Family-friendly holiday rentals in Frontenac County

I booked this cottage for myself, my son, my mom and sisters. It was perfect for our needs. The lake is gorgeous, accessible and very nice to swim in. The cottage comes with lots of water activities included (kayak, canoe, paddle boat). It’s also very close to Westport (20 min) which makes a fun little half day trip :) We did it, and it was nice to get out for a bit. The cottage is part of a larger cottage resort. They have different accommodations for large groups which is something I’ll look into the future. The larger house on the property has an even nicer private beach!

The retreat is a lovely tranquil spot in the Ottawa Valley. It is spacious and comfortable, with lots of big windows looking out on the surrounding countryside. The only close neighbours are the deer and the wild turkeys. Carol is a friendly and charming host and she responds right away to any requests. Highly recommended! I plan to return, any time that urban life gets to be too much!

We came here as a couple families together and rented out The Eagle. It was an amazing experience! Everyone enjoyed their time and there was something for everyone to do from young to old. We all really appreciated the view which was breathtaking at all times! Hot tub was a great bonus when tired from the long day of kayaking, biking, and playing volleyball. Marla is a great host and her place is a must if you plan on staying at any of the lakes in Ontario!

It was a great location for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately, couldn’t do any water activities due to the weather, but would love to visit again and do everything . Also, the availability of hot tub made the stay more fun.

We had an unforgettable experience during our stay and look forward to returning next year. The island was beautiful, the many different houses accommodated our large group and each family of the 5 that went had their own space to unwind. The kitchen was beautiful and made meal prep and cooking so easy. The kida had lots to do with basketball, board games, mini pool tables, hot tub and the highlight was definitely the swimming. The water was great, warm and clear at any given time during the day and the kids had so much fun jumping off the docks, using the paddle boats and the canoes. We all had such a great time and are so thankful to Marla and Sherri-an employee who helped us when we checked in and checked out- Sherri was a great help, kind, friendly, hospitable and even recommended a different cottage with less steps for next year that I will definitely look into because it was a beautiful experience. Don't think twice about booking your stay here my family and I loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at Springwood Cottage Resort! Ed were amazing hosts—always attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage had everything we needed, which made packing and settling in so much easier. One of the highlights was the access to paddleboards and kayaks—they were in excellent condition and it was such a treat not to have to transport our own. It’s the perfect spot for anyone who enjoys being on the water! We’d love to come back again, hopefully in warmer weather, to enjoy even more of what this lovely place has to offer. Thank you for making our stay so easy and memorable!

We stayed at Robin’s place for a weekend with 3 other families. Had a wonderful time and made full use of the great facilities. Highly recommended.

this was exactly as listed, and we are very happy with it! we travel for work so we needed something nice and affordable! it was a bonus we were able to bring our dog! next time we work in kingston, I will definitely be trying to book this again!

My kids, my mom and I loved the place. Beautiful and cozy cabin, surrounded of amazing landscapes. It is very peaceful and quiet place to have a real rest-time. We stayed for few time (unfortunately) as we were doing some activities in nearest towns, but, ths place is incredible to be in contact with nature, to do hicking, fishing, and swiming in the lake and many activit. You can buy delicious apple cider (we bought also for to go), eggs, and many farm products (vinager, etc) for a very good price. If you read all the information provided by the land lord and follow the rules, this place will exceed expectations. We will come back for sure soon for more nights!. We love this cottage! We rent a cottage near Westport every summer, and this one was for sure one we’d come back to. It’s only 2 minutes down a gravel road (incredibly short) and a 9 minutes down drive to the grocery store, while still being beautifully quiet on the lake. We saw tons of deer and did lots of swimming. Highly recommend. Also highly recommend the driving range just down the road! We “worked from home” for the week, and the wifi was more than capable of supporting that (not necessarily city speeds, but for video on meetings and Netflix it was perfectly fine!)

Rafael had a beautiful basement apartment, separate entrance and amenities. We appreciated the small touches of breakfast !! & toiletries for what we forgot. Close location to everything we need and family too. The only down side was we had an older and large top-heavy dog who couldn’t manage the stairs (husky malamute). They were advertised but I just didn’t think of it until we struggled, and our younger and smaller dogs were just fine with them.

Loved the access to all the recreational opportunities John had at the ready. We made excellent use of his extensive board game collection and the kayak! Very thorough instructions, making being there seamless.

My husband and I had the most amazing week at the cabin! We were blessed with 7 days of sun and no rain. Of course, this meant no running water, but we didn’t mind since we just used lake water! Our husky, Willow, explored all 65 acres and then some on our morning “backyard” hikes. We spent our days lounging on the dock and jumping in the lake to cool off, or swinging into the lake on the Tarzan swing! As stunning as the views from the lake were, views from the cabin were spectacular. I think my favourite spot was the screened in porch with panoramic views of the forest! This is where we decided to sleep every night, too! The cabin definitely exceeded our expectations and we will be back!

The cottage was perfect! We were a group of 6 women in our 30s and there was plenty of room for everybody. The cottage itself is large but so very cozy and the beds/couches were very comfy! The water access, sauna and property were all beautiful spaces and very well cared for. 10/10 would stay again. Thank you, Michael!

2nd stay there, great for large families

Nothing I could say in this review could ever fully live up to how lovely our stay was! We hosted our wedding in their beautiful backyard, and she made us feel like family! The hosts helped with anything we needed, and anticipated so many things we needed before I could even think about it myself! I can confidently say that this is the best experience I have ever had on Airbnb. The suite is clean, cozy, and has anything you could need already set out for you. I absolutely recommend this suite for your stay in Kingston.

We had a relaxing stay . Sid met us at front door and even though it was on the second floor Sid carried my bags upstairs for me . On Sid’s recommendation we went straight to a lovely Italian restaurant across road . The kitchen was very good and stove easy to manage . Bath towels lovely and soft with a beautiful smell. Enjoyed our stay. Having a second bathroom helps. We left a flower pot on the front porch. Location is with 5 to 15 minutes from the event we attended. Very neat and tidy , quiet and peaceful.

This was a perfect location to meet other family members. We loved the style of home and it was very comfortable (beds included). The many antiques and artistic touches made it special as well. The seating areas on the different decks were great spots for a quiet read in the morning or just enjoying the property. The hosts had it well stocked with condiments and other staples, and offered great welcoming snacks and beverages. Would definitely recommend to others.

This is one of the top Airbnb’s in Kingston. The location is right downtown and walkable to anywhere that most visitors and locals frequent. The apartment has everything you need to feel right at home. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is lovely (deep tub) and awesome shower, the kitchen is equipped with whatever you need to cook just about anything. Their beautiful back patio which is located on the rooftop above the delicious sandwich shop below is a fantastic way to unwind. No detail is forgotten, complete with personalized welcome sign. Kurt and Nicole are lovely hosts who truly care about providing their guests with the most positive experience possible. Easy and quick communication, to any questions/concerns as well as detailed updates and suggestions of best places to eat and visit while staying in Kingston.
