Family-friendly holiday rentals in Ferma

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Despoina et Nikos . La vue, la piscine à débordement, la plage privée tout était parfait ! Merci à nos hôtes pour leur gentillesse et toutes leurs attentions (huile d’olive, petits gâteaux grecs )… Ce coin de l’île est beaucoup plus tranquille et moins surpeuplé que dans le nord et très pratique pour visiter certains lieux touristiques ( Agios Nikolaos, l’île de Spinalonga, Mochlos super joli village, Makris Gialos…). Nous apprécions également de rester profiter de la piscine et de la plage privée ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir et surtout nous communiquerons l’adresse à nos amis. On vous dit à bientôt.

We have just had the most gorgeous family holiday at Villa Belle Helene . It is the perfect villa equipped to the highest standards both inside and out and exceeded all our expectations. Inside is spacious and all the rooms have excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor areas, especially the pool and jacuzzi which were perfect to cool down in the heat and to enjoy. The sheltered area outside the lounge is perfect for eating and BBQs and the raised outdoor seating area with TV provides the opportunity to unwind in an evening. It is 10 mins walk up to Old Hersonnissus which has a lovely square with Tavernas and bars. Hiring a car is worthwhile to explore the island further but not essential as its easy to book taxis. Eleni and her family are absolutely lovely, they could not be more helpful and made us so welcome. We would absolutely recommend this villa and would love to stay again if we go back to Crete.

Accueil parfait, d'une très grande gentillesse et professionnelle.... La vue est superbe et le personnel toujours à l'écoute...restaurant très sympathique et excellent....et petit déjeuner parfait. Piscine accessible et très bien entretenue... Et les services supplémentaires que nous avons demandés ont été faits avec rapidité et compréhension.... 10 sur 10 à cette réservation ! Bravo

We had a wonderful stay here. Very peaceful. Often all you will hear are the bells clanging from the local goats. Delicious food at the onsite taverna. Beautiful lodge, with special touches such as a bottle of wine waiting for us to congratulate us on our wedding. Of note, this villa is very high up in the mountains. If you're flying into heraklian airport that evening, it's a long and dark drive up some very narrow and winding roads, so you may want to make the drive in the daytime. It's about an hour drive up/down the mountain to any other town so be prepared to drive. But the scenery is beautiful...majestic mountains.

Anestis was extremely helpful and pleasant and the place is amazing! Great view and sound of the water which was very relaxing. Close to a great beach town which was walkable.

Wir haben einen Teil unseres Urlaubs in der Wohnung von Aspasia gewohnt. Die Wohnung liegt im ersten Stock eines Wohnhauses, nicht weit vom Ortsausgang von Kalo Chorio. Die Vermieter wohnen im Erdgeschoss, und sind für Fragen jederzeit zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist vollständig ausgestattet, und bietet alles, was man braucht. Alles war sauber, gepflegt und funktional. Wir haben in der Gegend einige schöne Wandertouren unternommen, und konnten uns abends auf dem Balkon beim Blick auf das Meer erholen. Da die verfügbaren Parkplätze an der Durchgangsstraße liegen, sollte man das Mietauto nicht zu groß wählen.

Le logement est très bien et Antonis est très réactif. Nous avons été très bien accueillis. La villa est bien situé et Antonis nous a fourni des recommandations de restaurants et d'activités.

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

Ioannis Eltern sind wunderbare Menschen, die einer das Herz sofort öffnen. Besonders seine Mutter zeigte sich stets fürsorglich u verwöhnte mich mit selbstgebackenen Leckereien. Auch was die Wohnung betrifft, war ich vollstens zufrieden. Einen Stern Abzug bei den Details habe ich lediglich für einen Aspekt der weiteren Umgebung gegeben: die Südostküste wird durchaus mit einigen Hotels bestückt, die zwar keine Großbauten sind aber doch die Küste auf eine Art anfangen massentouristisch zu prägen, die mir persönlich nicht so gefällt. Aber wen das nicht stört ist dort bestens versorgt. Empfehlen würde ich für einen Besuch das Bergdorf Lithínes u für Wanderungen die Pefki- u die Perivolaki-Schlucht (letzte ist für Ungeübte aber anstrengend u herausfordernd). Wer buchen will, rate ich alle Angebote von Ioannis u Eltern anzuschauen. Im Nachhinein hätte ich lieber ein Zimmer im Obergeschoß gebucht… Volle Empfehlung!!!

A really enjoyable stay at Platankia. It was extremely well equipped and had everything you would need and more, only thing that would help would a microwave - the kids really enjoyed the toys that were in the beach basket and kept them entertained without the need for a TV etc. Be warned wifi is a bit slow but great if you want to disconnect from the Internet for a while. Some really great restaurants, would recommend Vespas for Pizzas and Vitsalo is great for seafood. Everyone in town is extremely friendly and kind and Myrtos is always contactable if you have any other queries. We enjoyed being able to pick oranges and lemons and made enough lemonade to sink a battleship! I really enjoyed the hmock and the slide and swing is great for children. It is extremely private as you have large greenhouses on both sides but at the same time it is super easy to walk into town. Overall I would definitely recommend this place and would come back. The gorge is worth seeing and lots of other stuff

Wij logeerde 10 dagen in dit heerlijke huisje. Een prachtig terras, fijn bed, gezellig huis waar alles was wat we nodig hadden. We waren er in de winter dus helaas niet veel op het terras kunnen zitten. Dorpje is schattig en klein met allemaal vriendelijke mensen en heerlijke authentieke tavernes. Thank you ♥️

The little apartment is located in a fishing village of Makry Gialos, in the far south East of the Island, full of nice restaurants but in a quiet spot, facing the sea. We found it very clean, set up with care. It has a good kitchen, a hair dryer, iron and board, and a very useful little book compiled by the host that described the surroundings. A little terrace and a lot of stray Cats around complete it. Reasonable price. A very good place to be.

Tolles, geräumiges Apartment in einem Komplex mit 3 Pools (inkl. Kinderpool) und kleiner Snackbar. Der Strand von Makrygialos ist schön flach und sandig und 3min mit dem Auto entfernt. Schattige Bäume säumen das Ufer, also ein perfekter Ort für Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Zum großen Supermarkt muss man etwas länger fahren, aber es gibt auch direkt entlang der Straße einen Obst- und Gemüsehändler. Dimitri ist sehr hilfsbereit und schaut regelmäßig nach den vielen Pflanzen im Vorgarten, also ist er auch sehr gut erreichbar. Als Familie würden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und die Unterkunft auch weiter empfehlen.

Die Unterkunft ist klein, aber fein. Alles ist sehr durchdacht gemacht und die Ausstattung ist bestens. Selbst für das erste Frühstück ist alles vorhanden. Auch die Lage ist super und Parkplätze in der Nähe sind immer frei. Checkin und checkout waren völlig problemlos und George ist immer erreichbar und sehr nett. Wir können die Wohnung nur empfehlen und würden sie jederzeit wieder buchen.

Eva and her husband are the loveliest people, you are greeted with open arms by Eva and have a good chat. The accommodation is 5 star with everything you need. Eva and her husband where very helpful in many cases such as the walk to Lidl was great but the shopping we done was too much for us to walk back so Eva’s husband offered to pick us up! Our overall stay was amazing both too far from shops and rentals. This place is perfect for a quiet place to head off to and for the beautiful scenery. If you want to get around and visit places there is public transport but I would recommend renting a car or an ATV as this is what we did for our stay. I would recommend this place to anyone for one of the most beautiful get aways! Thank you Eva and your husband for everything and Gloria and I hope to see you again!

The place was simply amazing. Quiet, clean and beautiful. A nice pool and a beautiful big garden made the experience even better. Furthermore, Kostantinos was one of the most hospitable hosts I ‘ve ever had. Always responsive and helpful no matter the time. We would always come back and we recommend the place without any hesitation!

We had a fabulous holiday at Ioanna’s place. It is a family affair and they were such gracious hosts with a welcome meal as well as some sweet treats along the way. Thanks so much to lovely Despina who gave us many tips on eating out and shopping. The photos are a fair representation of the property and it is situated within easy driving distance of Agios Nikolaos and Elounda. The pool area is ideal for 4 people with comfortable sunbathing loungers. We ate out mostly in Elounda which is a lovely small town. The best meals we had were the fish dishes and local Cretan fayre. We visited Spinalonga after reading the book ‘the island’. Still worth it in spite of recent increases in costs. We preferred to go direct from Plaka on the ferry rather than take a tour where we would have been restricted to time. We also traveled into the hills to Kritsa where there are lovely jewellery and gift stores along the main thoughfare and Kritsa gorge is worth a visit. We take away special memories! X

Linda's daughter Sorcha greeted us from start to finish and was a fantastic host. Aside from the fact that the property was as advertised in every way, some of the best parts of our trip came from her recommendations. Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt, waren immer gut betreut und die Wohnung entsprachvoll unseren Erwartungen. Man muss wissen, dass in den Abendstunden auch das ein oder andere Flugzeug nach Heraklion fliegt. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist direkt vor Ort und zu Fuß in 2Minuten erreichbar. Ansonsten ist ohne Mietwagen ein schnelles Einkaufen oder Essen gehen mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nicht so einfach. Mit Auto alles kein Problem in fünf Minuten in großer Auswahl. Die Aussicht und die Wohnung sind sehr gut. Schwimmen vor Ort zu Fuß in fünf Minuten sehr gut möglich unterhalb der Wohnung. Diese war viel großzügiger als erwartet. Insgesamt kommen wir gerne wieder.

Flott leilighet med flott utsikt over hele Malia by. Beliggenhet privat og alene på fjellsiden over Malia, bør/må ha bil grunnet beliggenheten i fjellsiden. Veldig snill og imøtekommende vert som er lett tilgjengelig på telefon. Mange flotte restauranter i gamlebyen rett nedenfor fjellsiden. Vi har hatt noen fantastiske uker her.

Great communication from Anna who met us personally and provided helpful online guide. Stayed in apartment 10, whilst compact it was comfortable and had everything we needed and beautifully decorated. The location is up a hill with fabulous views from the terraces and pool area. Clean pool and warm enough to swim in mid May. Designated parking a short walk from the apartments. Lovely shaded garden terrace as well where we had breakfast enjoying the view and the cats! Highly recommend and would stay again

This is it - heaven on Earth! Only go here if you can accept this is the best of the best, you have reached perfection, nothing else will measure up. And at some point you will have to leave! Paras was the perfect host, so friendly, knowledgeable and generous. A very interesting and engaging individual. The property is utter perfection. It appears like an oasis, surrounded by lovely plants, trees etc. The whole place is of the highest standard. Even when the wind blew we arrived in the evening to find the leaves etc had been discreetly swept up and the grounds tidied. It has a perfect balance of shade and areas to catch some rays. We spent the mornings by the pool, afternoons at the beach a few minutes away then evenings in the local area having the finest food. The building is air conditioned and has shutters so we slept so well. We can't thank Paras enough for the best holiday ever.
