Great Gite in a very tranquil and peaceful location. Well situated for visiting Brantôme and Perigueux and the surrounding area. Christian was very friendly and explained everything well when we arrived. Would recommend this host and this Gite if you like exploring rural France.

We had a nice weekend. The accommodation is impeccable, and as described. Great hosting. Great value for money. An address that we will remember for future times.

Cozy accommodation in the heart of Périgord Noir in a peaceful environment. Beautiful area and magnificent terrace. Lydia and Julien are very friendly and despite a long holiday weekend, they insisted on coming to see if everything was okay for us. Welcome with a bottle of wine. Linen and sheets that smell wonderfully good. On the other hand, the WiFi is a little slow for teleworking. I recommend it.

The house is absolutely charming with a magnificent restoration and the typical and authentic comfort of the old buildings! The garden and hot tub near the river are idyllic (additional daily cost for the use of the hot tub because it is fed by wood-fired). Nick was charming and very welcoming, his house adjoining the rented house (they communicate with her, the dining room of the house overlooking Nick's kitchen). Note: small fridge and no dishwasher in the kitchen otherwise well equipped but we still went out for meals with the house full!

I 100% recommend the accommodation of Alban and Sandrine who are very kind, very welcoming and available hosts as well as their neighbor Virginie who welcomed us at first. The accommodation is faithful to the description and photos, even more beautiful! Impeccable cleanliness, tastefully decorated, you feel very good there right away! The environment is ideal and the village is very charming. Only one regret: staying only one night! ;) Thank you very much Alban and Sandrine, I'll gladly remember your address!

Wow!! Marie's house was beautiful and in lovely, tranquil surroundings. We were a party of 5 and the house and amenities were perfect. It was great to have a swimming pool to cool off from the summer sun. We booked for a week at a late stage but from the first enquiry to Marie and throughout our time there Marie was always very quick and helpful to respond. We absolutely recommend this wonderful house and host, but hopefully there will still be the opportunity for us to book again when we are in the Charente.

Sophie and Craig were the perfect hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a welcoming (and much appreciated) basket of goodies waiting for us on our arrival and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The gite was just as described and the perfect place to unwind. Lovely views throughout the meadow and surrounding area, the natural pool was a delight. The chickens provided fresh eggs for breakfast and the dogs, Roo and Ted are adorable. We spent two nights in the large, well-equipped cottage for 8 people. Friendly welcome and comfortable bedding. The site is just incredible: river, waterfall, beautiful trees... And in addition, a swimming pool. Thank you for this weekend in the refreshing countryside.

We had a great time at Laetitia's place. The cottage is clean and very well equipped. We were able to enjoy the beautiful pool. Laetitia is friendly and welcomed us very well. We will come back without hesitation.

We had a very good stay in this quiet, peaceful and well-maintained accommodation. We were able to enjoy the outdoor facilities (barbecue, swimming pool, outdoor games available), which was very pleasant. Communication with the host was excellent, James is very responsive, and informs about the different local activities/restaurants. Thanks again for this stay, I recommend it.

We had a great couple of weeks here. It proved an ideal location from which to explore the Périgord Vert. A very peaceful spot with a secure garden for our dog and walks nearby. The facilities in the cottage were excellent and as described and we really appreciated the bottle of wine and home made cake on arrival. The pool was very relaxing and comfortable and easily warm enough to swim in late May. There is an (excellent) boulangerie in the nearest village which is walkable and supermarkets for provisions in Brantôme. Several nearby towns had markets. Suzy and Steve (and Alfie) were lovely hosts and we fully recommend it. It was exactly what we wanted.

We had a fantastic week at La Gigon, so peaceful and relaxing, it had all we needed and more. Our 3 kids (6-9 years) had a ball in the pool and using all the games room had to offer. Judy was friendly and easy to communicate with and Jackie her property manager was welcoming and lovely. I highly recommend La Gigon and would love to return in the future.

The house was perfect for what we needed. The bedrooms were cozy and the house was clean. I made friends with the goldfish and fed him every day. I would come back here without any concern.

Julie and Keith have created a haven of peace and tranquility at their beautiful gite. The gardens are stunning and the gite is superb, extremely comfortable and full of thoughtful touches. We walked miles, exploring this beautiful part of France. Thank you Julie and Keith for your kindness and making us so welcome!

A gem of a place ! It is not easy to find places in the region that are not exorbitantly expensive or furnished from grandma's leftovers; this hits a perfect note with a mixture of stylish antiques and comfort, everything has been thought of down to the Savon de Marseille in the bathrooms! Clearly lots of love has been poured into the house and it shows, from a well stocked larder with everyday essentials (including coffee pods for the machine) to the lovely welcome hamper. The garden at the back overlooking the old monastery is perfect and very secluded and even though it was only April I managed to eat outside each morning and evening (there are 3 other terraces too). The host is on hand easily for tips on where to eat or visit if needed. Tusson is a great village with a good places to eat including the wonderful Gateaux for amazing cakes.

The loveliest airbnb we’ve ever stayed at!! The owners are so accommodating and their cats and dogs are so sweet. The views are incredible and the gite was perfect- had everything we needed even coffee and every kitchen utensil you could think of! There’s also a BBQ you can use if you’d like. The pool was perfect for the heatwave (and the aircon!) and so tranquil. There’s a book in the room that the hosts have put together with info about local attractions and recommendations that was very helpful! If you want a peaceful get away, it doesn’t get much better than this!

Calm, kindness, attention, wonderful garden... in short, great!

What a lovely stay with wonderful hosts. We were visiting for a wedding at Chateau La Durantie, and I am so glad we came across Michael’s place. Michael reached out in advance of our stay to align on our check-in time, and sent over many helpful recommendations for restaurants and activities during our stay. David greeted us upon arrival to give us a tour and answer any questions, and left a bottle of wine and some treats. Michael followed-up shortly after to give us more history and to see if there was anything we needed. The location itself is serene next to a river, and the house couldn’t have been nicer. It was squeaky clean, and the showers seemed new. We took advantage of the kitchen amenities to prep our meals and didn’t run into any trouble. As another reviewer shared, they are in the process of building a pool which will be great for families. We will definitely be back.

Pleasant, quiet, spacious cottage with jacuzzi and steam room, very appreciable after the many visits and hikes possible in this little green corner. Very pleasant and attentive host. Delighted with our stay. We'll be back
