Holiday rentals in Grange-over-Sands

Had a lovely stay here. The views were amazing! We really enjoyed sitting on the bench outside in the garden. The decor and the flowers growing outside the windows made us feel like we were on a proper countryside holiday. Parking was easy and convenient, right outside, and the instructions were clear. It's a short 5 minute walk down a fairly steep hill to town and there are a few nice cafes and shops, some fancy hotel restaurants and the promenade and parks which were nice to walk around. The smart TV was good and we enjoyed watching some programmes in the evening. We could hear thr neighbours above walking around a bit but it really wasn't intrusive or annoying at all. The mattress could do with replacing, felt a bit lumpy and uneven and soft, maybe I noticed it more because we had been out all day and I was aching! Overall a lovely stay.

We had a very comfortable stay in the Studio. It was well equipped and handy for all the amenities of the town. The little bench at the door was a bonus- sitting in the afternoon sunshine reading our books after a busy day out was a real treat!

The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities need for my stay. I was always able to get parking outside the property. This is in a very quite street and neighbourhood and within 400m of a public pathway with access to the surrounding hills and woods. An excellent location for hikers to stay and within 15min drive of Kendal with easy access to the main roads to the Lake District and South Cumbria surrounding areas. The host were excellent and provided loads of information on the locality and gave detailed directions to the propriety and instructions to ease check in.

Would just like to say the host was very responsive and helpful with early check in and providing taxi numbers, the apartment was very easy to find and loads of parking, the area grange is lovely with loads to do and some nice walks with a lovely village a 2/3 minutes drive away or a 15 minute walk if you are up for a longer walk it’s only 35 minutes into Cartmel, The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities that were listed, it has lovely views of from the patio / garden area. It has everything you could need or want, overall the stay was fantastic and when I’m sure we return to the area we will look to stay here again.

Great place to stay with loads to do locally and short drives away. Phil's place had ample space and amenities. The area is peaceful and quiet. Includes a good spot to park your car. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. There were also plenty of cleaning products available for the washing machine and dishwasher, as well having access to a barista machine with lots of options for coffee all for free. The few sticking points we had: the bedding in the main bedroom double bed was a bit crinckly and the living room area wasn't as spotless as I was hoping with dust and dog/pet hairs on the sofa, dining table chairs and floor, although it was easy to broom/hoover these areas myself. Overall it's a great place I'd highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay at Robyn’s place, was our first time away with a newborn and the place was very accommodating, Robyn was really helpful with any issues we had and we had a lovely few days away. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a few peaceful days away with easy access to the lakes :)

On arrival we found the instructions were easy to understand and putting in the post code found the cottage with ease. Instructions to get in were easy to understand with a simple code to input to release the keys. we were greeted with a beautiful gesture of a bottle of prosecco to welcome us in which was so thoughtful. The cottage itself was perfect for a family of four with the lights on a motion detect at night which was brilliant for the younger one going to toilet. As for the bedrooms they were both excellent for sleeping and we did quite like the vintage feel of the cottage with the wooden furnishing and surrounding. The kitchen was perfect for cooking as well as the dining room table could host up to 6 so brilliant for our meals. Even had a radio to sync in to your phone if need which was helpful to drown the kids out over meals ha. Parking was excellent until last day when the space was too small for our car but not far to park. All in all a lovely trip for cartmel races 😀

Slightly overpriced due to location . However the accommodation was first class. Slight disappointment that th Restaurant / Pub next door was not open untill the Wednesday ( the day before we leave) . For anyone booking it is 20 minutes to Bowness/ Windermere on a good day (traffic permitting). Sun and Mark have gone to a great deal of trouble to provide information on local places to visit and how to get there and local eating places which were great
