Holiday rentals with beach access in Grande Riviere Noire

We had a truly wonderful stay at Coralie’s beautiful apartment in Tamarin. She was an exceptional host - kind, attentive, and thoughtful - making my parents feel completely at home from the moment they arrived. When I joined them later, I could immediately see why they had been raving about the place. The apartment is stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the spacious terrace with its breathtaking views! The location is ideal. Thank you, Coralie, for your hospitality and for creating such a welcoming space. We would absolutely love to return one day!

5/5 stars! We had an unforgettable experience at this fantastic Airbnb apartment in La Gaulette, Mauritius! The apartment was clean, modern and comfortably furnished. The view of the mountain and the sea from the huge roof terrace was stunning. The location was perfect for us to explore the entire south of the island. Dhareena was very hospitable and helped us with all questions. Her parents welcomed us and they were incredibly friendly. Due to the delay of our flight and problems with the rental car, we arrived at the apartment much later than agreed, which was also no problem and due to the good communication with Dhareena everything worked out perfectly. We can only recommend this apartment!

I never actually met Julie while I was there but contacted her several times before the trip and her responses were always quick and very helpful. During my stay at the apartment I met Nita and her husband. They’re both incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were super helpful with any queries I had. I was staying on my own and it was my first time in Mauritius but they made me feel right at home. Even small touches like providing delicious fresh fruits on a couple of mornings, was very kind of them and much appreciated (a lovely surprise to wake up to!) The apartment itself is lovely and well maintained with excellent wifi. It’s in a quiet area. The bed has a very comfortable, firm mattress. The roof-top terrace is huge and a lovely spot to relax/sunbath. The kitchen has everything you need and the whole apartment was very clean. They have a shop at the end of the road (less than a minute walk), very handy for snacks and essentials :) Would happily stay here again. 10/10!

The apartment was clean and fragrant, all in order and equipped with all the necessities. Meera turned out to be exquisite and very hospitable. I recommend it to everyone.

We really enjoyed our week-long stay at Anne and Dominique's place. They are very available and responsive hosts and they gave us the best recommendations for activities and restaurants nearby. They are warm and love to receive visitors. The accommodation offered a superb view of Tamarin Bay and we saw incredible sunsets. The accommodation has everything you need to have a good time (reception, barbecue, swimming pool, proximity to excursions, etc.). We would definitely recommend! Sincerely, Thibault and Céline

what am Incredible place! I read the other comments with some cynicism but can truly say it's exactly as described. Big, wonderful, open space for your own, right across the road from the beach right outside a bus stop. Such friendly hosts and the little touches: chocolates, water, etc really a wonderful stay. As another reviewer wow, don't think about it, just book it

Stayed here during our holiday to Mauritius, we wanted a night on the west coast for the sunset and you can see that without leaving the balcony. Ms Sheela showed us around and explained everything. Lots of lovely little homely touches like beer in the fridge and soft drinks, toiletries, and even binoculars even to try and spot whales/ dolphins. Patio is huge plenty of space , hosts replied to messages promptly and always answered any questions. Ms sheela and pothano were very accommodating and adaptable to any amendments throughout. We would 100% recommend and happily stay here for a full holiday.

The accommodation was spacious, well equipped, in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay, if we have the opportunity to return to Mauritius, we will definitely stay in the same place again, thank you for a wonderful end to our holiday.

The bungalow is really something special. The wooden house is high-quality and reduced but tastefully furnished. The veranda overlooking the garden is a real highlight. You are in nature, with all the trimmings. The view is truly fantastic. We didn't particularly like the nearby beach, even if it was exciting for the children to watch the planes. Otherwise, the location is good for excursions to Le Morne, the south coast, Chamarel and the national park. Communication with Olivier was easy. We were there with two small children, so a special view: the wood creaks quite a bit, and the doors too. Difficult for noise-sensitive children in the evening/at night. There are also dogs on the property, which are very sweet and usually don't pay attention to us. Still, not for everyone.

Ramesh and Do were perfect hosts. Exceptionally kind! The accommodation is very very clean, they have the desire to do a service so that we can have the best vacation possible. We thank them so much because they contributed to the success of our stay on the island. We hope to be able to come back to their place soon.

Paradise! We could have stay here even Longer then a week. Kayaking with dolphins, snorkeling the Reef if thé sea is calm. Beautiful views and a very friendly cleaning lady. We had thé best time here. Thé house had everything we needed. And we loved the atmosphere.

We are very happy with our stay at this fantastic villa. The villa has everything you need. The host are very nice with good communication. Thanks to Norberg we felt very welcomed and got good recomendations for restaurants and trips. The villa is in a quiet, safe, private area. You have a nice small beach in walkdistance. And the view is absolutley amazing with perfect sunset. The host let us check out late on our departureday when we had an eveningflight, with no extra charge. We definitely recomend this place!!

Beautiful house. Better than what the pics suggested. Very well organised, and perfectly located if you are looking something in the south-west region. Bcz we travelled with an infant, we needed some extra things in the house which were provided by the host. We felt very welcoming by the lovely family and the host was quick to respond on anything i asked. The neighbourhood is a bliss if you like serenity.

I spent three weeks living in this house, it felt like home. Almost every day I snorkled in the ocean and swam in the pool, right from the back garden. I used used the BBQ many times, it is very nice. The house is on a busy road, and goats and chickens live across the street, but after a few days that just melted into the tapastry of Mauritius. The cleaner, Jessica, is a hard worker and does an excellent job. There was a gardener and a pool cleaner that came every week, keeping both looking nice. You really need a rental car, or a scooter, for your stay - I used Storm Scooter Rentals from the local area. Overall I could not give this place a higher rating, it was excellent.

We had a fantastic stay at the villa! After a smooth self-check-in, we were warmly welcomed by Tatiana, who gave us a quick tour of the house and shared helpful tips about the area. The villa looked just like the pictures — spacious, clean, with a lovely swimming pool and direct beach access. Located in a private, gated community with secure parking, it felt very safe and peaceful. The interior may be a bit dated, but it adds a unique charm to the house. With both air conditioning and ceiling fans, it stayed pleasantly cool indoors. A friendly cleaning lady came by three times during our stay to make the beds and tidy up the kitchen and floors, which was a nice bonus. The location is great for exploring the Black River National Park and the Chamarel region — both just a short drive away. We definitely recommend staying at Tatiana’s villa if you’re looking to explore the west coast of Mauritius and enjoy the surrounding nature!

Ambroise is a great host.... very responsive and detailed from Day 1. The property was clean and well maintained. The two turtles at his place are fun to watch and Ambroise was kind enough to lend his private Kayaks to us. It was a fun experience exploring the reef on the Kayak. Thanks for having us Ambroise!

The building was well maintained, had friendly staff and felt very safe with the security team. Having a pool was a wonderful bonus after an excursion day! We’ll miss our daily breakfast on the balcony enjoying the views! We recommend this great stay :)

Lovely host, lovely place.

We had an absolutely wonderful 4-night stay at this property in Flic en Flac! The host(Tawhida) was fantastic — warm, welcoming, and personally came to meet us during check-in. She gave us a clear walkthrough of the house, which really helped us settle in quickly. The location is ideal, just a 10-minute walk to the beautiful Flic en Flac public beach. Perfect for morning strolls or catching the sunset! The property itself was spotless, well-maintained, and felt like home. We especially appreciated the dedicated covered parking space, which made things very convenient as we had a rental car. Check-out was also smooth and hassle-free. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-located stay in Flic en Flac. 🌴🌊

Ashvin welcomed us perfectly to his home at La Gaulette. We had a good chat with him, he was very good advice for restaurants and activities in the area. Her place is impeccable, with all the necessary amenities, and impeccably clean! The view of Le Morne and the surrounding greenery is really a plus. I recommend it 100%, thank you Ashvin! Marine

Great apartment with its own grounds and parking. Simple but helpful equipment was available. The host was always trying to make sure we had everything we needed. Kitchen, washing machine were also very helpful. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the accommodation.

A fantastic place for a great holiday. Immaculate, extremely well equipped, stunning decoration, extremely tasteful furniture & fittings, everything you need and more. I can personally recommend Romain’s place to anyone. This was our fourth visit to Mauritius , and was the best ever. We will definitely be back in the future. Romain went out of his way to arrange my wife’s 60th birthday celebrations. On our arrival we were surprised with Champagne , and he even arranged a birthday cake the night of the celebration. The place totally exceeded our expectations, infinity pool was just incredible, we ended up using it every evening while watching the sunset. The flat was really high quality, every little detail was thought through. Also kitchen had everything you could possibly need, like really everything. Martine was lovely and always quick to help if anything came up, and the staff were so friendly and polite. Also what surprised us a lot was that they cleaned the flat every day which we never seen in Airbnbs. Great value for money, would 100% come back.
