From a warm welcome with cut meat, bread and cheeses, Maria Pia could not have been more helpful. She suggested some local restaurants and was quick to respond to any questions we had. Villa Giara is in a spectacular hillside location looking out across the plain to Lake Trasimeno and Castiglione del Lago. The picturesque villages of Paciano and Panicale are only a couple of minutes drive away. Both have cafes, bars and restaurants. The grounds surrounding the villa are kept immaculately, flowers adding a splash of colour and the trees providing shady areas if needed. The pool has a paved surround with seating and loungers and the view from here is superb as are the sunsets. We would unreservedly recommend a stay at Villa Giara. And Maria Pia is a fantastic host, she went the extra mile to make our stay an unforgettable one.

Our stay with Sheila and Silvia was fantastic! They were terrific hosts, and the property exceeded our expectations with its beauty and impeccable cleanliness. We opted for extra meals and a cooking class, and everything was outstanding. Silvia is an incredible chef, and the dinners she prepared were some of our best meals during our trip to Italy. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for cooking. The property offers stunning views, nestled in the hills about a 20-25 minute drive from Cortona via scenic, winding roads, so having a car is essential. There’s so much to explore within a 30-minute to 2-hour drive, from lakeside towns and wine tastings to thermal baths, spas, charming medieval villages, and plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants. I highly recommend booking here for a relaxing, delicious, and comfortable getaway.

Terrific stay for the month!

We had the most amazing time!!! Communication was perfect and quick with Valentina. Rosi and Stefano were so warm and welcoming! Our stay felt like staying with family! We had everything we needed and more! The whole property was beautiful and peaceful . The pool area was so tranquil and relaxing. Would give 10 stars of if I could! This stay far exceeded our expectations!! Would highly recommend 10 out of 10!!! The BEST part of our trip to Italy!! We will definitely be coming again!!

Beautiful place for a group of families. Lovely surrounds and near to many nice restaurants and towns

Krisztina and Lucio are two wonderful hosts, very kind and available from the first phone communications, flexible in schedules, they were able to recommend restaurants and places to visit. We were 4 friends for a weekend and we felt really pampered! The small village where the farmhouse is located is a postcard spot, just 15 minutes by car from Lake Trasimeno and other typical villages. The apartment has every detail, comfortable, elegant and traditional.

Absolutely amazing stay at this villa. Pool was perfect, villa was stunning, AC was much appreciated in the 90 degree heat, and the host was one of the very best ever! She was as our personal concierge helping set up a private chef, olive oil and wine tasting, truffle hunting and more. We spent a week and could have stayed longer there is so much to explore in Umbria and Tuscany and we absolutely loved it!

Anastasiia was a perfect host. Wonderful stay, incredibly professional description of the house better than hotels, all functional. A big terrace with wonderful view. A house decorated with lot of style without overdoing it. I came to this region many years because of family. I tried different hotels, wish i had discovered this earlier. Best experience for my Perugia stay ever. Anastasiia was so friendly so professional and so responsive. Can warmly reccomend to any guest wanting to stay here.
