Apartment holiday rentals in Faja da Ovelha

We were in good hands in this beautiful apartment. Since private accommodation in a settlement can be done during the day, but as a tourist you are usually on the road anyway. The best equipped kitchen we have seen so far. You think of everything that you don't have to buy everything yourself for a week. Shop and restaurant also within walking distance. Good internet. Hope to see you again!

The view from the apartment is spectacular. The area is quiet. However, if you are sensitive to noise when sleeping, it is better to sleep with the window closed. So you don't hear the morning traffic, and neither do the dogs and the rooster in the distant neighborhood. Julie is very helpful and always quick to help when you need something. She had brought pastries and Madeira to welcome them. Please note that the terrace is not connected to the apartment. That is, you have to first get out of the house and then onto the terrace. I was able to park the car comfortably on the property. I will miss the view! I can highly recommend the apartment.

We loved our stay at Marta’s place! It was so charming, clean and comfortable. The view was absolutely magical. We saw so many rainbows. The mountain view was so peaceful and calming. Marta’ s place was pristine, comfortable and well stocked. We highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Sao Vicente. A perfect stay. Marta was very responsive, welcoming and friendly.

Very helpful hostess, quiet area away from busy Funchal. Amazing views, spacious apartment, super king size bed. Useful utility area with washing machine and drying area. Good cooking facilities. Enjoyed sitting on the balconies for breakfast and evening meals. Near bus stop and supermarket. We are fit 70yr olds so steep drive and stairs didn’t bother us.

Had a great 5 night stay in the apartment, could have happily stayed longer. It was just as shown/described and lived up to our expectations based on the reviews. The balcony was the perfect place to relax and the views were stunning at night. We could get to everything we wanted in around 10-15 minutes walk. Would happily book again. Thanks for a great stay

Starting with the view from the window to the Atlantic, to the tranquility that we could find in the apartment - far away from tourism, to the stroll, down many steps, on the promenade, we felt very comfortable in Porto Moniz. Whether coffee or snack bar and restaurant, you could eat well everywhere. Many excursion possibilities and especially hikes are easily accessible. We have found our favorite places, whether culinary or in nature. We would book our apartment again immediately.

The place is spectacular. It's a miradouro (viewpoint) in itself. The host is very responsive and we benefited from the presence of Gabriel who is an excellent promoter of the region with highly appreciated local recommendations. The apartment is clean and the bed is comfortable. Lots of little touches to help us feel comfortable (beach towels, blankets for the cooler evenings). The pool and the surrounding nature are a valuable complement to a visit to the island of Madeira. I highly recommend it.

Thank you Kevin for a lovely stay in Madeira! We loved being able to watch the sunset from the balcony and listen to the sound of waves as we fell asleep. The location of this apartment is perfect - a short walk to a few spots along the coast for dinner or drinks and an easy drive to many gorgeous beaches and hikes on the island! Great option if you are wanting to get out of the busier Funchal area. We will be recommending this spot to anyone we know who is traveling to Madeira! Kevin was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, including setting us up with an easy rental car service!

We had a great stay at this place! It was nice and clean, with everything well taken care of and comfortable. The view was absolutely stunning – a real highlight of our trip. It’s a perfect starting point for hikes, with beautiful trails just a short drive away. That said, you definitely need a car to get around, as the area is quite remote. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and a great base to explore from, this is a fantastic choice.

We spent three nights in Lani and Ci's apartment. Both are wonderful hosts and explained everything to us personally at check-in, their commitment is exceptional. The apartment has a beautiful sea view, is centrally located in Seixal and the big plus is the private parking on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Filipa was a great host and this is one of the best AirBnb’s we have stayed in. Great location, only a short walk into town and the area is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and a park just over the road. Great space with lots of attention to detail and very clean. We loved Funchal and will definitely be booking this accommodation again when we return. Thank you for such a great stay.

Overall, the three of us friends had a nice time staying at this rental. The location is great; you can hear the ocean while sleeping. On the flip side, you can also hear people in the cafe next door or on the beach at night. We were able to find parking nearby every night without an issue. The host was very responsive and met us upon arrival. Unfortunately, they had some sort of mix-up with the cleaning, and we couldn't fully check in until about 9 PM, which was disappointing given that we were tired from traveling. Cleanliness was 4/5; we're not sure if it's always like this or if it was due to rush cleaning in our case. The apartment had a very strong cleaning chemical smell that took us several days to air out. I know Madeira is safe, but please note that some windows in the living room cannot be locked due to broken locks, so you must be comfortable with that at night and when you're leaving for the day.

The apartment is nice and clean , lots of restaurants there parking paid on street. Close to Funchal easy if you have car on hire

Anas View was fabulous. Its got a beautiful terrace/ veranda that i sat on every morning and evening. It was immaculate and comfortable. I drove to hikes daily and came home to a kitchen with everything i needed to prepare dinner. The hosts were responsive when an appliance was not working. Ill be back. ❤️

Claudia is a very accommodating host. She is very helpful and friendly. The apartment is as described and has everything it needs and a nice outdoor area. I personally was a bit cold as the May weather didn't quite do what it should, but a portable fan heater and a thick woolen blanket that was also on site did the trick. The apartment is not super soundproof which means that you sometimes here the other guests, which didn't bother me personally. As already described in other reviews, the entrance to the parking lot is very steep, but really doable and no worse than other roads on the island. I had a good time and can recommend it with a clear conscience. :)

Everything was great! Communication went smoothly. The location is ideal. From there you can get all over well and there is a shopping center with supermarket directly across the street. Thanks !

We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

It was a very nice apartment with a lovely terass and outside kitchen facilities. We were out and about during these days and didn't get to use the BBQ or the jacuzzi, and would recommend to stay here longer than two nights to make use of it all. To be clear, it is part of a family house but you barley notice them living next doors. An easy parking spot is included as well.

Loved our stay at Leonardo’s place. Beautiful view from the apartment and the infinity pool. Peaceful area, with good security - always felt very safe. Leonardo was very responsive and had good communication throughout. We initially struggled to get in due to the lockbox being stuck, but this was quickly resolved within 10 mins. The apartment was very clean and our needs were met. The bathroom was clean and water pressure was great. The only thing we noted was that the apartment is right next to a nursery which could get noisy during the day, but it is manageable especially as we would usually be outside during those hours. Overall an amazing stay and would recommend to others.

Nice apartment to stay for a long holiday with beautiful views of Praira Formosa. Infinity pool, ample space, well equipped kitchen and washing machine. Free parking in the apartment's garage. The location was perfect being just outside of Funchal with easy access to ER 101. The apartment sits up on the hill with a short walk to the promenade; you can walk either towards Camara de Lobos or Funchal. Lots of restaurants on the promenade and on Estrada Monumental. There is a supermarket (Continente) just 2-3 blocks down the street from the apartment. The local host met us at the apartment to show us around. The apartment was clean and comfortable coming home after a day of hiking (purchase trail tickets 3E on Simplifica for all the PR# trails). A car is a must if you are going to hike and see Maderia. No Jacuzzi and gym is old and poorly equipped.

If I could, I would give to this accomodation and Patricia way more stars :) The flat is perfect. Great location, ocean view, everything was clean, nice and neat. Also those little, but big, details - dimmable light, extra fluffy blanket (not going to spoil more:) Watching stars while in jacuzzi.. Just awesome :) And Patricia is amazing host. Always quick answer, helpful, proactive, friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and I will definitely book this place again, if we ever come back :)

Cristina was a wonderful host, always available with helpful tips and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and tidy, furnished, arranged and equipped in the best of taste. Stunning view, very quiet, even if very near to the expressway, and because of that perfect located to get everywhere easy and quick. Restaurants of all kind available within short driving time. Overall - very advisable!
