Will recommend to friends and family for sure. Truly enjoyed the stay. The view was tireless, with a great vantage point and meditative (if you do that sort of thing). The dock was also private and the water clear. This was be a great place to use the available double and single kayaks although we brought our paddleboards so our dog Chloe could join us. The location and the river have lots of intact natural beauty as does the well kept trails which were a welcome morning hike before the air warmed. We warmed up at the private firepit at night while we continued to look out over the lake. Both Rene and Deacon were wonderful hosts to us and to our dog. Rene clearly enjoys sharing his peace of heaven and goes above and beyond to make this an elevated experience. Thank you Rene and Deacon.

Very cozy cabin. Has everything you could need, all what you have to bring is your clothings. We even had the chance to taste their homemade maple syrup! Close enough to Bancroft but still tranquil, nobody can access the cabin but you. We saw people stopping by on the otherside of the lake but it feels OK and not invading, it is far enough to not care. Wildlife was abundant. We did not have much mosquitoes or annoying bugs outside and literally none inside. We went there as a couple with a dog and, once used to the space the cabin offers, did not feel squeezed, although it is not huge. Hosts were very kind and responsive. If you like small, serene and cozy places, this is a must try.

We had a wonderful time at the Bunkie. Julie, Patrick, and Max are lovely and warm hosts who are passionate about protecting the Mother Nature and wildlife. We loved the stories about how they built their connections with the wildlife there. The Bunkie is cozy and the perfect size for couples or small families. The kitchen has all the essential items, and the washroom is super clean with a 180-degree view of the private lake. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, and hiking on the private trail, and the view of the fall colors from Kinder Camp is truly stunning. My 9-year-old son had an amazing time with Max! Thank you, Julie, Patrick, and Max, for sharing such a lovely place; we will be back in the summer.

Staying at Julia’s place was a great experience ! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described (if not better). The space was cozy, stylish, and had all the thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. Julia was an exceptional host—super responsive, friendly, and genuinely committed to making sure we had a great experience.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the geo dome in Yarker! The location right on the lake offered breathtaking views that made our getaway truly unforgettable. The dome was spotless and beautifully maintained, providing all the comforts we needed for a relaxing retreat. Our host was incredibly kind and responsive, making the entire experience seamless and welcoming. We especially appreciated the thoughtful personal welcome card she left for us—it was such a lovely touch. We enjoyed a cozy evening by the bonfire and had a fantastic time paddling around the lake in the canoe. Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back. Alyce’s cabin by the lake is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and welcomed. The setting is peaceful and private, with stunning views of the lake that made the morning and evening feel magical. The cabin itself is cozy, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Whether we were enjoying coffee on the porch, kayaking, or just relaxing by the firepit, every part of the experience was serene and refreshing. Alyce was a fantastic host—responsive, kind, and accommodating. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature, you can’t go wrong with this place. We can’t wait to come back!

This cottage was an absolute gem for our family getaway! We were looking to truly disconnect and immerse ourselves in nature, and this place delivered perfectly. We loved the "off-grid" feeling and the profound quiet. While the May weather was a bit cool, we saw it as a plus – fewer bugs to bother us! The hot tub was a wonderful treat, and we spent lovely evenings around the fire pit. The kids had a blast exploring the tree-lined path to the dock, where they enjoyed fishing. Inside, comfort was key: the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we never ran out of hot water. The kitchen was impressively equipped with all the cooking tools one could need. To top it all off, the hosts were very responsive and helpful. This is a beautiful home, and we'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the tiny home on our honeymoon! The place was beautiful, private, and we LOVED the sauna and cold plunge amenity. One thing I will say is that the location is VERY remote, and you will be 25 minutes from the nearest store, gas station, or restaurant. So make sure to stock up on any supplies! We only had one roll of paper towels and one trash bag for our stay which was fine, but considering the remoteness, you’re definitely gonna need some more supplies than that! There is also a fork in the road where you must choose between two cabin names we weren’t aware of, but take the left road! While this place is very private because of the location, be prepared to be VERY exposed due to lack of any blinds or privacy curtains. At night with lights on, you can clearly see into the entire cabin and bathroom from outside, so that was quite an adjustment for us, especially sleeping. Overall we had so much fun at this cabin and would definitely return!
