Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. Joan and I live on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r." Diversity is welcome.

Play games, cook your favorite meals in the full kitchen or take in a movie on the smart tv. Big living room to hang out in! Visit the local brewery or wine bar + the best coffee in town is right up the road!

Retreat on Mound Lake

Come relax at this lovely retreat on Mound Lake! You can easily spend all day in the outdoors enjoying the lake, hiking, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding or lounging on one of the decks. Enjoy the outdoors well into the evening using the outdoor fire pit, new barrel sauna, or relaxing inside the large screened porch. Dock, kayaks & paddle board will be available from May through September. A 2019 Bennington Pontoon (50hp) is available to rent during your stay. Please inquire separately.

From June through the end of September, you're welcome to bring your small fishing boat and use our boat lift. We also provide free kayaks! Winter Stay? You’ll stay warm and cozy thanks to our brand-new furnace—perfect after a day on the snowy trails.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Welcome to the A frame on Lake Osakis. This charming cabin is an easy escape from the every day hustle and bustle. In warmer months, enjoy swimming, canoeing, paddle boating or playing yard games on our private 1 acre lot. Don’t forget about fishing; Lake Osakis is a premiere fishing lake & the cabin is located on a Walleye spawning creek with its own private bridge! In the winter, snow mobile right onto the ice for fishing, or check out the nearby trails!
