Lillevik is a comfortable, cozy and completely remodelled vacation home in a fantastic location on Gimsøy in the Lofoten islands – in the arctic. Lillevik is the perfect base for exploring the Lofoten islands – it is quiet, but central: Gimsøy is «in the middle» of Lofoten, between local towns Svolvær and Leknes, with most sights and activities just a short drive away. Gimsøy is an island, connected to the main road E10 runs with two bridges. Gimsøya has superb conditions for watching the northern lights and the midnight sun: There is open sea towards north, and nothing to block the view – and no light pollution. Lillevik's large panorama windows give a great view of the northern lights and the midnight sun – and also sea eagles, seals, otter, porpoises (dolphins), foxes, owls and maybe a weasel. Even Lofoten locals travel to Gimsøy to get the best conditions and avoid the crowds in the high season. At Lillevik you can experience this right where you live. Gimsøy, and especially this part, is exceptionally quiet, even for Lofoten. Less than 200 people live at Gimsøy, and a large part of the island is a nature reserve. There are hardly any cars driving on the road past the house – no need to worry about traffic. The house’s plot is 92,000 square meters (23 acres), and the private beach is just 100 meters (109 yards) from the house. Everything you need is nearby: Local towns Henningsvær, Svolvær and Leknes are a 30-40 minute drive away. It's 7 kilometers (4 miles) to Gimsøy Landhandel with groceries, café and gas station, 1.5 km to the long, white sandy beach at Hov. Unstad (50 min), Uttakleiv (1h15), Nusfjord (1h15) and Reine (1h50) is within easy driving distance. It's a 30 minute hike up to the summit of the mountain Hoven (368 m) with an impressive 360° view. The house was built in the 1960’s and has gone through an extensive two-year remodelling in 2018-2020. In practice, the house has been completely rebuilt. The original atmosphere is preserved, updated to modern standards. The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line appliances, the bathrooms are modern and comfortable, and all beds are of good quality. Please see the reviews to see why Lillevik is so popular. The Lofoten islands cover a large area, and exploring Lofoten does requires some local traveling. Use Lillevik as your base and your home away from home: Spend your time exploring Lofoten, not moving in and out of houses. Spend some days at Lillevik, you'll be happy you did!

This is truly a fantastic place. It is an old totally renovated fishery. The size is 180 square meters, and the pier is 200 squares. The house has everything you need and appears today as a new exclusive modern house. It has 2 bath, bathtub, 4 bedrooms with a big (200cm x180cm) nice bed, modern kitchen, very good WIFI, 65" TV, washing machine and dryer, and an exclusive sauna. This is a peacefull stay close to Lofoten nature in scenic surroundings. There are berries to be found in the area(August), small boat(July). A fox and sometimes an eagle may visit in the evenings, if lucky. By car the cabin is located: 42 min from Svolvær. 40 min from Henningsvær. 46 min from Lofotr Viking museum. 2 hours from Å. The cabin has a small gas driven fridge and oven, while a generator is run to supply electricity and water for showers. I will help with any technical issues.

Newly built cabin with a high standard and its own shoreline located in the middle between Henningsvær and Svolvær in Lofoten. The cottage is secluded located without neighbours. Walking distance to mountains and beach. Good opportunities for fishing for sea trout right outside the living room door. Cross country slope 100m from the cottage. Sun from early morning to late evening. The perfect starting point for an active and relaxing Lofoten holiday!

We absolutely loved our stay at Angelita’s Rorbu! It is spectacular. The views are breathtaking at all times of day - it’s such a peaceful and tranquil place to wind down while exploring Lofoten. The apartment is gorgeous inside and Angelita provided every possible amenity to make it feel like home. We loved cooking in the kitchen with local seafood (and Angelita’s incredible seaweed products - her shop is a must-visit)! We really appreciated the tranquil location away from the crowds but only 5 minutes or so from town for grocery shopping, etc. We loved the location of the rorbu in Lofoten. We explored towns, hiked, wandered and followed many of Angelita’s recommendations - and then loved winding down in the evenings at this magical spot! Angelita was responsive, helpful and so kind. We would love to return and stay here in the future!!

Absolute 5 Start Place. The accommodation is just beautiful, a great Place to relax. It is equiped with everything you can imagine and need. Saune and Whirlpool top everything off. Besides the Hosts are super friendly and easy to talk to and normally respond within 10-30 minutes.

12/10 stay Perla is simply a wonderful house, we immediately felt at home. It really has a soul. You will find everything you need for a perfect stay as a large group in Lofoten. The cosy, warm and detailed atmosphere of the house is second to none. It was the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in and I can definitely recommend it. Hege and Johan are wonderful hosts, very friendly and accommodating. We would have loved to stay longer, maybe another time.

The place was really perfect in every way. The two of us spent 5 nights there in March and were completely satisfied. The house was spacious and very nice and tidy. There was really everything you could need there: the kitchen is modern and fully equipped, there is a small fireplace that made the whole thing more cozy in winter. It really felt like home. We even saw northern lights from the property. The landlords were also very kind and responded immediately to every question. We were absolutely delighted and would come back right away!
