Waterfront holiday rentals in Forest of Dean District

The flat was everything my group needed. We stayed 2 nights and Charlotte very kindly allowed us to check in 4 hours earlier than the listing states. The flat is on the top floor of a complex, right in the centre of bristol. It had everything as advertised. Mentioned in the listing, was that the balcony was under construction and unusable. When we arrived this was still the case, however there is another balcony connected to the kitchen which helped us avoid disappointment for a morning coffee in the fresh air. It felt very safe, being in a complex, and was easily accessible 24/7. Charlotte mentions there being a chance of noise late at night, because of the proximity to bars, but it didn't bother us at all being 4 floors up. She was polite, friendly, and reachable by phone throughout our entire stay, answering my questions quickly. The flat is spacious but still cozy, with more than enough space for a party of 8 people. We were all very happy with our stay and we would stay again.

Absolutely perfect spot to explore town/ places of interest. Peaceful and safe location. Ideal parking. As described. Everything needed for a long weekend stay. Quick response to messages over left item and arrange to forward on 🙂

Lovely apartment overlooking Cardiff Bay. Great views. Easy on road free parking right outside the apartment. We managed to park 3 cars right outside easily. 40 mins walk over to Cardiff Bay. Penarth is a lovely little seaside town. Definitely recommend

The apartment was rented on behalf of visiting family members and ideally situated with close proximity to where we live in Minehead. The host has obviously put in a lot of time and effort to create a welcoming environment with a variety of nice touches, from pleasant room fragrances to decorations featuring areas of Minehead. Although it was primarily used as a base for sleeping and getting ready for daily excursions, we found the kitchen to be well equipped and spacious. Parking was a breeze, and the supply of a parking pass much appreciated. Despite the stairs to the second floor, we found it manageable and scenic views well worth the effort.

Perfect spot for me travelling solo for a quick stay. Very easy to find, everything I needed, close enough to centre of town to meet friends, Rhys was great and very responsive.

The apartment was even better in reality than in the photos - lovely decor and comfortable beds/sofas. As we had lovely weather for our weekend stay , we sat outside on the rooftop terrace relaxing at every opportunity, listening to birdsong and lake-watching the wildlife. We hadn’t appreciated the amount of activities on offer at Lower Mill Estate but used the outdoor heated pool, recliners and sauna before we checked in - it really started our weekend in relaxing mood. We went to Ballihoo restaurant during our visit and this was a great family restaurant, very casual with good food - a few minutes walk from the accommodation. We did some Cotswolds sightseeing on the Saturday and it was lovely to know our penthouse and sundeck was waiting when we returned in the afternoon. Jane recommended a local restaurant for the Saturday evening and we weren’t disappointed- the food was absolutely delicious and it made the weekend perfect. Jane & Nico - thank you for everything:-)

Apartment was exactly as it was shown and described. Fantastic view and position perfect for us. Walk into the city along the river was pleasant and easy, likewise the bridge over to the lovely restaurants etc in the Bay. We will definitely book this apartment again when visiting Cardiff. I cannot overstate how amazing this place is. I was looking for an escape into the woods and it was exactly what I wanted. The setting of the cottage is stunning, right on the river and surrounded by trees. It feels remote, even though it's only a short walk into the village. The welcome was really friendly, you can tell that the owners are very active in their community and have put together loads of local info. I particularly liked the map of the community forrest which made me feel confident enough to explore walks by myself. The cottage itself is beautifully kept, with everything that you need, and then some. I didn't want to leave.

Great location and communication from host

the only improvement i would recommend is to have a air conditioning unit. the temperature didn't go below 25oc in the lodge.

Amazing location, helpful and responsive host. We’re visiting the UK from Australia and this Airbnb was in such a great location, in walking distance to so many amazing sights and restaurants.

It was a lovely place to stay. My dawg enjoyed people watching especially the ones walking their dawgs. Everything you needed plus a downstairs loo which I didn't know about.

Will & Amanda go above and beyond to make their guests stay wonderful. Check in was so easy with very detailed communication. They provided a lovely welcome book with info on the area, what’s to do, places to visit etc . The house was immaculate and very comfortable with everything you needed. The surroundings were super tranquil and just the perfect spot to relax with family. It was so lovely to simply sit and watch the wildlife outside and activity on the lake ❤️ Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway from a normally fast paced life. WOW! WOW! WOW! Fabulous place, very clean, very tidy, lots of light, perfect weather, lovely decking area, lovely to watch watersports, very peaceful, comfortable beds with clean linen, good size bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely gesture from the owners leaving us some milk, coffee, tea and pizzas! We will be back, you won't be disappointed, book your stay and you will walk into this place and jaw dropping, it's an amazing place! Thank you Andy and Anne, we've had an amazing time!

Beautiful inside and out, very peaceful surroundings and love the enclosed garden for the kids. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, we're looking forward to going back one day.

Mark the host very helpful and Sue friendly and full of local info. Got to say after using AB&B for a few years this is one of the most attractive and comfortable we have stayed at. We spent a few days cycling and relaxing, local bus service conveniently available adjacent to the apartment. Local pubs a bit of a walk but food and drinks available at both. Look forward to staying again.

Our second stay at this lovely apartment. Great location, easy to get to / from. Everything to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Comfy bed - slept really well. Our favourite feature is the garden, right next to the canal, where we can sit and watch the ducks, geese and boats go by.

This location is exceptional ! we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and returning to such a tranquil setting after our wedding was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful day. 🤍🫶

I loved this apartment & had been looking forward to my mid holiday break. I needed a break & had some work to catch up on & hoped this would be the perfect environment, it was. A quick walk to the shops for all I needed and the apartment had a great work workstation with monitor & keyboard. Vanessa had everything you could need but the flat still felt uncluttered. I loved the view. Very clean, & comfortable. I did get out sight seeing a few days & how lovely to return to the flat or walk around the water.

Second time I have stayed at Shona’s. Perfect place for what I need. I really like the apartment. Great spot sitting on the balcony looking at the river. I would just be careful of walking after dark especially if you are female.

This is the fourth stay at Martine's apartment, and it won't be the last! Perfectly situated at the top of the town centre. Virtually across the road for the beach. Cafe underneath the flat serves amazing breakfasts, and a ice-cream parlour next door. What more do you want!
