THE GECKO BUNGALOW! ** POOL** Free Shuttle!

NicoleRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Overall, this place was very cool! For us it was just a quick stop the night before our flight, but you could definitely stay there and enjoy the pool and property for a few days. It's 5 stars for staying in a cute little bungalow (not 5 stars like a resort. I'm not saying this as a negative just clarifying as I feel there is a difference). Bed was super comfy!! Good restaurants are about a 30 minute drive. The property was wonderful and gated and felt safe, but the overall area where it's located did not seem awesome. You probably aren't walking anywhere from here, but as long as you don't mind the drive then it's fine. The only semi negative thing I noticed upon arrival (I suppose the pictures made it clear and I just didn't take note), was that there is no where to all sit and hang out inside. The kitchen table has 2 chairs. If you have 4 people and wanted to all eat there, 2 would be standing, or sitting on a bed. Michelle was fantastic as far as communication and suggestions!!

La Zambrana

We had such a lovely stay at Stan and Yuyi’s place! The room is big and spacious, and the outdoor area is incredible—basically a private pool and a huge garden space all to ourselves. We just wish the weather had been a bit cooler so we could’ve enjoyed it more! Stan and Yuyi were amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and taken care of, and we felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful and generous space to land in Belize!

Room was as stated in description. Clean and maintained room and premises. We felt safe and at peace during our two night stay. Pride of ownership is visible and rightly so. We would stay again. - Thank you

Mayan Mystique Cozy Corner, Park St.

Naz's apartment is the perfect place to stop in Orange Walk and visit Lamanai and this quiet city. It is larger than it looks in the photos and has everything you need for a good stay: comfortable bed, AC, wifi, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, good shower with hot water 24 hours a day, enough space to store luggage, natural light, ... and everything is impeccably clean, new and well cared for. The location couldn't be better, it's right next to Central Park. In addition, Naz is a charming host who has been very attentive to us. A highly recommended place, and if we return to Orange Walk we will definitely repeat!!!

Orchid Bay Casitas Northern Belize's Finest Beach!

LyleRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The instructions to get there were out of date. The two ferries had been replaced but the road was under construction. We were late getting into Belize airport so by the time we got to the main highway turn off it was dark. We started down the road but decided to ask some locals about the road. Two different friendly local people said "Do Not Drive that road at night". Luckily we listened to them and got a local hotel room for the night. The road was terrible going to the resort plus the entrance road to the resort was bad but we knew this from others who posted about it. When registering and advising the female clerk, she told us the main road was good and everybody drives it at night during the construction. Not a good welcome. After that encounter, every body else at the resort and outside of the resort were very friendly and helpful.
