Entire mews cottage in Kirkby Stephen

Well equipped cottage. Great location and parking was easy. We didn’t spend too much time in the cottage as we were visiting family. The kitchen was spacious and the sitting room was comfy with a TV that worked. The shower was great!

The cottage was lovely, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very near the centre with good restaurants. The welcome pack was very good, thanks. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

The Studio, a stunning rural retreat for two.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful and peaceful location. Rebecca was super helpful and gave lots of recommendations on where to go. We had a wonderful meal at The Butchers Arms.. delicious food and beautiful setting! The barn was beautiful, it felt like a boutique hotel with the small touches such as robes and slippers. Super comfortable bed and sofa as well! Ps thank you for the delicious brownies and Prosecco!!

The Old Station House

ChristopherRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Lovely property in a great location for using as a base. Nice little walks available locally and positioned on the outskirts of a very friendly village. Racheal left a lovely surprise gift for us on arrival which went down very well!! Not a single negative on our stay and would have no hesitation in returning if dates were available. One observation was that the property is much larger and homely than the photos suggest.

Townend Cottage

ConnorRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We really enjoyed our week long stay at Townend Cottage. The location is perfect for a quiet getaway with easy access to busier places. The cottage itself was clean and filled with little gestures. Louise and Mark were really helpful and welcoming, we even had a tour around the farm which was so good to see. We were able to feed the donkeys, Jake and Finn from the garden and visit the cows on a daily basis. We will definitely be booking again, absolutely loved it.

The Meadow Cottage at Scalebeck

CrispinRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Lovely and peaceful setting down narrow country lanes, yet convenient for Appleby and the M6. The Lake District is about a half hour drive away but the Westmoreland Dales are stunning anyway. The friendly village pub serves good food and beer at modest prices. The cottage is very well equipped with a big bedroom and a fabulous shower in the adjacent bathroom. Only slight downside is that, being downstairs, the bedroom gets cold in less clement weather. However, there is central heating and a fan heater can be borrowed if really necessary. Kay went out of her way to ensure everything was fine for us.

Stunning views nr Lake District, spacious & snug

What an absolutely stunning location! We wanted a relaxing break and this is exactly what we got. Vicki and Tom have created something really special. The Hayloft is small yet had everything we needed for a family of 5. There were plenty of books and games to enjoy. Vicki greeted us at the door, making us feel welcome and had left us some homemade treats. The kids had a blast, exploring the grounds, playing on the trampoline and climbing the nearby hill to catch a glimpse of the fighter jets flying overhead. There was a lovely walk to the river and you can roam freely over the fields. We enjoyed watching the sheep and horses roam and also saw deer, rabbits, frogs and kestrels. The house has a view of the Settle-Carlisle railway so we enjoyed a bit of train spotting too. There was so much to soak up before we even thought about heading out. The nearby town of Kirkby Stephen had plenty of shops and we enjoyed a meal from The Mango Tree Indian. We would 100% recommend a stay here!
