Alex is a true Scottish Gentleman, and a very gentle and well-read soul at that. Nestled in a small piece of highlands heaven, Alex's farm is tranquil (though there's a spot of logging over yonder in 2025) and the a-frame house matched Magnus's description and caveats. I could have spent a lot more time talking to the erudite Alex over a cup of tea, but he had sheepdogs to train! A wonderful stay indeed.

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse! Det här var utan tvekan det bästa värdparet vi någonsin haft – otroligt vänliga, generösa och sociala. De fick oss att känna oss som hemma direkt och serverade magiska måltider till både frukost och middag – 100 % ekologiska och från deras egen gård! Omeletten på morgonen var gjord med ägg från deras egna höns, och allt smakade fantastiskt. Boendet ligger dessutom otroligt vackert, mitt i idyllisk natur. Det var en fröjd att få leva så nära lugnet och det naturliga. Vi kan varmt rekommendera detta ställe till alla som söker en genuin och minnesvärd upplevelse.

Wir und unser Hund haben uns von Sekunde 1 super wohlgefühlt. Mit einem Wein aus dem Eigenen Weinanbau wurden wir begrüsst und haben den Wein auf der wunderbaren Terrasse verkostet :) Alles ist unfassbar schön eingerichtet und gepflegt und die Küche hatte alles was wir brauchten inkl. lecker Kaffee am Morgen ☕️ Parken direkt am Haus war für uns ein grosses Plus. Tracey hat uns noch ganz tolle Tips gegeben für ein Weingut und ein Restaurant für Trüffelpasta 😍. Sie war immer erreichbar und hat super schnell geantwortet. Wir kommen gerne wieder ! Danke Tracey

Der Aufenthalt bei Patricia hat uns ausserordentlich gut gefallen. Wir werden auf alle Fälle das Thinkersinn nächstes Jahr wieder buchen. Auch Competa ist ein sehr schönes und charmantes weisses Dorf in den Bergen, mit sehr guten Restaurants und Bars. Wolfgang & Theres (Schweiz)

Wir hatten wunderbare, entspannte und sehr erholsame Tage in diesem wunderbaren Ferienhaus. Die Realität übertrifft noch die Beschreibung und die Bilder. In den Tagen unseres Aufenthalts hat es leider sehr viel geregnet aber dem Regen über dem Fjord vom Wohnzimmer aus zu zuschauen war wirklich sehr entspannend. Das Ferienhaus lässt keine Wünsche offen und hält alles für einen tollen Urlaub bereit. Die Lage und die Aussicht auf den Fjord ist einfach traumhaft, fantastisch und wunderschön. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Das Holzferienhäuschen liegt idyllisch an an einem bewachsenen Steilhang über dem Meer. Es gibt unweit davon einige Nachbarn, die man auch hört. Da aber nicht gemäht wurde und das Gras sehr hoch stand, fühlte man sich trotzdem zumeist allein mitten in einer großen Wiese. Eingerichtet war das kleine Holzhaus mit allem, was wir brauchten. Eigentlich mögen wir den Shabby-Stil nicht. Aber die Gegenstände waren nicht künstlich auf alt gemacht sondern wirklich alt und gezielt ausgesucht. Das hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

If you want to stay in paradise & truly want to experience what the Douro valley is all about, stay here. If you’re a bad driver, don’t come- roads are tiny and curving. A little hard to find the place - look for the church after the ship monument - it’s def worth the effort! What an amazing view right out of our rooms, living room and terrace. welcoming and accepting attitude and chill vibe. Favorite place on our trip throughout Portugal!

The place is amazing!!!! It’s a paradise in Tuscany. Luigi and Roberta thought about everything that we’ll make you feel like home. The place is even better than the pictures. They recommend us a restaurant in a nearby village that we absolutely loved. This is a must go place if you want to escape from the crowd of all the cities. I will definitely recommend it !

Fabulous stay - great cabin and very peaceful

We had a lovely stay in the hut! It was the perfect place for us to stay for the two days that we were exploring Isle of Skye. It was located near hikes that we were doing and had the right amount of space for the two of us to make some easy dinners and enjoy some down time. Great view from the deck and loved seeing the sheep graze! Highly recommend if you are looking for a cozy, low key lodging experience.

Wir haben eine Woche im Bungalow verbracht und vor allem die Ruhe und Privatsphäre genossen. Keine nervigen Nachbarn, absolute Ruhe. Ein besonderes Highlight waren ganz klar die Pferde, die sich sehr über Streicheleinheiten gefreut haben. Trotz der eher abgeschiedenen Lage war man in 45 Minuten in Porto und konnte die Stadt erkunden. In der Nähe waren mehrere Supermärkte, die auch viele glutenfreie Produkte anbieten. Jorge war super freundlich und zuvorkommend und hat sich immer wieder erkundigt, ob alles in Ordnung ist oder wir etwas brauchen. Zur Begrüßung gab es sogar selbstgemachten Limoncello aus Zitronen von der Farm.

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft! Die Aussicht ist unglaublich schön und wir konnten die Ruhe in den Bergen sehr genießen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Katja ist eine sehr herzliche und gastfreundliche Gastgeberin. Wir waren zum Wandern in der Region und hatten ein tolles verlängertes Wochenende in der Hütte und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

We absolutely loved our stay at Carol's place. The views were even more stunning than expected and the annexe itself is very cosy, comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need (board games, local maps, blankets etc)

Eva und Martin waren sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten uns jederzeit bei Fragen bei ihnen melden. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und unglaublich schön. Die Lage war spektakulär. Man hatte viel Privatsphäre und seine Ruhe. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und das Haus sowie die Gastgeber sind nur weiterzuempfehlen. 10/10

Nous avons passés un superbe séjour dans le logement de Maël. Tout était parfait : l'accueil très agréable, les services sur place et les petites attentions (devenues très rares), le calme et le charme de la maison mais aussi la réactivité des échanges. Tout juste rentrés, que nous avons déjà recommandés la maison à nos amis. Au plaisir de revenir !

Debora et Andrew sont des hôtes chaleureux et accueillants. Le logement est impeccable et on s’y sent bien!

Agriculture and Architecture mix. Living on the farm. Hike the property to historical Viking battle site. Golden hour sunset from property was amazing. The boathouse is a special and unique salute to Norway. 🇳🇴 Hope to return and stay longer next time. 🤞

Great place for a few days stopover. Comfortable and clean, convenient common spaces and garden terraces for eating and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and Petra was helpful and caring.

Michaels place was absolutely incredible.. the house, the views and everything in between! We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to stay. Kerry was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Michael was very responsive and gave us recommendations to do. My kids enjoyed playing outside all day. Also, loved all the big windows in the house and having a fantastic view from each one! Would love to come back and stay again one day! Thank you again for the lovely stay!

Nikos und Anna sind sehr nette Gastgeber. Das Baumhaus ist Traumhaft. Nur für die jenigen, die eine ruhige Lage und Zweisamkeit suchen. Wir hatten es 2 Tage zwischen unseren Hotel Aufenthalten gebucht und war eine perfekte Mischung. Wir waren seeeehr zufrieden und würden es weiterempfehlen. Lg Nici & Toni

Foulis Castle is absolutely amazing. We wanted to stay in a castle in Scotland and this didn’t disappoint. We wished we could have stayed longer. We stayed in 3 different places over a week in Scotland and this was our favorite. The castle is so private and peaceful, but close to Loch Ness, Inverness, Culloden and Cawdor Castle. We stayed in The Pavilion and it was so cozy and felt like home. We did laundry and sat outside on the swing set during sundown. The beds are comfortable and the towel warmer in the bathroom actually works. Ohma was super helpful with local attractions and any questions we had. We ate breakfast right down the street at Highland Farm Cafe and it was the best breakfast ever. 10/10

We had the most magical time at Laias home in Ulla. Just amazing, beautiful space set in lush beautiful gardens. Stunning surroung villages and coast line. Laia was the best host ever. We will definitely be back!
