Holiday rentals with breakfast in Guapiles

The hosts Angélica and Ennio were amazing, a super special treatment, too attentive and always worried about giving the best comforts and having everything clean. They give a delicious breakfast, and in the room they leave so that you can make more coffee, tea, etc. Very grateful for all the attention given.

My host, David was exceptionally nice, and thoughtful. I felt a kinship with him and he was very knowledgeable about the farm and plantlife. This was one of my favorite air Bnb stays!

Pictures do not do justice to this place. Great part of town. Even allowed us to park inside secured gate for our rental car. Andres was awesome. Highly recommend!!

Anita, Juan’s mother, was the best host ever. She was very friendly, greeted us with a kind smile, and it was great to talk to her. She prepared a delicious breakfast for us and we talked for hours at the dining table as if we were family members. We felt right at home. Also, we had a great view from the second floor balcony. It was so peaceful! If we are ever back in Cartago, we know where to stay.

If you are expecting a 5 star hotel do not go here. If you are expecting an experience, amazing food, no AC, cold showers, no iron or hair dryer and an amazing rural farm experience that you will never forget then this is the place to go. Extremely good, honest, hard working people. They feed you almost everything they grow or raise and give you the same food they eat or feed their kids. Mary Luz is an amazing person and a great cook. Plenty of other options available in the area to get a farm experience but if you also want a foodie experience then this place is it. As everyone has said rough roads but we had a good suv and got there in 20 minutes after we turned off highway 32. For some people it may take 45 minutes. Expect to get woken up with birds and roosters making a racket around 5:30 am.

jimmy's attention was very good, I was very attentive to what we had a good experience, and was communicating with tour guides in case of anything. As soon as we arrived at the Pavona, there was someone waiting for us from the hostel giving us instructions to arrive without a problem in Tortugueros. The room was clean and tidy, there was air conditioning that helped keep the room cool. Thank you Jimmy for the concern and experience.

Great place, great host. Upon arrival by boat, we were received directly and everything necessary was explained. Requests were responded to and helped quickly. Very clean space with smart TV, coffee maker, fridge (very clean) and great bathroom. Very cozy bed overlooking the lagoon. In the morning (5.30 am) you can hear howler monkeys. The place is about 15 min from the center, the path can be found very intuitively. All in all highly recommended and great host 👍👍

great location close to downtown rooms were great, nice breakfast every morning. Make sure you have a plan if you get to San Jose early most likely you won't be able to check in until 3. My room wasn't ready until 3:30 pm but they will hold your bags and you can explore the city, lounge by the pool or have something to eat or have a drink at their restaurant. And check out isn't until 1pm so that was great can't wait to come back. thanks sergio

Federico was so helpful while arriving to San Jose. He made the check-in process effortless, guided me around the building and showed all of the nice amenities. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you’re using the coworking spacing Gracias. It’s very convenient and an excellent location. Beautiful coffee shops and great restaurants within walking distance. I’ll be staying here again in the near future for sure! Thanks Federico!

Great proximity to Parque Sabana and Central Market. Easy access to and from SJO airport. Ana is great at looking out for your basic needs.

I really liked the place, the people who take care of you are very friendly and warm welcome. The restaurant is delicious, everything they prepare is seen to do with love and the food is very traditional. The room is nice, it has enough blankets and has a super cute balcony that overlooks a garden.

We had a wonderful stay at Nano! He welcomed us directly and the room is very nice with its own balcony & bathroom upstairs. We were able to use the kitchen and living room. The view of the mountains and the valley is a highlight, and it is also quiet and we were able to switch off and relax. In the evening, Nano prepared a delicious dinner with vegetables and herbs from his garden with a lot of love, also vegetarian on request:) We had great conversations and he gave us many tips for activities in the area. We will keep Nano as a good friend and our stay at Casa Paz as a very special memory of our trip through Costa Rica!

The place is in a quiet area, you can feel safe and only 10 minutes to the larger shopping center. Continental breakfasts delicious, friendly, smiling, and supportive guests. Rooms are clean, well-maintained. If we go back to San Jose, it's also to Casa Lima. :)

Wonderful place, better than the pictures! The boat drops us off and picks us up right outside. Very clean, good bedding, everything is easy and perfect!

Diego was a great host! He made us feel right at home and showed a great deal of care and concern to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were comfortable and each came with a bathroom. We absolutely enjoyed Diego’s backyard and swimming pool. His wife, Monica, also served us a very nice breakfast in the morning. We were a big party, so it was also very convenient and easy to arrange & book our pick-up from the airport with Diego. We even booked our transportation to an out of town excursion, with Diego’s company. Would definitely stay at Diego’s place again when visiting San Jose!

Super quiet accommodation, close to San Jose to be cleared as a couple, super recommended.
