Cottage holiday rentals in Europe

We had a blissful time at the granary and would definitely recommend this place to others. It’s a beautiful building but the grounds of Coes Farm and the added bonus of having a pool (which if you are lucky is essentially a private pool all to yourself as it was always empty when we went in) make it an amazing place to unwind and rest. The property had everything we needed, including some little ducks who came to the back door to welcome us! We would also recommend a trip to Canterbury while you are here, it is a beautiful place to visit.

Lovely quirky cottage with plenty of space. Nice toiletries and welcome touches for both humans and dogs alike! Great walking for dogs direct from the door, just bring long lines if you are concerned about your dogs with sheep or deer as they are all around. One thing to note is that whilst one side of the garden is fenced the other isn’t, there is a low wall, a little jump down and you’re onto the wild hillside! Fine if you have very obedient dogs that don’t wander or hunt, not secure if you don’t.

We absolutely loved our stay – the amenities were top-notch and the decoration throughout the space was beautiful and thoughtfully curated. Kate was incredibly responsive to any messages and went above and beyond with lots of lovely personal touches that made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend booking the wellness concierge experience – it added such a special, relaxing element to our trip. Also, don’t miss a visit to The Pig at Harlyn Bay – the food and atmosphere were amazing. Would definitely stay again – thank you, Kate!

Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an unglaublich wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist total idyllisch und einfach perfekt, um mal runterzukommen. Der Blick aufs Wasser, besonders am Morgen, aber eigentlich den ganzen Tag über, war immer wieder schön. Perfekt zum Abschalten und Durchatmen. Der kleine Bootsausflug war ein echtes Highlight, genau wie der Whirpool und die Sauna, gerade bei dem regnerischen Wetter. Fast wie ein kleiner Spa-Wellness-Tag. Auch der Wintergarten war total gemütlich. Wir haben dort viel gespielt und einfach entspannt. Alles ist liebevoll gestaltet, durchdacht und sehr gepflegt. Fredrik und Patrik sind tolle Gastgeber, sie haben immer schnell reagiert, waren super hilfsbereit und herzlich. Wir haben uns rundum gut aufgehoben gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder. I think this might be the best air b&b we’ve ever stayed in! So peaceful & beautiful. All the amenities you would need. We were in search of a peaceful get away with lots of great scenery, and suitable to bring our 1 year old. It hit the brief perfectly and more. It’s even better than the pictures. Thanks for a great stay, looking forward to coming again.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Feels like home and the location absolutely can’t be beat. Would recommend this to anyone for a stay in this beautiful region of Germany.

We had high expectations from poring over photos and reviews of Banc-yr-Eithin prior to our stay and it somehow managed to exceed them. The cottage and grounds are breathtakingly beautiful and the facilities are incredible, you want for nothing during your stay here. Highlights include watching the birds at the feeders, the treehouse, the underfloor heating in the bathroom, the sauna, the games room in the barn, waking to the sound of birdsong, I could go on! Sussanah and Hugh are the perfect hosts, they were incredibly helpful both prior to and during our stay. We were staying with a relative with health issues and limited mobility and they were extremely helpful in ensuring that he was comfortably accommodated. They dealt with this issue with compassion, discretion and kindness. We were incredibly grateful to get to sample Hugh's cinnamon buns and they did not disappoint! They were delicious and much appreciated. Thank you for an incredible stay, we can't wait to return soon!

Beautiful place! We had the most amazing few days. The house is on 2 floors, beautiful clean bedroom on the ground floor with a fantastic on suite, large shower and bath. You can bathe with a view. Upstairs is a well equipped kitchen with plenty of equipment, a cafetière for coffee whilst sitting on the comfy sofa which looks out across the countryside and you can see the sea. Tranquil place, fantastic for relaxing and exploring.

Der Ort ist Magisch und wir können die Unterkuft jeden mit geschlossenen Augen empfehlen. Wenn Du abschalten und jedentag mit einem gradiosen Frühstück in den Tag starten möchtest - überlege nicht länger. ⛰️

The house was beautiful and exactly how it looked in the pictures. The view is so fabulous, changing with the tides and daylight. Great garden area as well for my doggy. The town itself is very quiet with only a shop and a chip van - which is currently closed on weekends. We were able to pivot and cook a decent meal in the house though instead, then go to a nearby town the next evening for food. Really chilled place to stay as a base for seeing around the rest of the area. And always a bonus when you can bring your four-legged friends 👍🐾

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay at Ardormie farm cottage. The views are amazing and the cottage itself is lovely. Everything was perfect and comfortable. we really enjoyed being surrounded by sheep and on occasion wild red dear and birds of prey. the bed was very comfortable and the whole house was quiet and peacefull. would happily recommend Ardormie and would gladly stay here again.

We had a great stay, Mark was friendly and we enjoyed the goodies made by Kate. We also enjoyed the pigs, ducks, and chickens on the property. The accommodation is as pictured and is clean. The location was ideal as we were able to walk to the pubs in Aberlour (40min), drive to some seaside towns, and stop off in the Caringorms on our was back home.

A lovely, secluded spot to base yourself for relaxing and exploring the surrounding Cotswolds. Highly recommended

It’s difficult to say just a few words! Here’s the list: It’s a privilege to stay in this unique place, built with care for guests AND for the earth! A warm welcome, easy to find. The view is outstanding Great wee kitchen, bathroom, sitting room. The shower is lovely. A welcome blackcurrant cake slice! Lots of food basics provided. Private and warm and quiet - except for the birds singing Walk to the Pub in 20 minutes- it IS hilly - but good food and beer Really nice Wild swimming in the harbour at the pub. Nicola provides 3 big towels to cosy into afterwards! Only 35 minutes to Lochalsh, about 50 to Glen Elg wee ferry, 35 to Broadford. If you are older, the access is steep for cases etc. Take your time, and it’s fine! If we come back to Skye, we WILL come back to Nicola❤️

We enjoyed our stay at the Bothy Cottage. It's located in a peaceful village where the majority of what you will hear is bird song. We appreciated the garden which gave the cottage a very secluded feeling. Everything was as described and we're glad we booked our stay in Dorset here. We especially appreciated all the detailed instructions, history of the cottage and the welcome note and bubbly waiting for us when we arrived. Would recommend!

Jane's cottage was beautifully located in a private spot, surrounded by gardens and fields. The cottage is very quaint and very well appointed with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed walking around the gardens, field, stream and weir and spotted a lot of wildlife en route. We couldn't have asked for more.

Encore merci pour ce séjour dans un cadre idéal, au beau milieu des vignes ! Le logement est très agréable, un peu sombre, mais du coup bien frais pour les journées de grosses chaleurs ! L'équipement est au-delà de ce qu'on pourrait attendre, et les conseils d'Olivier sont très bons pour découvrir la région. Olivier et Hiroko sont des hôtes très prévenants, c'est un plaisir. En partant nous n'avons eu qu'une hâte : revenir !

This was by far the best place we stayed on our two week trip through England. If you are looking for a quintessential Cotswold experience this is the place for you! Catherine was friendly and greeted us on arrival as I was looking up my emailed instructions for checkin. We easily parked for free on the street in front of the home, which is the Main Street in Stow in the Wold. Then you open the door, go though a little tunnel and it opens up to a beautiful secret garden like cottage. The vacation cottage is around back through a gated area with total privacy and stunning gardens with surreal birdsong throughout your stay. The accommodations were just as pictured with a full kitchen, table, family sitting area and the bedrooms upstairs. Having 2 baths was great for our family of 4. Beds were comfy and all the linens, window coverings, etc were high quality. Extra blankets were there for chilly nights. Very clean and well kept. Would have loved to stay longer! Highly recommend!

We had a great time in Carlos' place. very well located in the little village Nijar. From there you are quickly everywhere. The place itself is very cute. nice terrace ( although too hot for us). Carlos is a great host and responds super fast. We had a small hickup with the aircon, which was fixed weithin minutes.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Catherine’s cottage. The interior deco matched the exterior terrace cottage. Very comfortable indeed. The cottage patio was a delight for morning coffee. The garden walk to see the chickens each morning was awesome. An outdoor fireplace with el fresco dining was brilliant. I highly recommend the cottage. Catherine is an amazing host.
