A spacious suite with 1 Bed, 1 bath and can accommodate 2 extra beds. It has an astounding garden view, a queen-size bed and a modern bathroom. This space is suitable for couples with upto 2 kids.

In-suite amenities include a hot water kettle, a large TV, 24hr hot water, standing fans and an outdoor seating area. Campfire, barbecue, trekking trips, and birdwatching trips can be availed.

The space
Mukurthi suite is part of the Silvertip Homestay. It has a separate entrance and suitable for small families with kids or a group of friends.

Please note:

- Outdoor Living Area: Enjoy the spacious green outdoor space which is the common living area, perfect of relaxing and socialising, birdwatching and being connected with nature. We do not have indoor living room.

- Outdoor Facilities: Indulge in a delightful campfire or a BBQ evening under the stars. Kids can have fun on the swing in the open space.

- Mini-Kitchen: Our outdoor tiny kitchen cum dining is equipped with only essentials you might need to prepare a quick meal/snack including a fridge, microwave, toaster, induction stove, utensils and cutleries. We do not have a full fledged kitchen on premises.

- Enjoy a Traditional Badaga Meal (Veg/Non-veg): Do not miss to order and enjoy the local delicacies to add to your experience of the Nilgiris. It is prepared by the local moms serving at the Silvertip Cafe.

- Nearby attractions:
Catherine Falls: A stunning double cascaded waterfall, perfect for nature lovers and photographers.

Kodanad Viewpoint: Offers breathtaking panoraic views of the Nilgiris and the Moyar River.

Sim's Park: A beautiful botanical garden in Coonoor, home to a variety of some very old and new exotic plants and trees.

Guest access
The Silvertip Homestay is a gated space. It is not visible from the Silvertip Cafe which is along the roadside. The cafe is open from 9am to 8pm for any refreshments.

Guests can enjoy the outdoor lawn and seating areas in the cottage garden. There is also free wifi access unless there are any unforeseen issues with the provider (Asianet).

Guests also have Airtel, Vodafone and Jio connection available in the area.

Please note Parking is roadside and help for lifting luggage might not be available. You will be directed through a side gate where there is a ramp for heavy luggage if you wish to use it. This gate remains locked.

During your stay
Staff are available from checking you in and helping you during your stay. I am available in case you need additional help.

Other things to note
- Parking is roadside at the owner's risk.

- There are three flights of stairs to get to the cottage from the cafe.

- Luggage will be guest's responsibility.

- The cottage does not have a separate living room.

- We provide one complimentary 5l Bottled water per suite. Additional water can be purchased from the cafe.

- The Silvertip Cafe closes at 8 pm. Shops in Kotagiri close early so kindly order food early.

- At times the wifi can be weak due to weather disturbances.

- A hot water kettle is provided in the room. Coffee, Tea, Milk and sugar sachets are provided.

- Dispose of trash in the bins available in the rooms and/or in the garden waste bin.

- Keep windows and doors closed to avoid monkeys.

Neighbourhood highlights

Silvertip Cafe & Homestay is located alongside the Mettupalayam-Kotagiri state highway facing the lush green mountains. The closest town is Aravenu about 1km away. Kotagiri is around 5 KM. Guests can be guided to walking trails among tea gardens close to the premise. Early mornings are the best times for bird-watching in front of the cottage. A multitude of birds visit us every morning along with prancing squirrels.

An evening with friends around the campfire will definitely make the stay memorable. Don't forget to enjoy stargazing during clear skies before retiring to bed.
