Yes! Yes! Yes! Stay here!!!! Don’t even bother looking anywhere else. There is not enough space in this app to describe how pleasant our stay was. This home has everything we needed and then some! It was a breath of fresh air after staying in a mini-room in Oahu before arriving in Hilo. This was a very quiet, clean home with a large bathroom, large living space with living room and kitchen, and a large bedroom with tons of closet space. We could have easily stayed here a month in comfort. Save yourself some time, stop looking around. Book Tulpe’s place.

Super clean, excellent and pristine furniture. The garden and the surrounding were fascinating. I was surprised to learn that we're allowed to use the barbecue grill and the bon fire but unfortunately had little time to use as there are a lot of things to do at the Big Island. Hopefully next time! Thanks for the beautiful stay!

We were very happy with our studio! Very clean , surrounded by beautiful plants and tons of different flowers. We had our dog with us and she had fun too. Being able to do our laundry was a great benefit and blessing. Jacob was very friendly nice and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

We had the best airbnb experience with Suzanne & Lester as our hosts. Not only did they share their abundance of fresh produce in their huge yard, they were super accommodating and welcoming to our needs. We never ran out of the basic needs at the home. It was a pleasure and privilege to stay here. If you want a peaceful, cozy, and worry-free stay, I’d recommend staying here.

Liz had a wonderful home and was an amazing host! She was always very responsive and gave some great recommendations for activities to do during my stay. Her home was also a great place to stay outside of the Hilo area!

I have to say that the listing itself was wonderful. It was in a good proximity to where I wanted to go on the coast such as Black Sand beaches/ lauhalaland. I wasn’t prepared for the vibe in the town being so hippie-ish and seeing so many homeless people. I loved the room because it had everything you needed for a short stay. I felt like my car was safe overnight. We had a couple other people tell us not to park at the beach, but we left all of our suitcases in our room, so it wasn’t that big a deal. And it was fine. I guess the rule of thumb in Hawaii is to never leave anything out in your car.

location was centrally located between Hilo and the National Park for the volcanoes. it was easy to navigate and very clean and it had everything we needed. thank you Daryl

We absolutely loved The Sugar Shack! It was more than what we expected - the house had everything we needed, and the flow was seamless. Even though we arrived pretty late, the instructions on how to get to the house were very clear, and we found it without any issues. It felt like we had lived there for years, which made it so perfect for us. The location was fantastic - about an hour away from Hilo, nestled in the beautiful SeaView subdivision. We had the opportunity to check out an event at the SeaView park, which was a lot of fun. Plus, we were close to Volcanoes National Park and some stunning black sand beaches. We highly recommend The Sugar Shack - it was the perfect spot for our stay!

Absolutely beautiful home, exactly as the photos show and as described. Located in a lovely neighborhood and a great place to unplug and unwind. Spotty cell service (as expected for the location) but WiFi was excellent and allowed us to make calls if needed, plus there is a landline if needed. All amenities a traveler could need, including beach towels, toiletries, and spices/cooking supplies. Loved the nightlife (literal nightlife like frogs singing the song of their people at night). We felt safe and comfortable in this luxurious hideaway! Would definitely stay again! Yvette was also a great cohost who offered lots of tips for restaurants and sightseeing! We found them very useful and her local insight made our trip even better!

The house was completely clean, organized and with a reception of flowers and delicious pineapple. The house is very comfortable, and cozy. Having a juicer for green juice was amazing, as well as a great blender. We highly recommend it!!

Everything was as described. We had no issues finding the place, checking in or out. Everything was easily identified. Everything was clean, organized, and not “cheap”. Sometimes you get some Airbnb that use cheaper stuff (plates, cutlery, cups etc) but these cups were clean and legit. It’s small things like this that are appreciated. Beds are comfy, patio is comfortable. Locations: short drive to gas and small local market. Short drive to volcano and hikes etc. Great base camp for the area.

My wife and I spent four nights in the penthouse unit of Jenn and Kristian’s beautiful home. We loved our time there. The unit was in good condition and comfortably furnished and the private rooftop terrace was perfect for early morning stargazing.

Noah s place was great. Perfect location!! The volcano even erupted while we were there.!! Only 10 min to get there too! Yay. Def rent this place

We had a great family visit. Felt relaxed and right at home. Convenient market and cafe right down the street and the park was convenient. Host was very responsive. Would book again.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

LOVED this location and the unit! Gorgeous views of the adjacent park from the lanais and a great place for morning walks or runs. I also really appreciated the extra touches — the welcome basket, yoga mats, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Great value. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Maggie was very responsive and helpful. She had great recommendations and was flexible when I needed to add a night to my trip. The room has a great location and the balcony was amazing. It was very clean the bed was comfy and the fan combined with the AC kept it very cool. The pool was really big and had fresh water which makes a big difference. Overall a great experience A+ Mahalo Maggie!

The place was beautiful and really close to downtown Hilo. Carrie was very helpful and gave some helpful tips. Would stay there again anytime.

Linda is a wonderful host and has done excellent work in making this ground level studio unit clean and comfortable for guests. The condominium community is a little on the tired side, much like the town of Hilo, but it was lovely to come back after a day of jungle and volcano adventures to a clean shower and comfortable place to put our feet up. Also, the coffee that was left as a welcome gift was delicious! Thank you again Linda for your clear entry instruction and directions to the unit and very reasonable checkout / cleaning list. My daughter and I came for my son’s UH Hilo graduation and I invited her Dad to stay with us as well. The 3 of us really enjoyed Liza’s place. The kitchen is fantastic- really modern & extremely well equipped. We appreciated the large fridge with filtered water & ice in the door. 2nd bathroom was very handy when we were all getting ready. Location is only 5 min drive to downtown or less. I really can’t think of any negatives or items to be aware of - it was better than described, one of the best places we’ve stayed. We didn’t use the pool so I can’t comment on that. Garbage was easy to find. We didn’t use complex’s laundry either so I have no comment about that. I was surorised that we didn’t hear much from the other units. It’s a quiet building and everyone we passed was friendly. If you’re sleeping in the primary suite, be forewarned there is noise from the road below which gets loud at times. I messaged her twice with Qs and she replied super quickly. Staying here was my home away from home. We enjoyed the peace, sort of away from the busy roads. It was in the middle of a lot of places. They provided everything that we needed. Other than that, we will definitely return on our next trip here to Hilo.

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!
