really great communication from start to finish. Accommodation very clean and walkable to Moura which is a beautiful town. Also close to the river beaches which was recommended by Joaquim and I would also recommend. Also, special mention to Joaquim and his wife for coming to our aid when we got a flat tyre as we left the town. They immediately reassured us with kind words and called someone to come to assist us at the side of the road. They helped us despite being out of the town and on holiday themselves!! Cannot thank them enough. So kind and helpful people. Very organised and have good instructions and recommendations of the area, thanks again

The house is a dream! It has everything it takes! the terrain around and the views are incredible... Outside that has tradition and very attentive details! Acodar with the sound of birds and herds of sheep is from another world! The space outside is also very well taken care of and is pleasant to be with family or with friends!

As others have said the hosts were excellent. We immediately felt at home and were welcomed with a jug of homemade lemonade and fruit. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean and we found it refreshingly cool in the hot Alentejo summer without the need to use the aircon. It's a short drive to Évora which is a lovely city with some excellent restaurants. All in all this was one of our best stays in an AirBnB.

This is one of the best places we ever stayed. The view is just stunning and the little town is very beautiful. The swimming pool was the best! The house is on a great location. The inside is also beautiful and very clean.

Monsaraz is such a charming hilltop village in the Alentejo region! Jose Luis' accommodations is in the heart of the village, on the main street and just below the castle! The accommodations are very spacious, with the living, dining and kitchen areas feeling very homey! The views of the castle and the valley below from the rear terrace are amazing! This is also a haven for cat lovers, as we had several feline friends hang out on the terrace! Just be mindful of not letting them inside! This is truly the best accommodations in Monsaraz!

Very pretty little house typical of the region. Beautiful exterior! The jacuzzi is a great plus for spending a great evening after a day of sightseeing in the area. Nothing was missing, everything was clean and functional, the equipment as well as the kitchen. Very welcoming host, bread and bottle of wine for us. Very convenient because you can park your car in front of the entrance door. Small downside with the shower in the bathroom that quickly becomes either too hot or too cold, but it's a detail. We'll come back to it without hesitation.

had a lovely brief stay in Avis, the place was tastefully decorated and a great size for the two of us who stayed. the host was really friendly and helpful. would stay again if passing through.

We stayed in a super private space, perfect for resting and enjoying nature. The pool is fantastic and our 3-year-old daughter loved it — she had a blast! We arrived around 10 pm and, even so, Edite and her husband were waiting for us with all the sympathy. They even offered us something to eat, if we needed it. We had a delicious fresh lemonade waiting for us and even honey berries, a treat we loved. We also had the opportunity to buy the honey that Edite produces and to learn a little about the production process, which made the stay even more special. Edite and her husband are loving and extremely welcoming people. The space is great, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, ideal for those looking for peace and tranquility. Beautiful space, surrounded by nature, rustic cottage in great condition, very friendly and always helpful hosts, made us feel at home. I couldn't fail to mention the friendly Nougat, the friendly farm dog, and the donkey Serafim. Very quiet place, allows you to relax. I highly recommend it.

Authentic and beautiful place with an amazing view from the backyard. Monsaraz is one of the nicest villages in the neighborhood. All recommendations for both the location and accommodation.

Nice cottage! Everything you need to stay there for a while. You can wash your clothes, cook a meal yourself. Everything is present to make it a great stay. We were also surprised with a bottle of wine and a pack of cookies. It is a good base to visit all sorts of things like Dark Sky reserve and Evora. Worth it!

The house is wonderful and the outdoor space is also very pleasant. Everything we needed was available and we really felt a unique comfort. Andreia was always available and is undoubtedly a super host! The house is also well located, being about 10m from Reguengos, where we have several services and 10m from Monsaraz to enjoy the most historic part and the river beach. We will definitely go back.

We had a great experience during our stay. A very peaceful space (we only had the company of goats and sheep☺️), our dog walked freely and we followed Daniel's suggestion to go to the beautiful stream near the house. I must mention that Daniel was very friendly and helpful during our stay. In short, I highly recommend it for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. A place to return to ☺️

We were captivated by the charm of this small Alentejo house, which preserves its old soul with a welcoming touch. Upon entering, we immediately felt that coolness that makes all the difference on hot days - and that made us feel immediately at home. The courtyard is a true haven, perfect for al fresco dining and moments of tranquility. The house is well equipped and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a supermarket and an excellent sausage shop just a stone's throw away, and we loved integrating walks through the village into our routine. Maria João was a thoughtful and generous host — she even offered us a bottle of family olive oil, a beautiful gesture that we will remember. We highly recommend it!

Great accommodation in a quiet and pleasant area. The house is very welcoming, carefully decorated and equipped with everything it takes for a comfortable stay. On arrival the house was quite clean and organized. The terrace is perfect for relaxing, soaking up the sun and refreshing in the tank. Repeating, surely!
