Our cottage offers the quintessential Caribbean ambiance and a rich taste of Caymanian culture as displayed in its artefacts and paintings.
“Rhonda's place is even better than it looks in the pictures. Our visit started with the check-in conducted by Rhonda's son, Jonathan. He walked us through the entire house pointing out all of the features, took us down to the pavillion, the hammocks, and then finally the beach. He also took some time to answer questions we had about the week that we had planned. After that the place was 100% ours. If you end up needing anything else the house manual has contact details for Rhonda and some others if you need assistance. I also found Rhonda to be very responsive to messages sent over the app. We were provided plenty of food for our first breakfast (bread, milk, eggs, bacon, apples, coffee, sugar), as well as some staples such as peanut butter, pasta sauce, etc which was a big help in getting us off to an easy start with our first meal on the island. The kitchen had plenty of pots, dishes, silverware, microwave, stove, and a dishwasher. Rhonda has made sure everything you need is there. We found the house plenty big for our family of 3, and it its well decorated. I especially liked one of the pieces made by Rhonda representing a couple on the beach. Make sure that you don't miss spending time in the hammocks and the hanging bed at the pavillion. I highly recommend using the lights for the hammock area at night, and just lying there listening to the surf. In addition to the hammocks and the hanging bed we really enjoyed the beach where we built a rather large sand castle and decorated it with the numerous shells that washed ashore. There is great wifi coverage throughout the house and the property all the way down to the beach, the TV supports Netflix, and the on site laundry facilities are handy if you don't want to do laundry when you get home. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet home base for your time on the island, you may find it so comfortable that you may spend a day or two just enjoying Ruby's Hibiscus itself.”
A tranquil oceanfront escape for couples and solo adventurers... Ours is a unique community with quaint freehold condo cottages on a vast tract of oceanfront land. Wake-up in bed to a lovely view of a luscious green landscape that melds with the emerald green and blue ocean, sip a hot cup of coffee on the porch, enjoy a sunset cocktail by the ocean front pool, break a sweat in a friendly game of tennis, or take a blanket out to the lawn under the palm trees for breathtaking star gazing.
“Sonya and Roberts place is a little slice of heaven. We traveled to Cayman for a a friends wedding at Pedro St. James Castle (4 mins away). Situated near the beach you are greeted by the sunshine and crashing of the waves as you look out your window. Sonya did such a great job at making us feel at home. No detail was overlooked as you walk in to a room that is perfectly cooled and filled with snacks. Of course we forgot some essentials such as tooth paste, hairspray and sunscreen, but as we should’ve expected, Sonya had us covered. The room is better than advertised, with a comfortable bed, a private and spacious bathroom, and the peace to resistance is Netflix already preloaded to whisk you to sleep after a long day on the town. Sonya is such a thoughtful and kind host who even offered us a ride to our friends wedding when she noticed our transportation was taking longer than expected. The cottage became a sanctuary for my husband and I as we could enjoy drinks on the screened porch or take a few steps outside and gaze at the star lit sky. When we needed some sun and sand, all we had to do was grab the beach chairs (complimentary) and take a quick 2 minute drive down to Spotts beach. If you are feeling more adventurous than us, Sonya also provides scuba gear and plenty of equipment for any beach activity you would like to do. When we left we couldn’t help but already think about the next time we would have the pleasure to stay at Sonya and Robert’s cottage. Rest easy and know that when you stay with Sonya and Robert that you are going to receive a 5 star treatment.”
Our place is located in the most popular area of the world famous Seven Mile Beach, adjacent to the Royal Palms beach bar and restaurant and a short 5 walk to the Camana Bay town centre which includes many fantastic restaurants, bars, shops, cinema and other entertainment. Conveniently located on West Bay road, which is on the public bus route. The place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
“Greg's condo is very well located just steps from the beach and a 10 minutes walk to Camana Bay and a large Foster's grocery store. It has all the amenities you could need including beach towels and chairs. The place was very spacious, had an excellent tv channel selection, and a really comfortable huge bed to boot. Greg was very accommodating for a quick and very last minute trip and made check in and check out very easy. Thank you!”
