This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

The villa was truly as described. When we arrived we were greeted by the hosts, who were incredibly warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well appointed and the area is perfect for families or really anyone looking to walk everywhere, including to a great beach and countless restaurants. The villa was pretty extraordinary overall. We've stayed in villas on a number of Greek islands over the last 12 years and this was the best on most counts. The interior was comfortable and spacious, really light and airy. There were only two of us, but I doubt it would be crowded with 6. A huge amount of kitchen equipment (you name it, the kitchen had it), all appliances seemed nearly new and of great quality. Showers with good supplies of hot water and strong pressure. The outside is fantastic - the pool is huge and the perfect depth throughout (maybe not ok for young children, with no shallow end). Plenty of comfortable seats and sun loungers, umbrellas for shade. The jacuzzi is a great bonus and is really high quality. Huge grounds and some lovely flowers. All windows have shutters so bedrooms could be made very dark overnight. We weren't interrupted at all through the week but whenever we had a question we received a rapid response. I can't think of anything negative to say!

The accommodation is superb, the view is incredible. The decoration is tastefully done, the rooms are very comfortable. The outdoor space is very well appointed. We enjoyed the gas grill for cooking. We didn't have neighbors during our stay.

We had an incredible stay with our family. The photos do not do it justice. It’s so beautiful and so peaceful. There were many lovely welcome food and drinks that we really appreciated. We had many activities and family in the area so we were out and about but were always looking forward to coming back to enjoy the house, the pool, and the gorgeous view. We also loved the hot tub when we got a little chilled from swimming since it was a bit early in season. We made sure to have a day to just do that. We used the indoor/outdoor theatre one night and that was really fun. All the rooms and the kitchen were perfectly appointed. Everything was so well thought out. We can’t wait to come again and stay longer and have time to use the outdoor kitchen, the gorgeous dining room and enjoy the beautiful pool and view again. Discovering Crete for the first time and being able to relax in this villa is something truly exceptional. The panoramic view is breathtaking! We absolutely loved our stay at the Fairytale Villas! Located about 20 minutes outside of old town Chania, the villa has beautiful views of the mountains and a small growing fruit orchard. It's really beautiful and peaceful. The home is well-designed for a family of 4 and has all the needed amenities. The pool is amazing. My kids swam every morning and night. Note that you would absolutely need a car to stay here because it is not walkable to anything, but an easy drive to a grocery store for cooking. We would love to come back someday!

We had a fabulous stay here. The villa is lovely, inside and out, with a well equipped kitchen, including food staples and a variety of different seating areas outside. The pool is great and the beach is virtually on the doorstep, with free sunbeds (if you buy at least a drink from the local taverna). In terms of local amenities, there is a small shop and a couple of tavernas within a few minutes walk, plus a small hotel complex, where you can also eat and visit their bar. There are 2 larger supermarkets within a couple of kilometres, for which you would either need a car or taxi, however the hosts were kind enough to ferry us there and back, when we first arrived, which was so helpful. Chania Old Town is beautiful and we travelled there on a couple of occasions by taxi (28E) in the evening, but you can also take a bus which stops near to the villa. Finally, the hosts, Eleni and Thrasyvoulos were lovely, regularly checking in without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! We loved our stay in Crete and it was comfortably the best hospitality we've ever received from a host. Manolis was super responsive to messages (usually within 15 minutes) and George looked after us amazingly well (without being intrusive) and was always so happy. The villa was exactly as described and there were a couple of days where we cancelled our plans to explore in favour of sitting by the pool and looking out over the mountains, watching the vultures and other birds. So nice. The butcher recommended by Manolis made for some delicious barbecues and was very reasonably priced. Really beautiful and relaxing location with the best hosts. Would definitely come back in future.

An unforgettable stay at Villa In Vivo! Our experience at the Villa was nothing short of exceptional. The villa itself is pure luxury - spotlessly clean, tastefully designed, and equipped with everything one could possibly need for a relaxing and carefree stay. What truly made our holiday special, however, was the incredible hospitality of our host, Panagoula. Even before our arrival, she was in touch with me, patiently answering all our questions and making us feel welcome from the start. We were greeted with such warmth at the airport, and upon arrival at the villa, we found delightful culinary surprises and a beautiful selection of fresh fruit waiting for us. The mid-stay cleaning service after four days was a lovely touch, and we are especially grateful for Panagoula’s tireless support after the stormy weather – and for the delicious, healthy meal she brought us during the week! You and your family are the best! Highly recommended – we’d return in a heartbeat. Thanks a lot!

We cannot have asked for a better place to stay in Chania. The house is a gorgeous villa perfect for a large family vacation. The location is on a breathtaking hill overlooking the city and old Harbor. There are tons of windows letting in natural light. You can be an old town in eight minutes by car or about 45 minutes walking. There are plenty of local mini markets and restaurants nearby. Michalis was a model host, and gave us plenty of recommendations for day trips, restaurants, treats, activities, and gave us very kind gifts throughout our stay. If we ever return to Crete, we will be staying here again!

We had a lovely stay in Crete! Our villa was so peaceful. You hardly hear any outside life. You most certainly need a car especially if you plan on moving around to see different things. The water pressure in the bathroom was amazing! The house had amazing views. Some of the best sunsets we saw. The housekeeper was always on hand for whatever you needed and responded really quickly. Overall an amazing stay.

The Airbnb was fantastic, very modern and spacious with an amazing view. The host was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and also during our stay. One of the best Villa’s I have ever stayed in, the pictures do not do it justice. Highly recommend choosing this for your stay in Greece. Only bad thing is that we had to leave to come back home!

We had a lovely stay at Stelios Villa. Incredible beautiful surroundings, it’s a short walk into Kalyves, we didn’t realise until day 3 but there’s a small parade of beach bars and restaurants if you walk a bit further than we had been for first 2 days. The stay was lovely, the house was beautiful. We really enjoyed the village and it’s relatively slow pace. Stelios was very responsive to messages and very helpful too.

We’ve never experienced an Airbnb like this – in terms of both the villa and the hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Eftychis and his wonderful mother – you made our stay unforgetable! We were seven people, including three children (one toddler), and everything was just perfect. The villa is spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely well-equipped – the kitchen had top-tier appliances, and the baby gear was modern, clean, and like new. The house is set in a peaceful location with a breathtaking sea view. When we arrived, a delicious homemade Greek salad and cookies were waiting for us – such a warm welcome! Eftychis was available via chat the whole time: kind, helpful, and always with great local recommendations. This place truly combines beauty, comfort, and care. We’d come back without hesitation.
