We have a lighthouse here along with a small weather station. Our little farm gets closed off from the world during the winter months, so it's the perfect opportunity for those that seek a break from just about everything. You probably couldn't imagine a more peaceful and quiet place, where you are also welcomed to join us in any activities.

The house is located in untoucted nature next to a field on Brennistaðir farm, about 20 km from Egilsstaðir in the direction to Borgarfjörður eystri. The farm is sheep farm. We live about 400 m distance from Ásinn. Fully equipped kitchen, small sitting room, spacious bathroom (washing machine and dryer), 4 bedrooms. Good looking view, cairns, bird live, streams, family-friendly environment in peaceful nature.

It's on the south side of the lake on the way to Hallormsstaður the biggest forest in Iceland. The closest grocery store is in Egilsstaðir. Good paved road, passable all the year. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape, nice hiking trails down to the lake or up to the hills, good place to see the northern lights in wintertime.
