A cool sanctuary in the beating heart of Istanbul. Apartment in historic building with the Galata Tower in view at the end of the cobbled street. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants within easy walking distance and a traditional ice cream shop just next door. Apartment is newly and beautifully renovated and great to have a well equipped kitchen for any at home meals. Everything you might need is here. Alp is also a host that goes above and beyond. Truly. Highly recommend apartment and location. A perfect spot for long or short Istanbul city breaks. I’ll definitely book again.

Le logement de Reyhan a pleinement participé à rendre notre visite de la ville parfaite ! Idéalement situé dans le vieil Istanbul, nous avons pu faire des allers retours aisément entre les lieux de visite et lui, profiter des restaurants alentours (du très bon petit déjeuner juste au pied du logement à l apéritif dans la cour vegetalisee des Mansions un peu plus loin), ainsi qu’envisager la majorité de nos déplacements à pieds (jusqu’à la place Taksim en passant par le pont de Galata). Cosy, lumineux, très propre, bien équipé et spacieux, il nous a permis de trouver du repos quand nous en avions besoin. Et cerise sur le gâteau, la terrasse offre une des plus belles vues qui soit, avec, à égale distance, Sainte Sophie et la Mosquée bleue. À contempler sans modération du lever du soleil jusqu’à son coucher sans avoir à partager ce point de vue avec une foule. Bref, une adresse que nous recommanderons et certainement partagerons avec nos proches dans les mois à venir !

I have nothing but amazing things to say about the place, the location and the host! She was very friendly and very accommodating to our check in and out times. The location is great, less than a 5 minute walk to Galata tower. Thank you for such a great stay!

We just wrapped up an incredible 10-day stay at Sencer’s place on Rıfat Efendi Sk., and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the apartment felt like home: spotlessly clean, flooded with natural light, and perfectly equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nestled in the colorful streets of Balat, it was a breeze to explore the neighborhood’s historic sites, cafés, and hidden art spots. What truly set this experience apart was our host, Sencer. Not only was he warm, attentive, and always on hand to answer questions or make recommendations, but he also happens to be the genius behind Pizzarotti, our go-to pizza spot (we lost count after our eighth visit in ten days!). The wood-fired pies, fresh toppings, and friendly service made every meal memorable. And Rotti, Sencer’s sweet pup, greeted us with wagging tail and endless cuddles whenever we came home. If you’re looking for a seamless stay in Istanbul this is the place!

Прекрасное расположение. Вид на мраморное море. Отзывчивый хозяин, всегда на связи. Транспортная доступность достаточно хороша. На метро можно попасть в любую точку Стамбула. Спасибо уважаемый Orbay, что позволили нам остаться после времени выселения и дождаться самолета!!!

El hospedaje de Yavuz está ubicado en una zona maravillosa, la cual te permite tener cerca varios puntos turísticos de la ciudad, recomiendo el restaurante del tío de Yavuz, quien también nos ayudó mucho en nuestra estadía!. Es un apartamento equipado con todo lo que necesites, sin duda nos encantaría regresar para hospedarnos. Bella Ciudad y cultura.

Seyid really made us feel very very welcomed. The house was spotless and was kitted out with good equipment and amenities (pillows and mattresses!), just like how one would expect in her own home. It’s a bit small but Seyid made it work - he studied Fine Arts and it showed! One thing though - we arrived on a Sunday and there was live music booming from somewhere that stopped only at around 11pm. The rest of the weekday nights were super peaceful though! Highly recommend!

I loved this place a lot! The owner was always super friendly and nice, trying to help me with all the little issues that we had. But everything else was just amazing. The building is pretty old, so you might get some WiFi issues sometimes, but it’s super easy fixable, he will explain what you gotta do, just reach out to him. Thank you for having us! I will definitely get back there next time when I’m in Istanbul!

We've visited Istanbul 3nights, 6 people. We had a comfortable stay in the room. I recommend the room for visitors. Here are the notes for reference. Pros: Good location. Easy to access to Blue Mosque and Ayasofya. Good for family with small kids. There are 3 bedrooms with double or queen size. Good enough equipments. Kind and polite communication. Easy to access mini shop and restaurants. Cons: Bit noisy boiler in the living room.(It didn't bother me particularly, but I think some people might find it annoying.)

An absolutely amazing place to stay! Living room overlooks Galataport and we got to see quite a few large cruise ships. Loved all the resident kitties, one even had three kittens in the courtyard. Air conditioning is a godsend and the fan in the bedroom was perfect. Fair warning, it’s either up or down quite some stairs or a steep hill to get everywhere, but honestly we loved that. A great workout!

Der Aufenthalt bei Erkan war ein Erlebnis. Der Empfang war herzlich inkl. vollem Kühlschrank mit Getränken. Die Wohnung mit der Terrasse mit Sicht auf den Bosporus ist einfach atembraubend. Die Wohnung selber war schön eingerichtet, sehr sauber und geräumig! Die Lage war perfekt und war Gehdistanz zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Erkan hat sich stets um uns gesorgt und war immer gut und schnell erreichbar. Ich kann die Wohnung mehr als empfehlen und werde bei meinem nächsten Besuch auf jeden Fall nochmal diese Wohnung nehmen.

Host was sooooo lovely ! Property was bigger than we were expecting which was great bonus. Perfect location. Beautiful streets We had a plumbing issue which was rectified within the hour of advising the host. They are very quick to respond to any queries we had. I could not recommend rate this accommodation and the host any higher.

I highly recommend staying at Ugur’s place. From the time we booked, till the end of the stay Ugur was super responsive and helpful. The views are just drop dead gorgeous (floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Bosphorus). The neighborhood feels like you are living and staying like a local and has modern furnishings. Wifi is excellent. You have to be ready to handle stairs but if in reasonably good shape, they are not a problem. Just avoid if uneven stairs are an issue but Istanbul is hilly and any local neighborhood would mean stairs. The best thing is Ugur’s responsiveness: we needed coffee pods, a tap fixed, airport transfer: all was organized in a minute… and shout out to Mohamed who so kindly helped with luggage and many things!

Wir haben uns in der schönen Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt, der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns zum Check-in persönlich begrüßt. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Прекрасные апартаменты в тихом районе, где вокруг живут в основном местные. Выход окна во внутренний сад, в котором тихо. Близко к площади Таксим (5-10 минут пешком), в пешей доступности также есть 2-3 магазина, в которых можно найти все, что угодно (2-3 минуты пешком), также по дороге на площадь Таксим есть прекрасная Feridiye Kafe, в котором мы завтракали каждый день. Здесь вы можете как посидеть и покушать, также взять с собой. Хозяева были очень отзывчивы и помогали по всем вопросам, которые появлялись, низкий поклон им за это!

Leuke Airbnb, in een heel leuk stukje van beyoglu! Dicht bij het uitgaans gebied maar geen overlast van. Ook op loopafstand van galata en Sultanahmet. Het appartement is leuk ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Een keer lekker in de jacuzzi geweest na een drukke dag in de stad. Het rook een beetje vochtig bij binnenkomst maar daarna geen last meer van gehad. Zou hier zeker nog eens terug komen!

We had a fabulous time at Gulsen's place! The views of the Bosphorus and Istanbul skyline are incredible both on the rooftop and from the rooms. We spent a lot of time on the rooftop, watched beautiful sunsets as the call to prayer emenated across the city. It was magical. The Galata area is fabulous in itself and easy to reach other neighbourhoods - Sultanahmet, Eminonou, Kakikoy, Taksim. Our group had a wonderful stay and highly recommended Gulsen's place! The host was very responsive too which made arrangements and getting information very easy.

I had an unforgettable stay in the heart of Cihangir, in a peaceful and elegant location. This place is not just an accommodation but truly feels like a second home in Istanbul. Every detail has been meticulously considered: a spacious and comfortable living area, the pleasure of a home cinema experience on a large screen, a bright and quiet neighborhood… Even the bed, pillows, and dryer have been carefully chosen with comfort in mind. For those working remotely, this place is also an excellent choice! There is a dedicated workspace where you can comfortably take care of your business. Sara, made this experience even more special. With her warm hospitality, excellent recommendations about the city, and attention to every detail from check-in to even sharing the local grocery store’s number, she truly made me feel at home. If you are looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed home in Istanbul, this is definitely the right place! I will definitely be back!

I’ve been in many airbnbs and I have to say that Tao is one of the best for sure. His place is in a top notch location inside of Istanbul and his recommendations made our trip so much better.

This is an amazing place, located very near Taksim Square with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment is beautiful. It has big rooms and fully renovated bathrooms. There is also a big terrace and a well equipped kitchen. The host is very friendly and responsive. The instructions to check in are clear. I couldn’t find anything negative. Highly recommended.
