Holiday rentals with a sauna in Geilo

We had a wonderful stay at Geilo and could not be happier. The apartment was clean, two bathrooms and was centrally located to ski resorts and only 5-10 minutes drive from the city center. Communication with the landlord has been great - quick responses, helpful, and very welcoming. It was easy to schedule both check in and check out, and the whole process felt safe and smooth. Highly recommended - we'd love to be back!

When we arrived, it was easy to get in and settle in. A handwritten note and a welcome gift (chocolate and coffee) made us feel welcome. The kitchen was great with necessary utensils to easily be able to cook meals and it was the first time I rented a home where the knives were sharp(!). Other things that we appreciated were that there was soap, dishwasher detergent, kitchen towels, toilet paper and wood for the fireplace. It is noticeable in a positive way that this apartment is used by the owners and is not just for rent. There is free parking below the apartment and it took 3-4 minutes to walk to the piste (with toddlers in ski boots). There is also free parking right by the lift where you can buy both lift passes and rent skis. We were asked to vacuum, wipe down all surfaces and dispose of garbage before checkout which was no problem. We can definitely recommend this home!

We had a great stay at Kike's apartment, which was very nicely located with a short distance to the hill.

We had a really lovely stay. The location is amazing directly on the ski slope with beautiful views. Fred was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and quick to respond. Remember snow chains - the apartment is located high ⛷️

Great stay in a great location! The apartment had everything we needed. With a very short way to the ski slope, the kids could run a little alone in the plate lift right next door, while we adults dressed and got ready for the day. Short driving distance to grocery store. We had a great time and would love to come back!

Super helpful and responsive host. Lovely apartment in great location for town and skiing (downhill and cross country). Easy walk to shops, and the highland lodge pool/gym/sauna/bakery just next door are great. For skiing we walked to bus stop up the road with young kids and it was ok, but did have to carry their skis :) Apartment gets great sun in the afternoon, perfect on the balcony!

Hanna’s place is a great place for a family ski trip. The location is super convenient next to the slopes. The near-by hotel has a great spa, gym and restaurant. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. The view is incredible and if the weather is not as expected the sauna and fireplace are a big plus. Hanna was always available and super helpful. We highly recommend Hanna’s place.

Great spacious apartment, super for 2 families. We had dream weather and two lovely days on the ski slopes that are right outside. Can safely be recommended:)

Can't say enough good things about this place, or about our amazing host, Sven. The apartment is exactly what you expect from the pictures...spotless, well appointed, and an outstanding location. Spent New Year's at Sven's place and it did not disappoint, nor did Hemsedal. Watching the fireworks from the deck of Sven's place was something we will never forget. Parking is in the same complex and is super easy. The location is close to the lifts...a few minute walk...as well as to the restaurants and shops in the SkiStar Lodge. In every way, perfect! I have to add that Sven was the most helpful, courteous, and accommodating host we have ever had in our travels. Truly a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for hosting and for sharing your place with us!

Hi together, the apartment is located in an 8 apartment building, but it is very calm, even though New Year. The place is clean and the kitchen is also equipped with basic foods (salt, sugar, rice, sauce, flour, tea). Some of the food items should be thrown away (over use date), but there was no bad food. We had a great time for 7 days. There are many runs to ski or the possibility of alpine skiing in the winter. We can recommend Anders the apartment to 1,000%. Thank you so much =). Martin and family

Cosy appartment with a stunning view on the mountains and slopes. Easy access to and from the slopes, 50m walk only. Well equipped kitchen too. Would love to come back here if we were to ski at Hemsedal again!

Very good host who was friendly and quick to respond. I sit in a wheelchair and easily get around the spacious and nice apartment. There is a small edge in, but with a manual wheelchair it was easy for me to cross. For those with any electric wheelchair, it may be more challenging. All in all, very satisfied, 10 out of 10. Recommended!

Our group of five women had an amazing stay at Eli’s place! The kitchen was perfect, the beds comfy, and the views were absolutely stunning. Eli was a kind and thoughtful host. I’m already hoping to come back with my family!

This was our second time staying here and Aleksander has upgraded with a sauna and the outdoor area as well. Lovely place, quiet, everything works great, and close enough to several ski centers and other attractions with plenty to do. The perfect place to disconnect!

A simply wonderful place to enjoy the Norwegian upland, with ski trails from the door, super floor heating, warm historic vibe, and a comfy couch. It has two tables that seat six, a kitchen with tools, utensils and servingware to cook for a crowd of 12 (or more) and serve them coffee and wine, and a dishwasher for cleanup. It’s very well-equipped—like visiting an aunt with one of everything—so there was a right-sized ski pole when we broke one, an extra pulk and harness, plastic sleds for a small army of children, extra ski wax and tools, and the mudroom has long benches for booting on/off, and tons of hooks for hanging outerwear. When wood for the fireplace ran low, Bengt responded quickly.and had it delivered. There are tons of books in the Nordic languages as well as English on many topics including the local area and beyond. The market in Ustaoset is a short walk/ski, and Geilo was easy to reach by bus, train, or taxi for stores, dining, or a downhill ski. Love. This. Place.

This place is super spatious while still retaining the very cozy look and atmosphere of a traditional cabin. It’s located just a few minutes’ drive from Hemsedal ski center and other amenities, but provides a quiet mountain feeling, solitude and privacy. Morten, the host, replied quickly to all our questions, and was super helpful with information. The outdoors hot tub takes a bit of patience to fill and heat up, but is totally worth it. All in all we had an amazing stay!

Great place with beautiful surroundings! We stayed for 4 days with our kids and had an awesome time. The kids especially loved it. Would definitely recommend!
