Holiday rentals with breakfast in Free State

Absolutely delightful! Johan is a fantastic host. The accommodation is comfortable, the home cooked meals are scrumptious, and the decor is fabulously quirky. We will most certainly be back. The Purple House is unhesitatingly recommended.

We had a wonderful overnight stay here and would absolutely recommend it. We were unfortunately delayed on our drive from Cape Town to Bloemfontein due to a major accident on the N1, which set us back by about five hours. Despite the very late hour, the host kindly stayed up until almost midnight to welcome us and make sure we got checked in safely and comfortably. They even went the extra mile by moving us to a different room so our young daughter could go straight to bed without needing to set up the pull-out couch — such a thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated after a long and tiring journey. The accommodation itself was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. It's conveniently located near shops, petrol stations, and takeout options, and it’s also super easy to hop back onto the N1 if you’re travelling between Cape Town and Johannesburg. All in all, a great stay with an incredibly considerate hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay at Amanda's home. The room was big and comfortable, with a massive bathroom and king sized bed. I enjoyed the friendly cats and chatty chickens the most, the place had a loveky farm feel to it.

5 Star rating. Vee and hubby were great hosts. Treated us like we were family. So welcoming, and so kind. Definitely looking forward to visiting Vaal Marina Guest House in the near future. Thank you for having us Vee

This is a unique and special BnB with friendly people who really care. Excellent value because the rooms are high standards, well equipped with basics and a full hot breakfast is included. The secure parking, garden, pool and common areas are added value so really appreciate the affordability of this room (#3).

The stay at the Ntsitlola Household was a wonderful experience. We received a warm welcome from the family. They are easy going and friendly hosts. The room we stayed in is as described in the listing and clean. Overall it was a home away from home environment and we highly recommend.

Had the pleasure to stay at this establishment. To say that it was spectacular would be an understatement. One of the hosts, Martin was friendly and so polite when we arrived. There is privacy and I loved the patio outside the room. The neighbourhood is safe, peace and so tranquil. This is definitely worth the stay. Thank you so much for being so accommodative. I definitely will be making this my first choice of stay when visiting Bloemfontein.

Judy was a great host who went the extra mile to make sure that our stay was very special. Her home madebreakfast was very delicious and the overall stay was calm and peaceful very much relaxing. Wouldn't mind doing a part 2 with Judy because it was that fantastic.

The place is beyond beautiful. As people who are familiar to Ladysmith we were beyond impressed that such beautiful sceneries exist there. Rooms and bathroom were clean and neat. Loved the minimal deco and neutral colours throughout the room.
