the firepit, the kayaks & canoes, the swimming, and the stairway to haven, which was truly breathtaking taking!!! The town of Halliburton was a short 10 minutes away where we enjoyed some shopping, lunch & coffee. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary; 78 & 73 years young and they rocked that staircase several times! We frequent Air B N Bs often and this is by far my new favourite. There is already talk of a return visit in the future. Highland Bliss is gourgeous, loaded with all the amenities, is spotless, super comfortable and my family is so thankful to Marcia for allowing us to visit her beautiful space and create lasting memories!

Beautiful cottage for a family weekend on the cutest little lake, perfect for a weekend getaway with the family. The kitchen was highly stocked with everything you could need and all the beds were very comfortable. Also very relaxing cute sun room off the main living area. Jennifer was a great host would highly recommend to anyone!

We had an amazing weekend getaway with 10 of our closest friends! The place was exactly as described — clean, spacious, and perfect for a group. The kitchen was well-equipped, the common areas were great for hanging out, and we really appreciated the little touches that made it feel welcoming. The host was responsive and made check-in super easy. Would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing group stay!

This cottage was one of the best we have gone to! This cottage is a jewel on Boshkung Lake. We enjoyed the views, sitting on the dock and having dinner in the screened in deck. We hope to return again soon, thank you Bruce and family for a fantastic weekend!

(This review was written by my wife, Tami) As we drove up the secluded lane that led into the enchanted forest we knew that we had found a gem.The cottage was charming & spotless with a huge deck that set high up in the trees. The sauna & hot tub provided pure relaxation at the end of our days. The dock was huge with comfortable seating, we even had 2 loons gliding by each day! We hiked to waterfalls, fished & took the canoe for a paddle. Our pups loved our daily adventures! Mark was the perfect host & easy to contact if needed. We’re 2 Gen-x’s wanting to see moose in Algonquin but didn’t want to camp, so looked online and found this awesome retro place that was LGBTQ+ and 420 friendly with no kids. We loved it. Reminded me of my grandparents house, the 60’s/70’s/80’s vibes were perfect for us. Nice private deck. Kitchen well appointed, and had a bbq. Just a 30 min drive along hiway 60 we saw 2 moose! It was awesome. (Try dawn or dusk). As for sleeping, we were in MewTwo cabin, and if you are a little creaky with back and joint issues like us, haha- you might want to bring a mattress topper. Bongo and Andrea were great hosts, very kind and responsive. On Sat night we went to their tavern for a drink and live music, which was fantastic. The tavern was decorated in the same retro Canadiana vibe, the TV was playing Bob Ross, and they rocked the house with cover songs by country, rock and pop artists. They even sang in German for a table of tourists. A great time was had by all. Highly recommended.
