Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Guysborough County

This is a dream location. There are lots of windows to fill up with spectacular views of the ocean. The cottage is lovely and comfortable with an open space to unwind and soak up the beauty of the place. Lots of necessities in tge cupboards. All you need for an unforgettable stay.

Beautiful, cozy place with a warm, inviting host. Wendy was a great host, and she even put out a blender for me before I arrived (special request). Really lovely for a fantastic price. Only 5 minutes down the road from Port Hawkesbury. Just perfect.

Marina’s place was beautiful and located in a very peaceful area. The house is very spacious, comfortable, clean, very well equipped and the large yard is fenced which was great for the dog.The welcome basket of goodies was so thoughtful Thank you. . We enjoy looking out on the ocean and seeing lobster boats, seals ,dolphins and a whale. The view and the sunsets were amazing. Marina kindly allowed us to have guests for a night and this reunion with our friends meant so much to us. Be prepared the nearby town is small but we got everything we needed in the little grocery store. (Everyone in town was so friendly) It is not a tourist area which worked well for us because we were not expecting restaurants or attractions just a relaxing place to look at the ocean. Nous avons adoré notre séjour d'un mois, la maison voici les points forts: Résidence bien située pour découvrir l'Île du Cap Breton et ses alentours. Endroit très calme et éloigné des voisins, juste en face de la marina. Belle résidence, très propre, pleine de belles fenêtres, confortable et bien climatisée Foyer extérieur et pergolas très appréciés. Tous les services et restaurations sont à moins d'un kilomètre La nature est très présente tout autour de la maison (cerf, renards, écureuils, crabes, cormorans, hérons, geai bleu, martin pêcheur, etc..). Les points à tenir en compte: Absence de rideau dans la chambre à coucher principale. Absence de moustiquaire dans toutes les fenêtres alors, ont choisi les moustiques ou l'air climatisée. Table à manger pour seulement 6 personnes assises (annoncé; maximum de 8 voyageurs). Cuisine très sommairement équipée Beaucoup d'ampoules sont brûlées à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur et aucune Un gros merci à nos hôtes pour le séjour!

Ann was such a great host. Had everything we expected and more. She went out of her ways to make our stay incredibly enjoyable. She even had a gift for us as we are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, desert in the fridge and breakfast options like bacon and eggs and bread in the fridge. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely stunning! The space, both inside and out is well thought out and so peaceful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

This house suited us perfectly. We appreciated its elderly charm, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, colorful art, wood stove, and — of course — that view. We enjoyed a couple of hikes and braved the tidal crossing once (COLD), but mostly we stayed put and read, cooked, and watched the changing light and water movement by the hour. The peacefulness was heavenly. Bonus points for an excellent selection of contemporary fiction.

We booked super last minute so we could stay longer in town to visit my grandparents - we were beyond pleased with our stay! We had asked the host if there was any stores near by as we weren’t familiar with the area just to grab the kids some hot dogs but nothing was close nor near by and the host actually came down with hot dogs, buns and ketchup for my kids! Such a sweet gesture!!! The cabin was adorable - above expectation! Will definitely book again!

We were traveling with our infant grandson. Before we arrived Kelly realized our original room would be louder than we might like. She was proactive and moved us to a very quiet room. The accommodations were perfect. The location is beautiful and so very peaceful. We sat outside and just listened to the birds. I told my husband, it finally "felt like summer". We will recommend Kelly and her properties to our friends! We had the very best time. Kelly is a wonderful host.

Beautiful cabins in a peaceful setting. The cabins were extremely clean, well supplied, comfortable and spacious for our family of five (we stayed in cabin 27). We loved walking around the property and along the beach. Some amenities were showing their age (deck, deck chairs were wearing) but this is a great spot for a peaceful getaway. We would certainly stay again.

We had an amazing 4 night stay in one of the Chalets - we didn't want to leave! The view from the upper chalets is unbelievable. Kelly was a wonderful host! She was always extremely quick to respond and answer any questions - she was even able to assist us retrieve an item that another member of our party, staying in an adjacent chalet, left behind. On the day of arrival, we were able to check-in early and enjoy the property. There was even a welcome gift with some snacks - such a nice 'added touch!' The chalets were as clean and well appointed as we had remembered from previous stays. There were lots of linens available, but there is also a washer and dryer in the chalet. Gary, the groundskeeper was so friendly and told us about some of the history of the property. On site, there is a small beach with loungers & a fire pit, a pond with a new dock and watercrafts. There's a heated pool, small basketball court, a games room and lots of space for biking. We can't wait to return!

A nice spot in the former Pictou Lodge site (these chalets are not the original lodge). Very clean and we enjoyed the pool. We also saw at least a half dozen deer in the area (at various times). Will be back with the grandchildren!

Peaceful stay; beautiful surroundings; very clean (spotless!) and welcoming; Kelly was always quick to respond to. A very relaxing stay with ample opportunities for beach walks - beautiful sunrises!

The space at Ashley’s place is a self contained large basement walkout with two very nice bedrooms, a spacious comfy living area with TV and a convenient setup with mini fridge, microwave and tea and coffee supplies. Very thoughtful little details throughout. We had two deer join us in the yard! Ashley allowed us to use her deck for a picnic dinner which was greatly appreciated. Lovely property about 12 minutes from Antigonish and about 30 minutes to Cape Breton.

Cute cottage with a fabulous view of the water. We found it peaceful, clean and comfortable. The nearby beach is stunning. Our host was friendly and helpful.

Very nice and cozy place . Wish we had more time in the area. Hope to make it this way again someday.

We had a great stay, the deck is such a great space to enjoy at the end of a day. Kitchen while still under some renovation didn’t take from experience. Great space to cook as a family! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Enjoyed spending time with family at the cottage-cozy, well stocked kitchen and comfortable furniture and beds. Sarah is very responsive and helpful - will no doubt return!

The cottage was a peaceful and quiet place to stay, which we used as a point from which to explore beaches and communities along the Northumberland Straight. It was clean, comfortable and well kept, and contained everything we needed to make meals. Thank you Nicole and Cameron!

This was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. Wildlife was amazing there. Damien was very responsive I would suggest bringing your own food simply because of the remote location The views were amazing ,gorgeous sunsets. St.Peters is a very friendly town not far from his location, I highly recommend trying The Farmers Pantry.

It was a great stay…like a retreat from the rest of the world…so comfortable and I was relax. Didn’t want to leave. I’m a person that loves the camper life and probably will contact him again
