House holiday rentals in Galápagos Islands

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at Janet and Juan Carlos’ place. The location was ideal - stone’s throw from some of the best restaurants on the island and an easy water taxi ride away from the town side of Puerto Ayora. Juan Carlos was in and out in a separate house on the property and very responsive to any questions we had. We were out most of the time on various day trips but it was a great place to come back to, unwind and enjoy the pool. Our thanks to both Janet and Juan Carlos for being terrific and welcoming hosts!

Charles and Ximena were great hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Galapagos Cottages is an excellent location clos e to Tortuga Bay. Also, the coffee, milk be beer in the frigde was perfect.

Amazing ambiance and excellent service. Only complaint is partially my fault, but some direction on airport logistics prior to arrival would have made trip more enjoyable, I was unable to make it to destination upon arrival because ferries were closed, and come to realize this massive inconvenience could have been avoided by knowledgeable communication, most visitors are not locals!! it's not OK to assume visitors know these logistics. Staff was amazing and particularly Lorana was absolutely amazing and made our trip 5 star she cooked delicious meals at really reasonable prices. Thank You Lorana!!!

Ximena and Charles were really great hosts. It was our first time visiting the Galapagos and they really made us feel welcomed. They organized everything we needed from the moment we arrived at the airport, helped us book tours, find restaurants, etc. The cottages are well stocked with breakfast, drinks and fresh fruit. It was really an excellent stay. We would happily stay here again.

Gecko was a great place to stay, the hosts were lovely and very responsive to questions/queries. The apartment was cleaned almost every day and we had a supply of bottled water for our 2 week stay and just had to ask if we needed more and it was swiftly delivered. The walk into town is about 15 minutes which we enjoyed each time. We cooked in the apartment a few times, having an extra pan would have been useful but it was manageable. Lovely quiet outdoor space or table and chairs and hammocks. We arranged our airport transfers through Gecko and all went smoothly.

A great place to stay while exploring the Galapagos.

We had a comfortable stay at the apartment. Daniella & her Mother were very kind & helpful. The property is four separate bedrooms (each with ensuite shower room) shared kitchen/dining/living area.

Fantastic stay at Sun & Wind. Beautiful grounds and spacious unit with everything we needed. HUGE master bath and kitchen! Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful location on San Cristobal! We loved relaxing in the hammocks on the front porch, watching the action in the harbor, and listening to the sea lions. There are a couple of rocks across the street where the Blue Footed Boobies like to perch, so we loved going to observe them up close. The sea lion colony is right there, it was so much fun watching the families - mothers and nursing babies, sea lions playing with each other. We could actually see the house across the harbor from the pier when we got off the ferry, and we walked right to it. On our last day we walked a half mile to the airport. We also walked to Playa Loberia which was about 2 miles each way. The snorkeling there was amazing - we swam with sea turtles and all kinds of fish. The house was great - the 3 bedrooms had great air conditioners for sleeping at night. Our stay was wonderful and we'd love to go back!

Excellent host, friendly, helpful, always communicative, he suggested tourist places and activities, he always guided us within the island. The apartment met the listing specifications, cozy space, good lighting, ventilated, spacious bathroom, very nice finishes and everything in good condition.

Beautiful house in the heart of nature. Full of wood, you feel like in the forest. Very clean and very well equipped - a dream home. It is not in the center of city, but easy reachable and the view from the terrace is worth the journey. You would like to buy it and stay there forever:) and the owners are just amazing:) Prekrasny dom v srdci prirody, voniaci po dreve. Velmi cisty a perfektne zariadeny - ako vo vysnivanom dome. Nie je sice priamo v meste, ale ten vyhlad z terasy za ten kusik cesty stoji. Najradsej by ste ho hned kupili a ostalu tam navzdy:) a majitelia su proste uzasni

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful appartement. The family is very friendly and helpful! The location is really good, the kitchen has everything you need and they do laundry as well. They also recommended us Larry, a cousin of the family, from „Galapagos Dreams“ travel agency, with whom we booked all our tours and it was excellent! Thank you very much for having us!

Many thanks to María Elena and Carlos for the great hospitality they showed! My family had a very nice time and the house was very comfortable for our needs. I was a little far from the dock but it's only a 10 minute walk but with her taxi recommendations it was more than enough for my parents to move around easily. Thank you very much for everything!

Ashleigh was a wonderful host—kind, thoughtful, and communicative. She brought us bananas from a local farm, left toys/books for our toddlers, and checked on us during a power outage. Rosita was great, cleaning daily. The house is perfectly located: a 60-second walk to Playa Mann, a stunning beach with sea lions swimming in the surf, calm water for kids, and 3 small restaurants with ocean views. Taxis out front take you anywhere for $2-3. It’s outside town, so quieter—we loved that. Evenings on the veranda in hammocks, watching harbor sunsets, were magical. A 10-minute walk gets you downtown to the port street or the National Park entrance for beach hikes and snorkeling; you basically can't get any closer! Both bedrooms have AC. The kitchen/dining room is separate from sleeping quarters, linked by the veranda, which was unique but fine. Ants and geckos got in, but didn’t bother us—embrace the Galapagos wildlife! Don’t hesitate to book; this house will make your Galapagos trip amazing!!

I had the most amazing stay at Joseline's house on Santa Cruz island! Her house is beautiful and well designed. You can tell she puts a lot of thought into the space and the decor. The house is an easy 10 minute taxi ride to town and I appreciated the peace and tranquility of Joseline's place compared to the hustle and bustle of the town. The house is a bit higher altitude than town which helped keep the temperature a few degrees cooler. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for cooking some meals. Her house is a great base for exploring the island! Make sure to check out the nearby ranches where you can see the giant tortoises and don't miss Tortuga Bay and Las Grietas for cooling off! I can't wait to return to Galapagos and I will definitely stay at Joseline's again!

A cozy and familiar place, easily accessible as the listing description, the host a very friendly person, recommended tour agencies and solved all my questions... recommended 100% would come back again!
