Cottage holiday rentals in Grand Isle County

This was a great getaway! It was the perfect size house for the three of us. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped (especially compared to other places I’ve stayed). Emmy was responsive and available. I wish we could have stayed here longer!

The house was in amazing shape and the view was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend this house. I definitely intend to stay again.

Adam was an incredible host. He was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay providing recommendations and quick answers to questions whenever needed. The home was immaculately clean when we arrived. This also had to be the most well equipped Airbnb I've ever stayed at. From the kitchen supplies, board games, vinyls, CDs, to the throughly detailed guidebook written by host, I was so beyond impressed! The most outstanding part of this stay is of course the location and the views this home provides. It provided the perfect private oasis for a stay to just unwind and unplug. I'd highly recommend this stay if your local for a tranquil, low-key retreat.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 5 days and loved it the entire time, it is hard to find a dog friendly place and our Bailey loved every second as well. Michael was very helpful and responded to every question I had quickly. The view is gorgeous. We would love to come back one day!

Great place to stay for the extended weekend. The place was very nice, with plenty of outside space to hangout. Easy and direct access to the water, dogs could swim no problem. Great host and would definitely come back.

The cottage on South Hero is wonderful, sitting overlooking the lake with a beautiful lawn leading down to the water. I needed a large rental to house extended family up for my daughter’s UVM graduation and this was perfect. There was plenty of room in the house for all of us and plenty of parking which we needed since everyone was coming from different locations. The beds were very comfortable and none of us found the water a problem. We weren’t able to spend much time enjoying the lake because it was cold and rainy the whole weekend but the view is beautiful. The house was easy to find and an easy drive to Burlington. Also, my 91 year old mother with serious mobility issues was with us and the house is extremely accessible. It has a ramp, ground floor bedroom and grab bars in the downstairs bathroom with walk in shower. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat and I really hope that I can.

beautiful lakeside view, private, cozy cabin lives up to the name of the lakeside rental spot with others nearby, attentive host who made sure the gas fire was going, convenient drive to breweries, vineyards, antiquing, and arts of burlington and surrounds.

This was just the kind of place my family and I were looking for! It was peaceful, comfortable, and provided perfect access to Lake Champlain. Everything was provided for us: linens, towels, pots and pans, a grill and even kayaks and the pfds. Ilya was very polite and responsive.

This was a wonderful place to stay! The cleanest cutest cabin with everything you could need. (extra pillows, blankets, kitchenware ect) It was private with a good size yard for my dog to play in. Yes I said dog! She is one of the few Airbnb rentals that allow a dog, this was huge for us. The beach was beautiful. She has kayaks, a canoe and floats to use. A great fire pit and hammock as well! It was so sad having to leave, Melanie was a wonderful host. We are already planning for next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Laura's place! It was perfect for a small family getaway. The only disappointment was that the weather did not cooperate enough to try out the cozy fire pit. We enjoyed sunrise from the living room and morning walks for coffee and bagels. Would definitely recommend.

High View is a beautiful cabin., with a lovely view of the lake and mountains. The cabin is small, but very comfortable, with a great porch and deck. We had a lovely time swimming., reading, and plying with our puppy. Skip and Barbara are lovely and so helpful - they take perfect care of the camp and are friendly and generous. We’ll definitely rely go back.

David's place was perfect for a quiet get away. Cottage as described. very clean. Bed very comfortable. Enjoyed the deck for sitting out at night and starting gazing. Enjoyed the use of kayaks for paddling. Nice spot for bike riding. Easy drive to Montreal for more exploring. Limited for dining out and buying groceries but we'll stocked kitchen with all supplies needed to cook and enjoyed use of onsite grills. will definitely be staying there again. David was quick to respond with clear and concise instructions.

David’s cabin is well equipped. Everything we needed was provided. The cabin is right near the lake - also near St. Anne’s shrine and Isle La Motte. If you are looking for a tranquil and renewing get-away on water, this is the place. Lake Champlain is magnificent- breathtaking really. From this cabin the entire peninsula is accessible - you can explore North and South Hero as well as Grand Isle. There are many nature preserves all with wildly beautiful views. Next time we will bring our bicycles and keep the car parked! The whole area is bike friendly. I can’t speak to eating out because we love to cook. The cabin’s kitchen has top notch knives and pans. We will definitely be back. 😎

Amazing views every morning and night! Perfect spot for our girls trip! A great getaway within driving distance of touristy destinations, or to just relax on the deck. Would stay here again!

A wonderful cottage in a perfect and quiet location. We had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. I have to give extra points for the cozy bedding. I haven't slept that well in awhile!

This place is peaceful, beautiful, a gem. I loved hearing the water from the sundeck (porch with windows): looking and hearing the water, feeling so close was a balm and beauty. For those seeking rustic beauty, you cannot do better. The home is well set-up: cozy, stocked, inviting. The sky is full of stars, the tide comes in and out, the woods are just there. David's local recommendations were also outstanding, making us feel like visitors welcomed personally. We followed several of his suggestions at an easy pace: and so soaked in the quaint Brooklyn, WoodenBoatSchool, and gem-of-a-library. It was autumn with some rain, some cool, great beauty always. In other weather we might have done a campfire or bbq. Lovely seats outside. There were more places to sleep than we imagined there might be: it was just my teen son and I, so we didn't even go to the loft. This is a cozy cabin on the sea, with exceptional grounds and a good soul for host!

The house was extremely comfortable, provided all that we needed. The view was spectacular, there were plenty of games for all of us to play, unfortunately, the weather was not conducive to enjoying the beautiful lake. All the beds were very comfortable!

Our family could not have enjoyed our stay Chris and Makenna's any more than we did! They are terrific hosts, and the cottage was comfortable, clean, and so beautifully situated on the lake.

My wife and I have vacationed in the islands for 40 years. We are very familiar with rustic camps, and in our opinion this is a classic. The close proximity to the water, which was clean and weed free, was delightful, the sound of the waves lapping lulled us to sleep. The cabin is the perfect example of generational efficiency, very easily navigated as everything had a place. The huge porch was a bonus. Sunsets were beautiful. We were there in Sept. and it was very quiet, there are other camps nearby that were not occupied. The cabin had a woodstove, we did not need it though the mornings were chilly. No outdoor fires are allowed.
