Cabin holiday rentals in Folsom Lake

Creating memories with adult children who are living their own lives can be hard to schedule. We found the perfect opportunity for a quick weekend getaway hosted by Leif. What we thought we were getting was a house big enough to host our group. What we got, was so much more! As soon as you walk into the space, you realize that the pictures you saw on the posting do not do justice to the real thing. You’re transported into another era where life slows down and you realize the simplest of things are the really important things: like family. My children especially enjoyed the opportunity to meet Leif’s animals and feed them rinds and banana peels. Peanut was the star of the show ( if you know, you know). Thank you, Leif, for a beautiful weekend that provided a much needed respite, but offered so much more than we were expecting. We can’t wait to come back and make this a family tradition though next time we will stay longer and be more prepared with our animal food supplies : )

We had a wonderful time celebrating Memorial Day weekend at Willow's place. The amenities were perfect for our stay with plenty of space for us all to feel comfortable. The bedrooms were spacious, we enjoyed eating meals in the lovely dining area, as well as barbecuing and eating dinner outdoors under the gazebo. We even found an opportunity to take a soak in the hot tub. The location was desirable - close to several restaurants and stores. While in the area, members of our party enjoyed rafting down the American River, hiking to the waterfall in Sly Park, wine tasting, golfing, lunch at a brewery in Placerville, and take-out from the nearby pizza place which was actually quite tasty. We also appreciated the excellent communication between the host. We'd love to go back in the future - Pollack Pines has so much to see and do and Willow's place has all the comforts anyone could ever ask for!

There was a variety of snacks that were left for us, which was very appreciated. Also the hot tub was the star of the show! The place is clan and it comes with everything that I could think of. Highly recommend.

Just wrapped up a stay at the Treehouse Chalet and honestly, didn’t want to leave. The place is tucked away just enough to feel like a true escape, but still close to town if you need anything. Waking up surrounded by trees, sipping coffee on the deck, and theres a hot tub if you choose to relax in it. everything we needed was easily located The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-stocked. You can tell the host actually cares. Hot tub was spotless, beds were comfy, and everything worked like it should. Bonus points for the peaceful vibe and solid privacy. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The hot tub was particularly relaxing, and our family had an excellent time. The residence was spotless and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. The location is convenient, with several wineries nearby and approximately a 15-minute drive to Black Chasm Cavern. I would highly recommend this property as a excellent choice for families.

What a lovely experience at this property! The working ranch with a vineyard, creek,chickens,alpaca, goats and even a few puppies was refreshing! It was so thoughtful of the host to give us fresh eggs and a bottle of homemade wine! The veranda style deck, hot tub and expansive views of the mountains was so relaxing. The house had plenty of rooms to have your own space yet areas where we could all gather with great views. I would definitely stay here again! Just lovely!

We enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing stay over the Mother's Day weekend. The log cabin was so inviting and we liked discovering all the little decorative touches. The beds were very comfortable and the new showers were beautiful. The kids enjoyed the stream and we spent our time in the hot tub watching a fledgling robin learn to fly under the watchful eye of its mother. The kitchen was very clean and well-equipped. The crowning welcome was a loaf of fresh artisan bread and delicious baked treats on the kitchen counter from a local bakery. The only problem was that we had to go back to work and school and couldn't stay longer.

What a beautiful home inside and out! Our family really enjoyed spending the weekend here. Ge was a very responsive and helpful host. Thank you!

The house is filled with character and so much fun to stand, but the balcony overlooking the meadow below filled with oak trees down at the bottom really did it for us. Not to mention the grey fox that visited us a few times from a distance. What fun!

Home away from home

Shannon’s place was lovely. Great space indoors and out for 4-6 people and our huskies. Beautiful redwoods in the yard and visits by turkey and deer. Close driving distance to restaurants. Shannon’s place is very well equipped with anything you would want or need for dining, sleeping and relaxing. I always appreciate a property that feels like someone’s home rather than a hotel. Shannon’s place was exactly that. Shannon is a very responsive, communicative and helpful host! I should add that there are great vineyards and the lovely Sly Park nearby that we weren’t able to explore because we were in the area for a graduation in El Dorado . Would love to come back, stay st Shannon’s & explore more

The communication with Thoung was very easy, she is very helpful! The cabin is cozy with a small fireplace. Downstairs has a queen bed, a separate bathroom, and a bunk bed. There is a strong smell downstairs, so it’s not ideal if you’re sensitive. The upstairs master bedroom is spacious. Very quiet location with a nice deck for eating outside.

We all loved the house, the surroundings, and peaceful/quiet setting. It was comfortable, clean, well stocked, etc. Everything regarding our stay was A+! The pool table was a big hit too. Don & Cynthia are extremely helpful & went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Our group had a wonderful time and we would love to come back. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home.

The cabin was absolutely adorable. It has a super homey feeling, and super comfy. The stove is definitely the highlight of this place! The washer and dryer were super helpful! Cozy beds and towels as well.

Easy check-in, very comfortable and cosy stay, Kallie’s Airbnb has everything you need! Kallie was also very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

What a gem. The views are absolutely incredible, I can’t get over it! This home truly has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful stay. Plenty of coffee, fully stocked with kitchenware, extra blankets to cozy up with, pristine interior, I mean truly.. Too good. Easily the best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed at and would absolutely book again when back in the area. Thank you Alla for a wonderful stay!!!

We rented Sharen’s place for a family weekend with 7 guests. Check in was easy. The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The additional bunkhouses were great. We felt right at home. We easily cooked all meals in the stocked kitchen. The house is next to the lake and the fishing was incredible! We couldn’t believe how many fish we caught, including several good sized bass. We spent most of our time by the lake and met some very friendly neighbors. Note: bring bug spray. I would’ve stayed an extra week if I could have. Definitely deserves the title of Guest Favorite.

Loved this house: location, accommodations, view from every room, was spotlessly clean. Perfect for 3 couples or a family! Will definitely come back!

The very best of any Air BNB I’ve stayed at! The host was fantastic and the house was amazing. High end carpeting and tile, great bbq that we took advantage of. Pristine bathrooms with good water pressure. Not a single con to staying at Angelli’s place.

Cary Helen was a very kind and helpful host. The cabin is beautiful and we loved the furnishings and decor. We were also provided with a lake pass and inflatable paddle boards for the lake which was a huge help. Cary Helen is so very generous with check in and out times it really made a huge difference for our short getaway and we were very thankful. We hope to come stay at the cabin again sometime in the future!

This is a very clean place with a deck overlooking beautiful trees. Had a very relaxing time in the place for a weekend. The kitchen was well equipped. But a bit of limited furnitures in the place. Also, limited games for kids and no books in the house. Otherwise a very pleasant stay. We look forward to stay again..

Charming home, unique, very peaceful. Lovely neighborhood. Rustic. We enjoyed the atmosphere. As one might expect from a stone cottage there are dark rooms. Teya provided help with missing lights. For just the two of us we didn't mind the very tiny indoor dining table and since the weather waw nice it was very pleasant to eat on the deck. Thank you very much Teya for making this delightful home available.

This was our second trip back here and it was just as magical as the first time! We explored all over the property with our two young kids and dog and loved every minute. We took a short drive to a swimming hole on the Consumnes River, which was really fun. We'll definitely be back - it's our favorite little hidden gem!
