Holiday rentals with lake access in Great Barrier Reef

I was there for work with my colleagues in Rockhampton, and this place was nice.

This was truly one of the best Airbnb‘s we have ever stayed in. It has everything and anything you could ever need. The beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve had in a hotel or Airbnb. The views and architecture of this house were phenomenal. It’s definitely a house. I would love to own and live one day. We had three great days up on the leg whiteboard in each day and plenty of space for everyone to still do what they needed to do and everyone not feel like that was stepping on each other’s toes.

We had the most wonderful stay at Trinity Beach. The house was spectacular, everything was as desceibed and more. There was so much to keep the kids occupied that they were reluctant to leave the house at times. The beds were very comfortable, plenty of pillows and extra throws. It was still very warm and humid at times in Cairns but the aircon kept us all cool along with the lovely breezes in the afternoon and evening. The kitchen was well supplied with lost of extra basics in the pantry. There was every type of appliance which made cooking a breeze. The bathrooms were well stocked with a lovely selection of shampoo, conditioner and body wash (Large Bottles not those skimpy one use only containers which I hate). The laundry was great, a big clean front loading washing machine and dryer plus a clothes line under cover and well supplied with washing powder too. The pool and the spa were what attracted us to the property and were a great sucess with all, will definetly come here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakeside property! The setting was peaceful and relaxing, and everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. We really appreciated the ample supplies; things like bin bags, dishwashing powder, paper towels, and spray and wipe were all stocked, which made our stay so easy and convenient. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all slept very well. A fantastic experience overall - we’d happily stay again!

A beautiful place to stay and relax. Away from the activity of Port Douglas but also close enough to restaurants etc. The gardens are spectacular and amenities of the resort are perfect. Would love to stay again.

A great little home in an idyllic setting by Lake Tinaroo. Walking distance to the Quirky little town of Yungaburra and within driving distance to many natural wonders of FNQ which are definitely worth visiting. We had a lovely time while staying in this lovely little home enjoying many a meal on the back deck, while taking in the view and watching different wildlife pass by. The home was very clean & comfortable and our host Michelle was easily contacted providing any assistance where we needed. I highly recommend visiting the area and staying at this peaceful lakeside property. We have had a wonderful time exploring Yungaburra and many iconic tourist destinations in the surrounding areas, it really is a beautiful part of the country.

We had a great stay at Kylie's place at Lake Tinaroo. It provided a great base for those who worked at the Rotary FNQ Field Days and for me it was perfectly placed to explore the tablelands. The accomodation itself was great, loved having the two living spaces for our group, we could be together, hang out, play some pool but also have a bit of space and privacy with the upstairs downstairs bedrooms. Very clean and all needs accommodated self catering wise with a great main kitchen well stocked with appliances etc. While we didn't get to take advantage of all the amenities that Kylie makes available I can see others really enjoying themselves in the local area with the bikes and kayaks. Highly recommend a stay at Kylie's and hopefully we can get back there some time.

The cleanest bnb I’ve stayed in Their attention to details is a credit to them. I’d highly recommend this property and the host. We were only there a night. You could easily stay a lot longer and walk to beach and cafes every day. Excellent destination Highly recommend

A great place to stay in Cairns, close to the city centre. The resort has plenty of swimming pools to enjoy. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen and everything you need. We enjoyed our stay and would happily go again.

A home away from home. An amazing place to stay. Judi and David made us feel truly at home and nothing was too much to ask. By the end of your stay they are friends rather than air bnb hosts. Everything you could ever need was in there. We would definitely visit here again.

Lovely space to relax after catching up with family all day. Perfect size and couldn’t have asked for anything more for my partner and I. Karen was a great host and will definitely look to stay again next time we are in Cairns.

Gorgeous air bnb on the stunning lake barrine. Nice large room with beautiful furniture. Lovely place for a relaxing weekend. We would definitely come back!

We had a fantastic stay at Nicole’s place! The home was spotless, tidy, and thoughtfully arranged—nothing felt cluttered. Nicole was such a generous and kind host, offering quick responses and plenty of local suggestions even before our arrival, which would be super helpful if you weren’t familiar with the area. The little extras throughout the house made our stay even more convenient and comfortable. The view was absolutely beautiful, and even with a wedding happening nearby on Saturday, the atmosphere remained peaceful and there was still plenty of parking. We felt right at home and appreciated how everything was so well-prepared for a relaxing stay. 100000% recommend Nicole and her home—thank you so much for letting my family and I enjoy your lovely space. We will definitely be back again and again!

we had a wonderful stay. the place was amazing and all the extra details made it so much more personal, we enjoyed the fresh eggs and Bananas. the weather was a little to cold for the creek but will for sure be back in the Warmer months to enjoy that again. Dale is a fantastic host who really goes the extra mile for her guest.

The Sugar Shack is a charming and truly comfortable oasis of calm and beauty convenient to much of what the Port Douglas and surrounding region has to offer. Everything about the shack is as described, clean, functional and easy to use. Importantly at this time of the year (December) when the heat and humidity have kicked in the shack is easily cooled. No surprises. Great atmospheric views of the mountains and plenty of interesting bird life around the property. Beautiful creek with clear water. An additional bonus was being able to bring along our young retriever and watch her enjoy the freedom of the well-kept paddocks and the security of a fenced cottage garden around the shack. Delicious eggs from their contented hens too! Kylie (who met us) and Nicki were efficient and friendly and very helpful with their local knowledge and the entire experience was very welcoming. Great hosts!
