We had a lovely stay in the Cabin. Definitely can recommend!

Inge was very accommodating as we had a lonnng ride over Baviaanskloof, we rocked up late. She didn’t care, just wanted us to get warm and comfortable as quick as possible. Beautiful place on the river with lots of friendly dogs and a tame Meerkat visiting us and entertaining us.

We had a wonderful stay at the Boomhuis! Elsa was an exceptional host—her communication was clear, prompt, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. The cabin itself was amazing—exactly as pictured and described. It had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing break from the city. The setting was serene, and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for. We would absolutely recommend a stay here and hope to return ourselves!

We had a lovely peaceful stay. The location and views are stunning and we enjoyed our hike on the property. Celia was great with our arrival and stay and organised a hamper of local produce for us. We enjoyed the hot tub and star filled sky but unfortunately the day we got there was extremely hot and the cabin filled up with insects in the evening. We have a sedan vehicle which was a challenge on the rocky dirt road and if your vehicle sits quite low take note of this. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you’re looking for some peace and solitude.

Our second time staying in the cabins. Feel very fortunate to visit this beautiful and special place. The house is tastefully decorated and has everything you need to have a relaxing time away from home. Hope to visit again soon!

We had the most magical stay! What a beautiful cabin right in the mountains of Suurbraak with a lovely hike to a waterfall directly from the property. The cabin is stunning, we loved how much thought went into everything, we felt comfortable and relaxed! Highlight: spending every evening on the bean bags by the warm indoor fireplace! Beautiful kitchen inside the cabin, indoor & outdoor shower, the communal area is also great with the pool, large seated firepit and lots of relaxing spots in the garden to sit. So special! Cant wait to come back. Kane is super helpful, can buy more wood on the property and we felt very taken care of!

this little gem nestled in the tranquil lush valley of the wilderness forest was fully equipped with added extras like candles; yoga mats; a beach umbrella; ground coffee; olive oil. being two creative beings, we appreciated the fun splashes of yellow around the cottage 💛 because of its remote location, mobile reception was very limited to non-existent so be prepared to disappear off the grid. perfect for a city-life detox.

A lovely, quirky cottage in the mountains with loads of personality and surrounded by nature. Graham is a friendly and responsive host who makes you feel at home before you even arrive.

This cabin was exactly what we needed after a hectic week—the serenity was truly unmatched. The scenic views were breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere made it impossible to leave. We arrived late, but Chantelle kept checking in on us, which was so thoughtful. Upon arrival, Marc was there to welcome us, show us around, and share some great recommendations. Their hospitality made the stay even more special. It was so relaxing that we ended up canceling our plans just to stay in and soak up the tranquility. A highlight of our trip was spotting elephants right outside—Chantelle even messaged us to let us know they were nearby! This was one of the most peaceful stays we’ve ever had, and we truly can’t wait to return!

what a wonderful stay attention to detail was amazing

The cabin is in prime location between the tree top where the Knysna Lorie's and other bird life keep you company. The cabin is beautiful and cozy. We enjoyed the indoors fire place and main bedroom overlooking the amazing forest views. The beds are very comfortable with good linen. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful oasis 😍 peaceful, relaxing and a real cabin feel! We went there to do some wedding planning and were greeting by a beautiful personalized board and a bottle of wine. The hot tub was a huge hit as well, we braved it at night and it was a perfect addition to the forest feel of the cabin. Liesl could not have executed the interior design any better, evey time you look around you see a new small detail of thought and care. Cannot wait for our next trip to Knysna, we will definitely be back!

The most incredible view from the house right over Victoria Bay. A real treat ! Completely 'off the beaten track' and very private within a secure nature reserve. About a 15 minute drive to George from the Nature Reserve - but one would think you were far away from a busy town. Very peaceful and quiet. On reading the description for the cottage on AirBnB, one is not made aware that it's quite a drive along a paved country road , with quite steep ascents, to reach the cottage. I was , relieved to be driving a high clearance 4x4 SUV; however, a sedan driven carefully in 1st gear would be fine. The road to cottage is best driven during daylight hours. I recommend that you do all your shopping as well as stocking up on firewood , firelighters and matches before you drive to the cottage. Comfortable furnishings, Wifi, delightful fireplace, washing machine, dishwasher and plunge pool with a view. I highly recommend this delightful cottage - go on an adventure- it's totally worth it

This is a lovely secluded tiny home with everything you need in tranquil surroundings. The final section of dirt road was easily negotiated with a small rental car.

Even though I had the unavoidable inconvenience of a delayed trip and the eventual cancellation of my entire booking, I could not have asked for a better and more gracious Host(s) in Elmarie and Arie. Elmarie was so easy and pleasant to communicate with and was ever ready to assist me in any way (and going above and beyond) during my delayed trip and trying to reschedule the dates to suit. In every way, even though I was unable to take advantage of my booking, I have absolutely no hesitation in rebooking a stay there - should the opportunity arise again in the near future. Not only was Elmarie a gracious and understanding Host, but more important was the friendship and connection with the heart of the South African people. I am immensely grateful and thankful that I have had the experience to know Elmarie.

We love everything about this very special Cabin and had the most wonderful weekend with our friends and kids. It’s even better than in pictures and the views and location just so special. We can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to just get away from it all and go to a very magical place with beautiful views and sunsets. Thanks for letting us enjoy it!
