Cottage holiday rentals in Haldimand County

Our stay at Sweet dreams was so relaxing. We were a short enough distance away from all the things we wanted to do in the area.. and far enough away to feel tranquil.. House has so many perks...updated appliances..hot tub ..tv... all the things you need in the kitchen and bathroom... yet not cluttered. Instructions upon check in and out were super simple... Carrie was a joy to deal with We very much enjoyed how close we were to the beach and light house.. gave me the pei vibes ... Thank you Carrie ... many memories have been made !

What a beautiful location and the view….wow! Far exceeded our expectations. There were so many areas to hang out that we could all be together or also have quiet time alone to read etc. The hot tub was pristine, beds were so comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Hosts quickly responded to any questions I had before hand and had suggestions of local events. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was awesome. So many thoughtful touches. Would stay again with my friends and would love to return with my family as well. :)

5 star stay. This was the nicest Airbnb I have stayed at. Walking in to the view of the water was such a perfect entry. The home was spacious and cozy. The kitchen was fully loaded with cooking utensils. We thoroughly enjoyed the bbq, sitting out on the muskoka chairs taking in the view and evenings in the hot tub. The yard was very private and serene. There was a private beach area which was such a plus. I can’t wait to return.

Absolutely a must! Everything felt cozy and warm. The view and natural light was spectacular. The private beach was just steps away. I had an incredible time here. I will recommend to everyone I know!

Beautiful cottage, and exactly what was shown in the pictures and what we needed for our weekend away. Peaceful, private and incredibly comfortable!!

We had a lovely stay at this retreat. The house was sparkling clean and rooms spacious. There is amble cooking supplies and fridge space. Beds were comfortable and rooms were big. Sitting space was great and the table was great for family meals, board game nights etc. Amazing windows allowed for a full view of the waterscape. The only drawback was the bedrooms did not have curtains or blinds so we rose with the sun. Furthermore, the hot tub language setting was German which made turning it on an interesting challenge.

Excellent stay! We loved it. It was a perfect girls week end.

The cottage was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The lake was beautiful and we spent hours floating around and swimming. The outdoor seating options were amazing for lounging and dining and just enjoying the lake view and the sunsets. Tabatha and Kris went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home and their communication was seamless! They were responsive and the information they sent was helpful and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. Thank you Tabatha and Kris for a lovely and relaxing break!!!

What a great space. It was a perfect spot with a nice view of the lake. While we were there, it rained for an entire day. The place was cosy So we were comfortable just staying in. Being able to watch Apple TV was a treat on a rainy day. It would be a great place for a family vacation.

Swanny Lakehouse was the perfect getaway.❤️ The pictures do not do justice for the beauty…inside and out. We booked the location for a peaceful getaway and we experienced one of our favorite vacays so far! We had such a lovely time during our stay. Our family particularly enjoyed the board games and walking to the beach. Such a lovely and welcome space and Sarah was so kind and responsive. We will be booking again in the future 🙂

What a wonderful cozy cottage just a few steps from long beach. We stayed for a few days in October and it was a perfect time of the year for a peaceful getaway. The cottage was very clean and equipped with everything you could need. We enjoyed the sunroom and our dogs found it to be a good spot to nap. Sarah was a an excellent host and we will be sure to come back for a longer stay next time.

Great Accommodations!

Our family of four spend a great long weekend at the cottage. It’s one of a group of homes just across a quiet road from the lake. Selkirk nearby has a good convenience store and a nice coffee shop. We enjoyed the open plan kitchen/dining/kitchen area. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped and was a good size for the four of us. We greatly enjoyed our visit.

Our stay included 2 couples going for a relaxing weekend with bon fires and boardgames. Place was super easy to find and host left it clean for us. The game table, flat top grill and fire pit were great! We had most meals at the outdoor picnic table and played some evening board games outside with a fire going. Wifi was great. Neighbours were barely there and/or super quiet. There were paddle boards and kids kayaks available but we didn’t use. We appreciated the kitchen was fully stocked with all plates/utensils/etc that we needed. There were a lot of spider nests around but that’s not the fault of the host, it’s just that time of year. This location would be great for a motorcycle trip next year since it has all the small appliances/kitchen utensils/bedding provided and location is super scenic!

Lovely place to stay. Cheryl's home had everything we needed for a great weekend stay. Enjoyed the quiet and spacious backyard for evening campfires and outdoor dining. Kitchen was extremely well stocked with dishes and cookware. Cheryl was always quick to respond to my questions.

Russ was very easy to get along with. Text me ask me was everything was ok. Had great stay looking forward to my next trip back.

Great stay. Although the weather wasnt. Spotless home with all the essentials and more. Was pleasantly surprised to see she had many diff games and great satellite service and smart tv with Netflix for those days that the weather wasnt cooperative. We enjoyed the coziness and warmth this cottage provided for us all. The back part of the property was a little disappointing as it was small and backed on to a creek or ravine and the bugs in the evening there were awful. But the front porch was very roomy and spacious and the fire table was a bonus as the back part of the property was not ideal to spend the evenings by the firepit. Thank you so much Mary for allowing us to stay at your lovely cottage. You were an absolute pleasure to deal with and thought of everything. Very clean and stocked with anything you would need or require. Thanks again for sharing your space with us. All the best 😊

Claudia’s place was absolutely amazing. Great beach front property that was clean and well appointed. If you are looking for an amazing place on the water to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. Very clean, great layout and the beds are very comfortable. Claudia was the perfect host. We hope to be back. Thank you for such an amazing place to rent.

This was such a serene place to be. Private, beautiful view, quiet. So much entertainment and fun reviews to read in the guest book. I love that all of the local places use local produce/dairy/meat. My partner and I would love to stay again. Jason and Robbin were also amazing hosts! We had a minor plumbing issue (no one's fault, just the reality of cottage life :) ). Jason and Robbin answered on the sexond ring and the plumbers were in and out and the problem solved within 2 hours. I can't sing this place's praises enough!!
