Cabin holiday rentals in East Tawas

Excellent stay at this Airbnb. If you are thinking of coming to St Helen to ride the ORV trails, this is an excellent choice! It’s right down the street from St Helen Motorsports, two gas stations, 3 restaurants, 2 pizza shops and multiple trail head entrances within 2 miles or less!!! The house looks exactly like the pictures and description, and the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and indoor fireplace were amazing! I will note….it is a bit on the small side. Beds are as described, but feet hang off the bed and rooms are small. 4 grown adults was pushing it here, especially with one bathroom. Also note. There is BARELY enough room for a small truck and trailer to park in front. The other truck had to park underneath the large garage due to no park space. Other than that, which is really just an explanation, it is the ultimate st Helen stop!

My husband spent two nights at this wonderful cabin and so enjoyed our time there! We ate at the boat house for lunch one day and walked the Wolf Creek Trailhead another, but other than that we enjoyed being at the cabin! The backyard was incredibly serene! We read and talked for hours around the bonfire until dark and then hit the hot tub both nights! What a wonderful space to get away and reconnect as a couple! I would absolutely suggest it as a couples get away! ❤️

Lovely property with an amazing and cute little cabin. Very private, we walked the woods and had bonfires. The hot tub was great! We would definitely come back!

This awesome place was near everything! We walked to the beach and explored the beautiful pier the first night we were there. On the second day we walked to town and did a little shopping and lunch. Later that afternoon we enjoyed biking on the local trails and even stopped for a snack at the Hilltop restaurant. I highly recommend this place!

My wife’s family wanted to go to the casino in Standish. We didn’t, but it was an excuse to get away. This is 30 minutes away. As soon as we walked in the door, we fell in love with the place. The smell of fresh pine is everywhere, and it’s real. As I walked through the place, I thought of asking about the process they went through to make this beautiful cabin. There’s actually a picture book on the mantle that shows how they started with an empty shell. Very cool. If you look only at square footage, this is a small cabin. But, they use the space very efficiently. I never thought for one moment that the place was small or cramped. And, this is way better than a cabin at a campground. But, the real highlight is the host. It soon started feeling like we were family. Not family that makes you go to a stupid casino, but someone that’s there for you, always responding within minutes, even at 12:30 in the morning. I wish my family were more like that. Highly recommended!

Plenty of room for everyone. We had 6 adults, 2 dogs & visitors. Pool table was fun. Hot tub was great & fire pit was fabulous!!! Close to Tawas, Sand Lake, Lake Huron & a short drive to Frankenmuth. Plenty of food & groceries in West Branch. Highly recommend & would rent from again 👍

The cabin is absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, packed with thoughtful amenities, and offering breathtaking views. The only downside is that the lake isn't suitable for swimming

This is my second stay, but certainly not my last! Cozy and clean, with all the thoughtful touches! Love sitting on the couch in the morning with a cup of coffee and looking out at the woods behind the cabin. Sunday morning we had a porcupine visit. Nothing threatening, just passing through. Rick is always very responsive, and the cabin is spotlessly clean! Close to Roscommon for South Branch AuSable canoeing/kayaking and also close to Grayling for AuSable Main Branch access. For pit is a treat. Quiet and peaceful retreat and located centrally for river access!

Pros- Stunning views from the living area to the lake. Plenty of sandy beach front with all the rocks you would ever want in the water. Impressively clean and beds were made like you were at a 5 star resort. Kim has raised the bar for being a host with Airbnb!! Kim is a 5 star host and thought of everything to make our stay like it was our home. Cons- I don’t have anything negative to say regarding the host, the cabin, the cleanliness, and the location. Kim mentioned this is not baby or child proof; the only concern I would have if I brought little ones would be the outside. There are steep steps down to the beach. Every house in this area has just as many steps down from the house to the beach. Plenty of beach area once you are there, just keep in mind if you pick up rocks, you will have to carry those up the steps.

Decided to take my wife and 2 dogs up. was an absolute blast! lots of attractions and places to walk our dogs and get out of our home. What a perfect place to go! It was perfect!

Beautiful cabin! (A little jealous I don't own it!) We were there for an ice fishing weekend, had a great time and the cabin was perfect for relaxing after a long day on the ice. Very cozy!

We really enjoyed Frank's home. It was clean and welcoming. Our dog loved it as well! Although I was a little disappointed she didn't want to use the doggie bed under the stairs! We had a great time. We walked to the pond and fished everyday. And we were close enough to hike a lot of trails. All in all it was a really nice experience. Thanks for sharing with us Frank!

Visited St Helen, MI to ride trails with ATV. Trails are great, never ending, lots of friendly other riders, plenty to eat. Woodys Hot Dog stand is amazing!

Absolutely stunning place! We didn't want to leave. We brought our dogs and they had an absolute blast swimming in Lake Minnow. My wife and I enjoyed walking around the lake early in the morning with a cup of coffee and having bonfires at night making S'mores and cooking Koegel hot-dogs over the flames. An absolutely perfect Michigan retreat!

This is a cottage so don’t expect hotel clean - you will see spiders and it’s ok! It was lovely to walk out to the deck every morning and see the sunrise and sunset at night! We went to Port Austin for the beach , food and drinks! Such a wonderful town! Visit Pirate Cove and the Farmers Market! Bucks in Port Hope was delicious for breakfast! We often walked down the rocks off the back down to the shore line and just relaxed!

The location was great, you could walk right out onto the beach. There was only 1 other group staying at the time, so we had that area of the beach all to ourselves. It was pretty easy to find, and only a few minutes away from town. The space was comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone lookin for a semi private getaway.

Cabin was very nice. No Wi-Fi as noted in the listing but service was good enough to stay connected.

This is literally THEE cutest tiny home/cottage!!! It was the most perfect weekend getaway for my best friend and I as we attended a local dog show! It is FULLY stocked with every imaginable essential you could need. Full set of cookware and cooking utensils and dinnerware, spices, oils, cleaning supplies, linens, etc. The area is soooo quiet and calm with beautiful views and sunrises! The host messaged us day of checkin to give more detailed instructions about access to the almost private driveway and it helped make it easy to locate, even for me who struggles with directions lol, and at dusk!! The house is immaculate, charming, welcoming and truly feels like home from the moment you open the door. 10/10 will look for The Hummingbird for next year's dog show in the area 😍 Thank you Kim and Doug!!

The cabin was a great find for us. We really enjoyed how rustic a location it was. The included kayaks and canoe, along with the private access beach on Lake Huron were a great addition to our stay. Check in could not have been easier. We never met our host in person, but they were proactive in messaging us to see if all our needs were met. Overall we would recommend booking Carol's cabin, it made for a memorable vacation.
