Waterfront holiday rentals in Grand Canal

This is a really nice place in a calmer and more “local” location of Venice. The views are fantastic of the water, canal, and a gondoliering school outside. Lots of great restaurants nearby with IMO the best views of Venice. Those who know how NJ has the best views of NYC would understand. Be careful coming back from the main island later in the evening as the Vaparettos don’t run the same routes as during the day.

Un departamento increíble en una zona tranquila alejada de la zona turística, pero accesible a la misma vez. Fue muy satisfactorio hospedarnos aquí, es mejor y más hermoso de lo que se ve en las fotos. Si vienes a Venecia ¡tienes que quedarte aquí! Gracias Marta por hacernos sentir como en casa.

We had a wonderful stay in this amazing apartment in a beautiful part of Venice overlooking canals and most of Venice. The large private balcony was the highlight of the apartment . It is a short distance away from the busy tourist areas but these are easily accessible. There were loads of lovely places to eat close by and supermarkets to buy supplies. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön in winem venezianischen Stil eingerichtet. Sehr ruhige Lage, kurz Anbindung an den Anleger und gemütlich. Da wir zu 4. dort waren, musste 2 Personen auf dem Schlafsofa übernachten. Das war leider gar nicht komfortabel. Das Hauptbett hingegen war super. Genauso sollte man wissen, dass es keine „richtigen“Türen in der Wohnung gibt. Auch nicht zum Badezimmer und zur Toilette. Was uns persönlich ein wenig gefehlt hat, war die klassische Bialetti für den Herd. Aber die Cafés sind sehr nah gewesen. Ansonsten ist diese Wohnung super ausgestattet und Giovanna ist sehr zuvorkommend.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cet appartement qui est très conforme aux photos. Le quartier est calme et paisible, loin de la foule même si très bien situé. L’appartement est parfaitement équipé, la co hôte a été très agréable et nous a donné pleins de conseils de visite sur Venise. La literie est très confortable (oreillers et matelas mémoire de forme). Si nous devions revenir nous choisirions le même logement car tout était parfait. Cuisine et salle de bain très bien équipées. Je recommande fortement !! J’espère à bientôt Pacome et Christelle

Marc and Elizabeth’s space is spacious and beautiful. The kitchen and bathrooms are tidy and well equipped, and the beds are comfortable for sure, but the inspiring design is what should compel you to book. All the details make it feel very special from the terrazzo floors, to the textiles, to the thoughtful lighting. My teenaged sons will forever remember lounging in that gorgeous living room, playing chess while Gilberto Gil and John Coltrane play softly on CD in the background. Cannaregio is a perfect place to stay — away from the most crowded areas but still accessible to everything . For reference, we were able to walk to the Maritime museum on the opposite side of Venice in 30 minutes. Elizabeth was kind and her dining recommendations were spot on.

What a joy to stay at this apartment within an ancient (16 c.) Venetian Palazzo. Simultaneously close to the hub bub of all the sites one wants to see but tucked away from the touristic noise and flow. What you do hear and see from the beautiful balcony is the ebb and flow of the veins on Venice, the gondolier calls and song, the sun tracing along ancient walls to the canal water telling you the time of day. Eclectic, tasteful and comfortable decor. Thoughtful touches added to the kitchen and bathroom for the guest. My month there was bliss, and blessed with the super responsive and thoughtful owner Cristiana. And the generous and patient " custode della casa" Claudia. I can't thank you both enough for help making my adventure so brilliant ! Palazzo Cavazza Foscari is not for anyone looking to stay in bland or generic hostelry. It is definitely for those looking for charming retreat in a magic part of Venice.

The communication with Uto was great! We had a small issue with the heating and Uto and Nicola were very prompt in solving the issue. The flat is cozy and well-located. It's in a quite "touristy" area though. Soundproofing between the two bathrooms is not good: turning on the ventilation helps. The bedding was very comfortable! Overall a very nice experience. Thanks Uto!

I highly recommend booking Andrea’s place in Venice. It was the perfect stay, with very thorough and clear instructions checking in. It is spacious, relaxing and offers privacy. The spa was absolutely perfect for relaxing after a long day of walking and enjoying the accommodations of the city. Andrea was also very kind enough to check in through messaging and make sure we had everything we needed. You’ll be highly satisfied and definitely feel that you got your money’s worth in this location. 10/10!!!

If this flat is available for your time frame, don’t hesitate. Possibly the best place I ever rented. Excellent location, pristinely clean, Great beds. Carlo went above and beyond to show us are surrounding area and highlights. Take his advice on the bakery and restaurant. So happy we were able to experience this place. I would go back. Thanks

Beautiful view and right next to Farragona water/boat taxi. The hostess was wonderful- flexible with our check-in/out. Easy to communicate. The apartment is spacious and clean. We always felt safe. It is a more quiet area and that was just what I was hoping - peaceful and relaxing.

We have an excellent stay in this property it is in a quiet neighborhood but with very quick access to local restaurants and attractions (including the Peggy Guggenheim) and easy access to the water bus. We would love to stay here again on our next visit to Venezia.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans la maison de Marco. Elle est très agréable, le jardin privatif est un plus très appréciable, la maison est très bien entretenue, bien agencée, et très propre. Le quartier est beaucoup plus calme que les quartiers plus touristiques que l’on rejoint facilement à pied ou en bateau. Irene qui a été notre contact pendant notre séjour a été très à l’écoute de nos demandes et nous a renseignés à chaque fois avec beaucoup de réactivité et d’efficacité. Nous avons vraiment apprécié séjourner à Venise dans ce quartier et dans la maison de Marco.

Superbe emplacement pour visiter Venise et ces alentours ! hôtes disponible et réactif. appartement facile d'accès.Le calme est très appréciable pour profiter de l'extérieur ! Venise est facile d'accès par le bateau ! Murano est relié directement à l'aéroport par la navette (bateau). Restaurant très sympa à proximité...bref l'idéal pour visiter Venise et être au calme le soir!

Die Unterkunft war einfach zu finden, der Check in problemlos. Die Lage ist sehr gut, etwas ruhiger abseits aber nur 10 Minuten von den Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön, es gibt nette Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Den Kindern (11 und 13) hat es sehr gut gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt un kommen gerne wieder.

La casetta rosa di Elena è comodissima, in una posizione strategica, molto centrale ma non caotica. Le camere da letto sono arredate con gusto. Elena è stata gentilissima e ci ha fornito ogni indicazione. Spero di poterci tornare presto. Valia

The best Airbnb I’ve stayed at! The most amenities, very clean, well stocked with coffee, tea, condiments, etc. Beatrice let us at the pier and helped us with our luggage and showed us where the place is, along with some restaurant and grocery store recommendations. She is soooo organized, very nice, the place was very roomy, decorated very nicely, and was in the heart of everything! Highly recommend this place!

Eine wirklich sehr schöne, ruhige und gemütliche Wohnung! ich habe mich sofort in die Murano-Lampen verliebt und in den Blick auf den Kanal und ins Grüne! ich fand es noch schöner als auf den Bildern.

We loved this Airbnb for our Venice trip! The location was cute and had everything we needed within waking distance without the touristy hub bub of other parts of the city. We felt welcomed by Elena and she was detailed and responsive about communication. Her lovely little guide book was very informative - great pizza recommendation! We also loved the wonderful decor - she has a great eye for decorating!

This apartment exceeded our expectations and it is even more beautifully decorated than the photos suggest. The careful attention to detail was truly superlative, extending to things like a shoehorn and hand sanitizer by the doorway, a pitcher of cold water waiting in the fridge, etc. It is very convenient to the train station, just steps away from the Ponte degli Scalzi (so only one major flight of stairs to navigate with luggage once out of the station) but yet extremely private (and very quiet with windows shut). Francesca was friendly and helpful; she greeted us in person and was very accommodating with our schedule. We'll definitely try to stay here again next trip to Venice - thank you for the wonderful stay!

Monica and Alessandro’s place exceeded our expectations even with the great photos and amenities. One of the best rentals we have ever stayed at for a family of four. Very clean, spacious, and comfortable (+ great AC). A lovely private rooftop terrace overlooking the unique Venice cityscape. You could not ask for a better location for visiting Venice. We walked to the majority of our sightseeing destinations. Even so, a water taxi is just a few minutes away to see the rest of Venice which made for fun and easy excursions. We really appreciated Alessandro meeting us personally upon our arrival, helping to get us checked in, and explaining some of the rich history associated with the apartment that made our trip even more immersive. We also appreciated that Monica arranged our transfers from the train station when we arrived and then to the airport at departure. They were super responsive throughout our trip. A true gem! The balcony really adds a unique dimension; to be able and watch every day life in Venice was so interesting. The apartment is in easy walk of great cafes and restaurants and handy for The Vaporetto and water taxis. We travelled with my 89 year old mother and were very grateful for the flexible check in after our early flight. We ate out each meal, so easy with so many great places in easy walking distance. Amongst our favourite, for breakfast was San Giovanni Vini e Cicchetti for fabulous chichetti !

Our group of five had a fantastic stay in Venice. Pietro was very helpful with arranging water taxis for us so we were able to be dropped off right at the balcony of the Airbnb. There are great restaurants nearby and it’s easy to walk to the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s square. Would definitely stay here again!
