Holiday rentals with a pool in Greater Bilbao

12 of us stayed with Mari Luz and had a great time. Everyone was comfortable and felt at home for the 4 nights we were there. At first I was worried that we might disturb Mari Luz but we didn't receive any complaints despite 1 or 2 late nights drinking around the dinner table. Also I'm extremely glad we stayed in Castro Urdiales instead of Bilbao since Castro was a much more relaxing and hospitable place and Bilbao was only a 30 min bus away anyway.

It was all spectacular; the location, the house, the garden... It was a weekend of friends and we all liked it. Also, I have brought 3 b*****s who enjoyed it with the very good care and fenced ground. Surely we repeat experience.

We thought the villa was perfect for our little girl's weekend! Local taxi firms were very accomodating over text message as we could not speak spanish so we were able to Google translate and message them. (uber doesn't work in this area) The local GoT attractions do require booking to visit - which we did not realise but that was due to our own lack of foresight. The host was amazingly responsive, the water system was running cold and she was there within 20 mins to reset the boiler to get us hot water and to help us understand the cooking system. The villa itself was beautiful and the surrounding area was so beautiful to just sit and enjoy. Plenty of space in the villa and multiple bathroom and showers for larger groups of people. I would mention that having a car is essential to stay here for the local shopping and the check out process of disposing of the bins down the road.

Space was spotless, views were incredible, beaches walkable. Gorka was incredibly responsive and Igor made checking in a breeze. We picked up fresh fish and steak from the market in Bilbao and really enjoyed the charcoal grill. We loved watching the tides roll in and out of the estuary from the deck. The view changes by the hour!

Spacious house equipped for a group with shower room in every bedroom!! A superb kitchen, a well-maintained park. Nothing to say except to have to leave. Thank you to our host for your kindness.

Lovely home and friendly host - would definitely recommend!

Beautiful, well designed, well equipped and super clean generous 2-story house with pool and large garage close to Bilbao and within 20 minutes of several beautiful beaches and towns along the Basque coast of the Gulf of Biscaya. Great grocery store with local fish and meat specialties close by. Sofia is a wonderful host who provided lots of useful information for us to hit the ground running and makes you feel right at home. Highly recommendable and we will come again when we return to the area.

Jabi is an amazing host! The apartment was clean, spacious and the perfect size for family of 5! He left us a basket of fruit and stocked the kitchen with essentials- milk, juice, coffee, olive oil, salt and pepper! He even left us potatoes so I was able to make tortilla de patatas! Communication with Jabi was excellent and was quick to respond to our texts. There were a few restaurants nearby and the beach is less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back.

The apartment was super clean and exactly as shown in the photos. Very well located in an area with lots of bars and restaurants but zero noise. And the area, of course, is beautiful.

Come with 5 friends looking to enjoy cantabria and spend a relaxing weekend. The stay met the expectations, especially highlighting the garden and the barbecue. The accommodation is close to other villages of tourist interest and is located near the beach. The host was very pleasant at all times and catered to our needs

The place is just like the photos. Spacious, comfortable for a family. Grocery store and playground down the street. The garden is small but cozy, and the common areas of the development are spotless. Perfect place for a family with small children like us. Vanesa and her husband were very friendly and flexible with our questions and requests, and always answered very quickly.

The house is close to the beach and downtown, there are also several supermarkets in the area. The house has everything you need, it is spacious and the access to get there is good. The community pool is fine, we went several times and were comfortable. The communication with the host was smooth. Recommended to spend a few days in Castro and get to know the village that is very nice.

We chose this place for the setting, and we were not disappointed. The place is amazing and for the kids it's a little paradise. Merxte is lovely. It was a pleasure to meet her.

Nahi is a great hostess! She accomodated my late arrival and was kind to bring some stuff for my cat. The apartment is spacious and neat, contains all necessary things to make you feel like home. The area is quite and cozy with some local shops and bars nearby. Highly recommend if you want to stay outside of busy city centre, and do not mind exploring Bilbao's surroundings.

What you see is what you get, almost. The location and the view from Josu's apartment is even better in real life. We planned for a week visiting Bilbao and San Sebastian, but left wishing we had more time in Sopela. Josu is the kind of guy you feel like you've known all your life. Very friendly and easy going. Definately worth a visit... and already on our wishlist for our next visit to Spain.
