Excellent location, secluded and quiet in beautiful surroundings in the Vosges. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and always available by phone. Thank you for the hospitality - we were able to unwind and enjoy nature!

We had a relaxing week long stay here and absolutely loved it. The hut is kitted out with everything we needed, and for those used to hit stays it is perfect. The bed is comfortable and therrs plenty of space. We were treated to amazing dawn & dusk choruses, as well as seeing various wildlife from the hut including hares, pheasants, chiff chaff & even house martins. The hosts are warm and friendly, and the cake on arrival was delicious! We're already looking forward to another visit!

Just like at home or almost at home. We felt like we were arriving at family's place. Chantal was there when we arrived despite the rain and gave us a lot of tips and things to do in the area as friends would. In a quiet and sublime setting, surrounded by beautiful Corsican mountains, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We had the best 2 night stay in the Shepards hut ! From being surrounded by the absolutely stunning gardens, meeting the wild ducks and peahen 🦚 🦆 to exploring the absolutely stunning coastline and the Galloway forest park it really had everything we could have asked for and more. Our Hosts were absolutely lovely and did everything to make sure we had an epic stay. We loved having the gardens to ourselves it felt like we’d walked into another world. The bed was super comfy and the hut had everything we needed for our stay ! It was so cozy and clean and we will definitely come back in the near future ! It’s located perfectly as well with the tearoom on site and only being a 15 minute drive from Stranraer and 13 minute drive away from the Kitchen Coos and Ewes which we highly recommend doing whilst in the area if you want to get up close and cuddle and groom highlands cows. We loved our stay in the shepherd's hut. We wanted a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and it was exactly that. We were rained in for one day but it ended up being our favourite experience- the hut is so cosy, everything you need is to hand, and we could sit and watch the scenery for hours. On the sunnier days there is a short walk to the coast path and the views of the coastline. The toilet and shower is the perfect set up, we also loved the outside bath and the wood stove.

Lucy's retreat was a beautiful place to stay, the perfect couples getaway. She left local reccomendations, great directions, a birthday banner and even some treats for us, such thoughtful touches. Everything was perfect and spotless, great place to take our dog to. I couldn't reccomend this place enough thanks so much for a lovely getaway *****

Thank you for a wonderful stay. So calm and peaceful and just what we needed to relax! We bought our dog who loved roaming around the enclosed garden. Beautiful well equipped cabin and hot tub.

I had a wonderful stay at the peerie neuk. Melanie has carefully created a very special place to stay. The hut is clean and cosy with privacy and a stunning setting. I was on a bike and the location made it easy to access all I had hoped to enjoy in Unst. Helpful and practical, Melanie was also lovely to talk to. I'll be booking again. Thank you Melanie!

We had a perfect few days staying in Flossy’s hut. The views are absolutely stunning and Cate had made sure every little detail was thought of including beautiful flowers and a welcome hamper. She even went the extra mile, leaving a birthday balloon and banner in the hut for our arrival. Safe to say I’ve won big sister points and my little sister has had the birthday of a lifetime. Cannot recommend this place enough :)

We had such a wonderful stay for my partners birthday, Clive went the extra mile to make us feel welcome by putting up some birthday decorations and leaving us some treats for when we arrived. It's a perfect place to get away and unwind in nature, we were always surrounded by animals whether it was Norman the cat visiting during a bbq, hanging out with the goats, or watching the ducks drift about in the stream while relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you very much to Clive and Nikki for hosting us. I cannot recommend Kingfisher enough, we truly had an amazing time :)

Mike's place was an absolute dream for our pre-baby, relaxing getaway with our Whippet! It completely exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, right on the SW coast path yet feeling wonderfully secluded, while still being just a quick 5-minute drive to Lyme Regis. Although the listing mentioned the garden wasn't fully secure, we found it to be very secure for our Whippet which was an added bonus. There are also several gates to pass through on the way from the parking area, adding to the security. Our dog lovedddd running about with a frisbee and then sunbathing ha! We honestly loved the property so much (especially the pool!) that we barely left, only venturing out for morning coffee and breakfast. Mike's recommendations were spot on – Poco Pizza was fantastic for takeaway, and communication was excellent throughout. We'll be hard-pressed to find another Airbnb that compares and look forward to coming back with our baby. Thank you!

Perfect quiet getaway with our 3 month old baby. Did get very hot due to heatwave, but lots of windows that can be opened and through draught. Amazing location, good kitchen, 2 hobs, fridge with freezer box section, good set of kitchenware. Bathroom, lovely shower and toiletries. All round perfect for our getway

Wow - what a magical place to stay. Daniel has created a beautiful get-away, and so close to the beach. We were amazed at the craft that has gone into making the shephard's hut, hot tub and sauna, and the garden room! Hot tub: We enjoyed our prosecco in the hot tub which was great. The tub has colour changing lights and got nice and hot. It was quite dark and stormy when we went in which only added to the experience! We just kept saying "wow." Lovely white towel robes too. Sauna: Sauna was fab and heated up very quickly. Cold shower close by to cool down with. Garden room: lovely little chill out area. Little hang drum, a guitar (bottom string missing), ukulele and a cool darts board which was great fun (dart plastic a bit worn) but nonetheless great fun. Shephards hut: very cosy, comfy bed and great nights sleep. Bathroom clean and great smelling soap. Area: relaxed, and local JJ's chippy was excellent and had great food at Paul Jones restaurant. Lots of shells on the beach

Very beautiful peaceful area, Nic's place was clean and cosy, had everything you need, it was private but there was another hut just next to us which surprised us. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and beautiful views, I recommend this to anyone who wants to relax and escape city noises.

Would highly recommend Linda’s shepherds hut - it’s absolutely perfect for a singly or couple! Linda is so friendly and the surroundings are beautiful and secluded. Crumble (my springer) and I had a fab time and I am very grateful to Gloria (the incredible turkey) for the training of the span!

The Shepard's hut is compact but has everything you need. We didn't use the stove because we were warm enough without it. The views are tremendous and there is an enjoyable walk through the lodge grounds to the pier. Getting picked up from the pier and having our luggage taken back was fantastic. It was a bit exciting for someone who is not keen on cows to go to the loo and find cows blocking the way. However they are calm cows and are moved away easily (they were moved to the hill for summer grazing while we were there). All in all we had a great time.

I booked The Haystore for my partner’s birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was going to be something really special. It was unlike anywhere we’d stayed before—unique, peaceful, and full of charm. The private hot tub was a definite highlight—perfectly placed with stunning views that made us feel like we were in our own little world. The attention to detail from the hosts was incredible. They left us a bottle of Prosecco and some homemade gin, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. They even provided everything we needed to get the fire going, which added to the cosy, romantic vibe. If you're looking for a relaxing escape with beautiful surroundings and a few luxury touches, this place ticks every box!

We had a lovely couple of days staying at The Hut. It was exactly as described and we loved having a barbecue sitting on the terrace listening to the amazing birdsong (my app picked up 25 different birds) and watching the sun go down and the moon come up over the trees. The Hut is not overlooked at all. It was a really relaxing short break and thoroughly recommended. Thank you Kate and Tom.

Amazing views! Such a beautiful place, it’s a funny experience to travel by golf buggy up to the sheltered huts. The huts are perfect with everything you need to have an amazing time. Host was very quick to answer any questions, the restaurant at the bottom of the hill is also very nice.

Loved our stay here the last few days, it was very clean and loved having the animals close to watch throughout the day, the hot tub was lovely at night with the lights inside and outdoor lighting. very peaceful and relaxing. would’ve definitely loved to check in earlier and checkout later. would 100% stay here again already looking at upcoming dates. Am obsessed with cows so was so excited to see them in the fields near by they’re so friendly.

This place is an absolute gem, and we’re already planning future trips here. Stunning setting with a beautiful swimming pond that we used every morning. The facilities were so good that we could have easily spent a day just in the Airbnb. The caravan was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped. Susanna and Hugh were brilliant hosts, who were always on hand and responsible when we needed them, but also respected our privacy. They also thought very carefully about local recommendations.

Me & my partner (and the dog!) had a wonderful stay celebrating his Birthday weekend in the Shepherds Hut. Even though temperamental weather, it was perfectly set up! The hammocks and the hot tub were a particular highlight - as well as just enjoying a weekend escape to the peaceful country surroundings. Thank you to Allison for being a fantastic host!
