Head the other direction and you're half mile from UW-La Crosse's campus, and 1.5 miles from downtown. This is a quiet dead-end street in a lovely neighborhood with plenty of free street parking. Enjoy a unique experience at this centrally-located home. Completely updated throughout including furniture, bedding, and kitchenware. Quiet neighborhood just minutes to downtown La Crosse and the movie theatre. Upon entering you are greeted with an open floorplan. All bedrooms are located on one level. The main bedroom sleeps 2. Charming home with hardwood floors, leaded glass windows, and original details in the faculty neighborhood close to UW-L campus and Downtown. Are you visiting La Crosse to paddle, fish, hike, bike, or ski? With bluff views, the Bicycle Professor's Bungalow is close to it all. My home is a ten minute walk to the marvelous Marsh Trail system that links the University to Downtown. I will happily offer tips for restaurants, walks, bicycle rides and places to ski. The Driftless terrain is endless!

The space was nice, with a quirky design and a great location that's walkable to downtown shops, restaurants, and the river. The host was communicative and helpful during check-in, which we appreciated! Unfortunately, there was a strong cigarette smell in the front entry that lingered on our clothes for the rest of our travels across WI, which was disappointing. We were also asked to cover additional cleaning for dog fur, which felt unexpected, especially since the listing is pet-friendly and didn’t mention any specific guidelines like crating or keeping pets off furniture. We’ve stayed at other spaces with our dog and have always received positive reviews, so this was surprising. Overall, it’s a convenient and unique place, and we really enjoyed our stay during our time there, but those couple issues after we left detracted from the experience.

We would for sure stay here again! We were there for our son’s college graduation. Beth had a welcome basket with treats and some drinks in the fridge along with a note of congratulations for our son’s graduation. There were plenty of beds and the beds were very comfortable. There were beds that were actually queen and king sized beds. We had 8 people and there was everything we needed in the kitchen and a grill with extra propane. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our dog. We had enough towels for everyone. There were also extra blankets. We would highly recommend this house for anyone traveling to LaCrosse for any occasion. Thank you Beth and Josh for your hospitality.
