Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Elk Lake

Perfect location and a wonderful host! Far enough away from downtown for privacy, but close enough where it’s easy to get to everything (downtown Traverse City, Old Mission wineries, etc) also there’s a very nice walking path in the back, which is a great way to start the morning. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay in this beautiful house! It's even better in person than the photos - and the photos are pretty great! Perfect location - peaceful and secluded but not far from anything. Melissa was amazing and communicated quickly when any question arose - we were able to check in early and check out late which was an awesome benefit with wine in the car! The amenities are perfection: such a well-stocked kitchen and a pristinely clean bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the character throughout this lovely old granary really made it a stand out. The location is central to many wineries, breweries and great restaurants - we never felt far from anything but it was so quiet and peaceful to be surrounded by fields and so much green! The hot tub was an amazing bonus and we used it on an unexpectedly cold May night. We loved our stay at the Hoxie Homestead. The location was central to all of northern Michigan’s cute towns and beaches. The property was clean and well laid-out. Loved the decor, and the master bed was super comfy and soft. The hot tub and sauna were perfect. We would certainly stay again.

Fantastic home! We loved everything about this place. Lots of space for our family of six. House was clean, stocked with lots of amenities. Linens, towels, board games, books, kitchen supplies.. We loved the beautiful view, deck, fire pit, dock, paddle board and kayak. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back!

Wonderful stay here! Host was very helpful and responsive with any questions we had. All amenities worked perfectly as advertised. In a great location off the Main Street in and out of traverse, getting where we needed to was very easy. Perfectly priced and very affordable for the weekend.

Spent Memorial Day weekend in this peaceful home amid the trees and beautiful scenery. The house was spectacular and the responsiveness spot on. Our family didn’t want to leave. Thanks for having us and I hope many others enjoy as much as we did.

We were impressed by the comfort and welcome of the little red cabin. The hosts were wonderful, amenities plentiful and the cabin was cozy. We very much enjoyed the fire pit and the rocking Adirondack chairs. The outdoor space allowed us to soak up the sun and gain a quiet break from the city life. Easy to drive around this area + we really enjoyed our time spent at the cabin cooking meals and spending time with our dog (it was so amazing that there were bowls there for him). The location was perfect for us. We look forward to returning for another future visit.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I enjoyed this visit as much as the first. Extremely friendly hosts, beautiful surroundings, quiet and peaceful. Exactly what I was looking for. I will stay again for sure.

My partner and I’s stay at Jeffrey and Holly’s suite was outstanding. The space felt incredibly homely, with cozy decor and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. It was spotless and well-equipped with snacks, coffee, beach amenities, you name it - and we loved using their kayaks for exploring Silver Lake. They were friendly and provided smooth check-in instructions. The price for the area far beats any hotel we could have booked considering how comfortable, clean, and private the unit was. As other reviews said, mechanical noises and footsteps can be heard, but this did not bother us at all. We loved this unit so much, we will probably check the availability for our next trip to TC. This was hands down the best AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

We had a great time, definitely a cozy stay, enjoyed the paddleboat, our kids lived being on the lake as well. we recommend this guest suite and look forward to staying again!

We enjoyed our stay at Andrew's and didn't want to leave. It was very clean, easy to check in, and exactly what we needed after spending the day at Sleeping Bear Dunes. The continental breakfast that was available was one of the best parts and it really made it easy for us to relax the night before and not worry about breakfast. We definitely want to come back and stay again in the future.

Heather's place was easily accessible. The listing had everything I needed for a lovely weekend at Walloon Lake. It was also very walkable to the waterfront and other things in the town, such as restaurants and the General Store. Great place to stay!

We had a great stay for a winter ski trip. 20 min to Boyne highlands. Airbnb itself is very well stocked and well maintained. Host was responsive. One thing to keep in mind is there is a steep staircase to get to the unit that I imagine may not be suitable for all.

Location was perfect for all of the up north adventures like sleeping bear dunes, Leelanau Peninsula, hiking, golfing, and of course Lake Michigan. This spot was a perfect quiet retreat at the end of the busy days, and had stunning views! I would happily stay here again.

Our stay here was perfect for a girls weekend! It was exactly what we were expecting and the place was pristine! The beach was easy to access and the board games came in handy!

It was a great cabin with full of things provide to do to spend the days away from home. Enough to do for days we didnt have plans to enjoy some cards around the open fire or enjoy some time in the hot tub, or have a friendly game of corn hole

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was cozy, peaceful, clean, and just like pictures show. It is tucked away in nature—perfect for a relaxing getaway. It felt like a home away from home. The location is ideal: close to local restaurants, a scenic bike trail, golf, and just a short, easy drive to Petoskey and Boyne City. Our host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and their sweet kids made the experience even more heartwarming. A big highlight was the Vine Ride wine tour—they picked us up right at the cabin and took us to 4 wineries, making it stress-free and memorable outing. Highly recommend this spot for nature lovers or anyone looking to unwind, explore Northern Michigan, and enjoy some great wine along the way! We will definitely come back! Sommers Retreat was a home away from home! Extremely inviting, perfect for our needs, and the amenities were fantastic. Beth thought of everything. It was nice to come back and relax after a long, MI day. Wish we had had nore time to sightsee but itll definitely be on our radar for future retreats.

Craig’s cabin was absolutely beautiful and if you want to get away from all the craziness and take a moment of true peacefulness this is the place.

Fernside is an adorable place to stay with many extra special and thoughtful additions to make guests feel at home. We loved just relaxing and watching the river. It was a little cold and rainy during our stay so it was an absolute treat to use the beautiful new sauna overlooking the river and green space. We would recommend staying and plan to return!
