Blue Ridge Mountain Cabin

The cabin sits atop a mountain ridge at 3100 feet and adjoins 17000 acres of secluded forest.  A high clearance vehicle is recommended for the gravel road. It is solar powered with a small generator backup. It has a comfy sofa/recliner set, entertainment system, gas oven, kitchen, mini fridge, and manually heated shower. 1 King Bed and 1 Queen Pullout. It is secluded and quiet with 1/2 mile to nearest neighbor. Nothing overly luxurious! Just a nice place to get away with the basic necessities.

Go back in time in this lovingly remodeled Norfolk & Western Caboose Car complete with a queen size bed, sleeper sofa, table for two, and bathroom. This unique and unforgettable B&B provides a complimentary breakfast, mountain beauty, 4+ miles of hiking trails, and many other outdoor areas to be enjoyed by our guests. This home features a wide variety of options to fulfill your needs with a dedicated work space, 3 bedrooms with enough beds to sleep 12. On request we can provide 2 rollaway beds to sleep up to 14. A dining room, full kitchen, living room and 2 full bathrooms.

Go back in time in this stylishly remodeled 1978 Norfolk Southern Caboose Car with queen bed, futon, table for two and attached outside deck. The overnight stay in this lovely Caboose #1 includes a complimentary breakfast. Guests can enjoy 96-acres of beautiful mountain property and 4+ miles of hiking trails. This is a unique and unforgettable experience. All proceeds support Apple Ridge Farm, a non-profit that "Helps Kids Grow!". This rental is Pet Friendly with a $25 per pet fee.

Claytor Lake Retreat

You'll stay in our ground level (basement/first floor) suite with private entrance. The entire suite, which has a living room, private bathroom and bedroom is yours. A microwave, and Keurig is available, as is use of the patio, firepit, and grill. Beautiful lake views from our yard, especially sitting at our picnic table under the pergola, which is lit with solar lights at night. Lake access, trails, and a wonderful beach, are available at the state park, just 5 minutes away.

Motel 7 and 3/4 @ GrumbleKnot

We began hosting in October, 2017, and we welcome you to Motel 7 and 3/4 on Bull Mountain about 9 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway (the perfect place for any time of the year) ~~ 6 miles from Fairy Stone State Park... Martinsville Speedway is only 30 minutes away (if you are a racing fan), and we are on the Crooked Road Music Trail also~ Mount Airy, NC (Andy Griffith's home town) and Historic Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway is only a 30-40 minute trip away.
