Holiday rentals in Gerakari

The villa was spotless, and everything was in perfect condition. A bit out of the way but with a car was the perfect spot; overlooking the sea and a 10 minutes drive to the nearest village and supermarkets. Really close to Kourtaliotiko gorge and waterfall. Overall was really impressed with this villa and would happily visit again!

The house is lovely and has everything you need: Fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. And the pool is really a plus! The village of Gerakari has a relatively cooler climate and even in August the nights were nice and cool. In a few minutes you can walk to a local super market and 2 tavernas . We especially liked To Kentros, which is an authentic Greek gyros place/taverna.

Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Wonderfully well equipped Villa. Beautiful location surrounded by mountains, amazing views to wake up to every morning. Perfect for large groups of people with plenty of comfortable living space. Great location for peaceful relaxation, or to be used as a central location to explore Crete from. A hire car is a necessity, be prepared for narrow village roads and winding mountain passes. Meronas has a few small cafés/ restaurants with good food, all locals were very friendly! Check in is completely painless, the hosts were incredibly useful with very fast response time to any issues. Strongly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful villa! The house is truly luxurious, in perfect condition, and tastefully designed with great attention to detail. The layout of the rooms is simply brilliant — spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. The heated pool was one of our favorite features — always at the perfect temperature to cool down and unwind at any time of the day. The location couldn’t be better: just a few minutes’ walk to the beach, where you’ll find plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and shops. A very special thank you to our amazing hosts! They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always just a message away. Every little question or request was answered within minutes — we felt truly taken care of from the very first moment. We can highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect holiday on Crete. We would love to come back anytime! Thank you so much, Eleni&Georgios!

4-night stay, the view from the terrace is very beautiful and we have a lot of space. Everything is functional and Stelios and Melpo are friendly. We contacted the translator and received a warm and generous welcome, which is rare elsewhere. We recommend visiting Spili, the Monastery is a splendor... Antigoni a very good tavern with the week of spit-roasted meats... for the French the Pork Shop is actually suckling pig as in the Basque Country... it's amazing... Finally avoid Maravel Gardens, a tourist trap... the Supermarket near the second Orthodox church in the village is the best...
