Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Erie County

Me and my friends loved the lake house. The next time I come back to Sandusky I hope this house is available. Felt right at home, slept really good at Jennifer home. Yes I would recommend that you stay there if you are going on vacation.

My husband and I stayed with our 2 kids (ages 4 and 7) and we just had the best time! The kids loved all the things in and around the house: the swing out back, chest of games, play kitchen, coloring supplies. We walked to the ferry, ice cream and dinner at Catawba Inn. Super short drive to a playground, cheese haven, twin oast and orchard farm stand. It was our second time staying here and my guess is we’ll be back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Rock House! The home has a very unique natural rock exterior and an updated and very comfortable interior. We can't recall staying at a place that provides so much for the guests. We didn't have to buy any supplies for our stay. We literally had everything we needed. And the home is full of windows so you can take in the beautiful neighborhood, the quaint park across the street, and even a good view of Lake Erie. The appliances and furniture were in great shape and the mattresses were very comfortable. Also, the checkout process is probably the easiest we have ever experienced. We can't say enough good things about this place. We loved The Rock House and would stay here again if we ever return to the area.

Kitchen well stocked. Very roomy kitchen/dining/living room setup. The large kitchen island was a great place for everyone to hang out at. Place was very easy to find and only minutes away from some very good restaurant’s. All the rooms and bathrooms were very clean.

Beautiful home! We were on the fence about renting a house or staying at CP Breakers.. I’m SO glad we found this home! It was perfect. Super close and plenty of space for my crew of 5. The hosts provided everything we could have needed and we felt right at home. The game room in the garage took this home to the next level. After long park days, we loved coming home to hang out, play pool and lots of ping pong! 10/10 would recommend!

Kristen’s cottage is a great spot in Lakeside. It was just right for our family of 6 and everything was clean and well taken care of. There isn’t much space inside but that’s ok because Lakeside has so much to offer. A great house in a great vacation spot!

Sandra's place was just lovely. It was an absolutely beautiful little lake college with a great view right down the street. Sandra was very responsive and helpful. it was the perfect place to stay with my out of town college friends when we went to cedar point and kalahari for the weekend. Sandra also has many local recommendations that you should consider doing while staying here!

We loved the house. Its location was great being at the end of a dead-end street. And it was a short drive to just about everywhere. My kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the cool evenings. The house was well stocked. It only seemed to be lacking a few small sauce pans (for like soup). We found a couple of lids but no actual pans except for the heavy cast iron one. The only real con we had was the table situation. There is no actual table, but a bar/counter with a few stools around it. Eating there would have been fine except since there are cabinets on one side, there were only 3 stools. The 2 metal ones weren’t real sturdy and the wood one was too tall to sit and eat comfortably. We ended up buying a foldable stool at Walmart just so the 4 of us could eat together. A good set of TV trays would be a great addition to the rental. Tom was super friendly and quick to respond to any question/concern we had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was easy to find, clean & close to many things we wanted to do. The only thing, there are steps to get in which we didn’t know and wasn’t an issue. We would definitely stay again! Thank you again for accommodating us!💗

This was a great place! Very clean and had everything we needed for cooking. Plenty of space for our family. Beds were comfortable. Great view of Cedar Point. Very safe and quiet.

Robin and Dave are great hosts and the area was advertised. Very well stocked with small basics you may forget, I absolutely love the work and though both hosts put into our experience and hope to return again some day!

We were up for bike week and wanted to stay close to the downtown area! This place was for sure close. It was a cozy little apartment. This was exactly what we were looking for. The price was far and what you see in the pics is what you get when you get there!!! Very quick to respond when you have questions!! Thanks for a great experience

We were traveling for business (four days, three nights) and had a great stay! Clean and fresh with good amenities. Parking was a breeze. Bradley was very responsive and worked with us for a flexible check-in time. We would stay again!

Nice place, only stayed one night. We will plan a longer trip next year for my company outing to Cedar Point. I loved the big clock in the wall in the main room!

Great place to return to after a long day at Cedar Point. The pool was relaxing and we enjoyed the ability to walk to most places for food, shopping and sightseeing.

My daughter and I enjoyed our weekend away and this condo was perfect! The views were awesome and peaceful. Loved the private beach to sit and read. Restaurants were within walking distance so didn't even have to get in the car!

Stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and Marks place made it an even more special occasion. Everything was outstandingly perfect, clean and comfortable. the location couldnt be more beautiful. We hope to be able to come and stay again!

Just what we needed

We loved our stay in Sandusky! The view from the condo was absolutely amazing, and everything was very accessible to downtown. The condo itself was clean, well-maintained, and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely book again!

Tom is a great host…. very responsive and helpful. Condo is comfy and well located for all we planned. Sunroom overlooking lake is a gem. Our favorite eatery…. McCarthy’s Irish Pub within walking distance across the bridge. Wonderful menu and specials. Magee Marsh and other wildlife refuges along lake are spectacular!

Michelle and her home deserves a rating higher than great! Staying here leaves you wanting for nothing, except a longer stay. Michelle was helpful, kind and respectful of our privacy. Never stayed anywhere cleaner or more comfortable. If you want a home away from home, this is the place to be!
