Villa holiday rentals in Gulpilhares

We hebben genoten van dit mooie huis. Luís was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Gastvrijheid staat duidelijk hoog in het vaandel. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en zeer comfortabel. Zelfs in de koelkast stond al van alles klaar en bij aankomst waren er koekjes met een mini flesje pompoen likeur. Het enige wat een beetje miste was iets van tuin en prettiger tuinmeubilair. Verder super locatie. Het gemak van supermarkten, restaurants, café's en overige voorzieningen zijn allemaal op een kwartier tijd met de auto te bereiken. Of je nu naar Arouca gaat of Vale de Cambra.

Amazing hosts! Patricia speaks English and even though her dad does not, he went out of his way to connect through many kind acts. He would bring baked goodies every morning and several times drove us places, including back from the airport when we returned our car. They also left us lots of food, including milk, eggs from their hens, produce from their garden, water, wine, beer, cookies, cheese, prosciutto etc. Before buying groceries, I would check in to see what they have stocked you with. A few things to note: the 2nd bathroom is only a half bathroom with toilet, no shower; the place is compact, particularly for 3 people, and the second room does not have a window; the air conditioning is only in the living room, which might matter in summer (but it’s a stone house so keeps relatively cool). Lastly, the place is 7 mins walk to the metro and a further 15 mins to the historic centre. Patricia gave us 3 metro cards, to be refilled. Tip: it’s hilly;use bus to go from river to metro

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, un très bel accueil à notre arrivée de sa part. Antonio nous a donné de très bons conseils afin de visiter Porto et ses environs. je recommande !!

Luísa fue muy simpática, la casa es muy cómoda para familias y está totalmente equipada. es sencillo llegar en vehículo.

Was für ein wunderschönes Haus, mit sehr viel Charme. Das Haus war sehr sauber und ist perfekt ausgestattet für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Bei gutem Wetter kann man den großen Garten nutzen und Paulo steht jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung. Zur Begrüßung gab es selbstgebackenen Kuchen von Paulos Mama, welcher köstlich war. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem tollen Haus genossen und es ist eine der besten Unterkünfte, in der wir bisher wohnen durften.

Die Wohnung war hervorragend eingerichtet und sehr gut gelegen. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und der Platz war mehr als ausreichend. Die Ausstattung war modern und komfortabel, was unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Die Lage war ideal, um die Umgebung zu erkunden, und wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Sehr empfehlenswert

We felt at home and had a great time at Rui's place. There are a number of good bakeries and grocery shops around. The bus stop is 5min walk.

Floriane and Christophe's property was the perfect setting for our extended family group. We were a party of 10 spanning three generations and the split of individual apartments ensured we didn't get in each other's way. The air-conditioned apartments were tastefully decorated, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. All fixtures and fittings were new and each apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival. The large pool is surrounded by a beautifully established garden with towering cactuses and a winding wisteria. The outside dining area accommodated everyone and came complete with two BBQs. A large supermarket is located within a short drive, as is a train station with direct links to central Porto. The city and the airport are also accessible by car within 40 minutes. The inland town of Amarante is also well worth a visit. In summary, Floriane and Christophe were excellent hosts with a delightful property. We hope to return soon.

The house was perfectly set up for our family! Our family of 8 adults (three married couples, and one 83 year old and one single adult) found the house to be exactly what we needed. My husband and I took the top floor with his mom. Our three sons and their two wives shared the bottom floor. The five bedrooms were perfect for us and the three full bathrooms made mornings easier. The house offered lots of space for us to hang out together, but we were so busy enjoying the city of Porto, that we did not spend much time in the home. The outdoor patio was lovely! There were towels on each bed for us, the kitchen had plenty of plates, glasses, some cleaning supplies and basics (tea, sugar, salt, etc.). There is a grocery store around the corner, which was very convenient. Host was quick to respond to our questions about the area and the home, and was flexible when we arrived later than expected about meeting us. It all worked out perfectly for our family.

The Villa was clean, super spacious and equipped with everything you might need. Just a 2 min walk from the beach, with a bakery and some restaurants also close by. Everything worked out just perfect and we had no complaints and Clara responded to messages relatively quickly. We really enjoyed the Villa and our stay. The only issue was communicating with the person who we had to contact when we needed something once we stayed at the Villa, response to our questions was usually late.

Daniel and Katrina are already good friends. They are good people, easy to communicate and very helpful. They were impeccable in welcoming my family into their home. I highly recommend them!

Had a fantastic stay at the house, it’s absolutely huge, the photos don’t do it justice. Very good value for money if travelling with a big group. The Uber from the airport dropped us right outside so it was very easy to find, also very easy to make our way into town either on foot or by Uber. The host kindly allowed us to check in early and kept communication open through the booking process which was really helpful. Would stay again!

This place is beautiful, with amazing breakfast of eggs, bacon, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread, and lots of other treats. It was a real highlight at a time flexible to you. The gardens and surrounds are stunning as well as the pool & terrace. We stayed as a group of 10 mid 40s ladies and had a fab time.. just not long enough. The breakfast staff were lovely. The rooms with all their ensuite bathrooms were brilliant and the sound insulation was impressive. The host was also very informative and responsive. Don't hesitate just book it!

Lovely spacious accommodation, with character. 20 mins walk to Old Town. Communication with host was prompt.

Wir haben perfekte 3 Tage in dem Haus am See verbracht und wollten eigentlich viele Sachen unternehmen aber das Haus und der Ort hat uns so Gut gefallen das wir einfach nur dort geblieben sind.

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à villa Gracinda. Tout était fidèle à l'annonce. Très bon accueil et très réactif lorsque nous avions besoin de quoi que ce soit... Endroit très agréable et très paisible. Propreté rien à redire, bonne literie, nombreuses activités proposées.

Uma casa realmente incrível com vista para o mar. Super bem decorada e tudo muito arrumado. A Ana foi sempre muito simpática e atenciosa. Bastante flexível no check out. A repetir agora no Verão, sem dúvida! Para podermos aproveitar a piscina incrível.

amazing - just absolutely stunning. the house is homely and spotlessly clean. the land its on is second to none, fruit trees everywhere; kiwis, limes, oranges, apples. the host was super responsive and helpful. big supermarkets 15 mins away, easy access to porto. a wonderful stay and an amazing trip. obrigada!
