Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Faido

Louise was so sweet and her home is a little gem with the BEST bathtub EVER in the bedroom. Such a cool place and very roomie for a couple. Beautiful decor! Love the interior design touches mixing the old stone with more modern elements. The only negative was finding parking. Luckily we found a little spot all the way down the hill in front of the school….but this is Lake Como so we’re used to hiking up the hill!:) Just an FYI for anyone with mobility issues. We loved our stay and especially loved our meals out on the deck and also enjoyed Villa Lario built into the cliff just below. Fun experience:) We’d love to return sometime!

Monica and Luciano are wonderfull hosts. First of all their house is located at a top position with a unique view on the lago and inside the house you experience the atmosphere of a nice environment in any detail and in any aspect. You breath the Italian hospitality. Monica and Luciano treated us in a fantastisc way and they provided is with so much enthousiastic information to make our stay “indimenticabile”. We will never forget the Centovalli experience. Grazie mille e a la prossima volta……

Absolutely rustic and beautiful in every way. Off the beaten path but perfect for the views, quiet, and seclusion. We will never for get this stay and all of the valleys we explored while we were there.

The little house is a five star property with clean and comfortable furniture, amazing garden and breath taking lake views. We had all the amenities we needed for the entire stay and kathi have been very helpful. If you book this property, prepare to have an amazing private space but prepare to walk down some stairs to reach the little house.

The apartment is very traditional in an old stone house, located in the beautiful Verzasca Valley. The location is the ideal vantage point to explore the valley with its beautiful nature, but also Locarno and Ascona. Please note: the place is on a reservoir, you can't swim there! There are also no supermarkets, bakeries, etc. in the valley, so it is best to do your shopping in advance. The apartment itself is very clean, the kitchen fully equipped, the location very quiet. We were there as a family with 2 children and felt very comfortable. (There are steep stairs in the house, not suitable for very small children). Overall highly recommended!

This home is in an outstanding location overlooking the lake and Lugano. We were blown away by the view from every window. The location was very peaceful, and the home was extremely well-stocked. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony or the covered deck every day (depending on how hot it was!). The home is located a quick drive to downtown Lugano, and a short drive to the top of Monte Bre (highly recommend!) and to Gandria (also highly recommend). We fell in love with Lugano and the surrounding area thanks in part to this house…we will definitely be back.

The place was just perfect! Such a warm welcome, with many ideas for the place and the surroundings, a wonderfully equipped apartment in a perfect location. It was fantastic. We had the pleasure of spending a few unforgettable days at Katie’s beautiful apartment in Ronco sopra Ascona. The view is absolutely breathtaking – Lake Maggiore stretches out at your feet, with Ascona and the Brissago Island in full view, framed by the surrounding mountains. The long hours of sunshine on the spacious terrace were a true highlight. The apartment is nice furnished, very well maintained, and offers plenty of space with its three bedrooms – ideal for families or small groups. Everything was clean and perfectly prepared – you can tell Katie is a thoughtful and caring host. The location is peaceful, yet just a short drive from Ascona and the lake. The combination of privacy, stunning views, and comfort makes this place a real gem. We’d love to come back – thank you, Katie!

Stefano has been a great host. He was always available to help me and offer suggestions. His apartment is very nice, well equipped and in a very attactive, historical secion of Ascona. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Thanks Stefano!

The apartment was spacious with amazing views, and very close to the train station and a grocery store. The beds were comfortable and it was great to have a washing machine. It's not a very quiet location, though: the street in front of the building has a lot of loud truck and motorcycle traffic, and one night there were people outside the building shouting and laughing from midnight until 3AM.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! The views are out of this world and the place is spacious, beautiful, and quiet. I will most definitely be coming back. 100% I would highly recommend staying here if you are going to Lake Como. Renting a car is advised, we rented one in Milan and drove.

Incredible views, wonderful house, and great hosts. We already had a very pleasant exchange with Andreas before our departure. The place itself is beautiful, small, mountainous and from the house at the top of the rock, you have a perfect view of the lake. The apartment was clean, the garden very well maintained. At the beginning, the house was a little hard to find because of course you can't drive by car, but due to Andreas' pictures and descriptions, that was also feasible. Very, very happy to come back!

We cannot say enough good things about La Vacanza!! The location is excellent, the space is very clean and comfortable. The co-host Elisabetta was an excellent host with great recommendations for local things to do. It was an amazing experience!! So glad we chose it!!!!

Super charming home with absolutely stunning views of Lake Como better seen in person. The amenities were wonderful and the hosts were so very friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here! Also, be sure to book any transportation ahead of time.

Best way to describe this location is STUNNING! The views are breath taking - more beautiful in person than the photos! We loved our stay - hard to beat having morning coffee & evening wine surrounded by such beauty! The night view when the lights appear is as beautiful as the day view! A car was necessary but well worth it. David was a very responsive and helpful host & we would definitely stay again if we have that opportunity!

Alessia was a wonderful and responsive host. She met us at check in and was very flexible with our arrival time. She helped us to get settled and immediately offered us some lunch recommendations and even helped us set up a boat tour to go on during our trip. Definitely ask her about this! The space was spotless and exactly as pictured. Parking was easy and free. One thing to note is that you should be prepared for the steep hill you need to climb to get back to the apartment! Do not underestimate it! But overall this was a lovely stay with an amazing host with GORGEOUS lake views and a huge balcony.

beautiful location. i prefer varnessa to belagio. flat is just the right size for a couple. if there's anything I want to mention is that it's in a much higher location than I expected. one would definitely need a car for more frequent visit to the town below. the host is so friendly and always available and responsive.

The studio I was in had everything you needed, it was very clean and tidy, the bathroom was also very clean . A nicely decorated studio. Katrin is very sweet and has great tips for hiking in the area. had a great stay despite rainy weather. highly recommended.

We enjoyed our 4 days very much! Very nice, clean and well equipped appartment, 10min walk to the lake, lake views, several supermarkets around the corner. Highly recommended! :-)

The place was beautiful, unique, on Lake Como with direct access to the lake. I think it’s the perfect place to relax, sunbath and enjoy the lake. Beautiful table to eat outside. It was also super clean ! We knew there would be stairs, it might have been a little bit more than we expected (80)! But the owner was really nice and offered to help us as I do not travel light ! Highly recommend renting a small car/Vespa as public transport are not reliable and the only Ubers available are the black uber which are more expensive. We had a série 4 bmw to give you an idea, I would say that if your car is much wider than that it will be a little tight to go down the driveway, but doable. The parking itself is huge. There is a portable A/C, we went in June and didn’t need it as the breeze from the lake was enough to keep us cool at night. Owner was also nice enough to let us do part of our wedding photoshoot at her beautiful Villa ! Unique experience, we really loved it !
