Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Durham County

We were here as a family supporting my nephew's team playing in the D2 College World Series- the location was excellent, the house was absolutely perfect for our group, plenty of space and the bathrooms were a great size. We really appreciated all of the "extras" like a few fresh food items, makeup remover and special towels, quick responses with any questions, local recimmendations- the list goes on and on! Another random thing I always appreciate is nice soaps, shampoos and hair dryer- and this was all their too! In addition to the extras- the house was easy to get into and had all the expected amenities as described. We also enjoyed using the fire pit at night. We are hoping to be back next year again and will definitely book this place! Highly recommend!

Barb’s place was amazing! She was spot on the whole time with communication! Made sure we got settled in ok and all ! I love the place and very clean ! This will be my home every time I come to Durham ! Thanks again Barb for allowing into your beautiful home !

First I would like to just say Aaron and Simone were great! The place its self was spotless it was very clean and contained all the essentials for a long or short term stay. We arrived a bit earlier than expected and I messaged Aaron and Simone and within minutes they responded and graciously allowed us to check in a bit early and it saved our butts! There was alot of great qualities about this house but my favorite was I immediately felt right at home! Thanks again for allowing us to stay with you guys and your hospitality! You will be the first host we check with for next year’s golf trip!

Jill’s place was great! Close to everything we wanted to do and ample parking. The beds were comfortable and the decor was modern and beautifully done. The amenities were plentiful (the snacks were a nice touch!) and the kitchen had everything we needed. We weren’t able to use the backyard as intended due to the weather but the grill and patio were still great!

We loved our stay. Great place, nice furniture, clean, very comfortable. From providing snacks, candy, and even a bottle of wine, the hosts went above and beyond to make us welcome here.

The place was clean and comfy, love the back porch. Josh was a great host and gave us some great recommendations. Close to east campus. 10 min. walk to field hockey and softball field. Durham is great city with lots to do.

Great house and decor minutes to downtown Durham. Easily walkable to many points of interest. House was spotless, would definitely recommend!

For my first time being in North Carolina, it truly helped elevate the experience with such a beautiful location filled with trees surrounding and nature. Mohmeet was always responsive and attentive to anything I needed and worked their best to provide the very best. I had an amazing time here with my partner. The suite was clean and really made you feel like you’re in a home away from home. The hot tub and pool were our favorite aspect of the accommodation. Angela is a super thoughtful, amicable, and informative host.

Bridget was a lovely host, very quick in responding and super helpful. The place was awesome! Stayed here for four weeks during a business trip. Easy check-in, kitchen was well equipped, bed was very comfortable, all in all very happy with the accommodation.

We had a wonderful stay at Erin’s place. It was clean, matched the description perfectly and had everything we needed for the weekend. Erin was an amazing host - very thoughtful, friendly and responsive! And the bunnies were so cute. We would stay here again in the future! Thanks Erin.

The place was amazing- exactly what we needed and wanted. It was 4 of us ( 2 couple) and it was perfect. Two rooms with queen beds and each room with their own walk-in closets and full bathrooms. Clevs and Amy were very responsive and gave us clear instructions. They even checked in on us if we needed anything. Great place for the price. Highly recommend and I’d love to go back.

This was not my first stay at the Scout House, and it will not be my last. Everything about it is perfection - from the location, to the property, to the sensational hosts (Marie & BJ). My stay was delightful in every way and I cannot wait to return!

Peaceful, private and clean. Met expectations and then some. We really enjoyed ourselves, as did our dog, and appreciate hosts allowing our furry best friend to be with us. Beautiful field and natural surroundings. A lovely escape. Road noise is detectable as per the information, but did not detract from our experience. The sound of songbirds in the morning was heavenly. Saw a Carolina Wren sitting on five eggs in its nest. Excellent communication via messages and written and app instructions. Love the outdoor lights. Very impressed the owners are aware of nature’s need of darkness, so turned off outdoor lights when not in use (outdoor lights confuse migratory birds, for example) and felt safe. Hoping to return soon!

If I could give this property and management 10 stars I would! The house Is quaint and surrounded by trees. It has two large screened porches with plenty of seating. It is the epitome of peacefulness. You feel like you are alone in the woods but you are only 5 or 10 minutes from everything!! The owners were so very responsive and helpful. They are really kind people. We stayed two weeks and wish we could have stayed longer.

This was truly a stunning cabin. The pictures did not do it justice. There are some chickens on the property which was the highlight of the trip for my two sons. My oldest was able to catch fish in the lake. Ben gave very detailed instructions on how to find the cabin and even left us some fresh eggs in the fridge. He responded quickly to my questions. The house was stocked with all needed amenities and the beds were extremely comfortable. The cabin is in a beautiful secluded spot but still very close to the places we wanted to see in Raleigh and Durham. We had a great stay here and would absolutely book again.

This was a really really cute stay. My family and I enjoyed our stay and was surprised how efficient the whole space was regardless off the small home. Very clean, had multiple kitchen utensils, washroom is clean, the sleeping area was quite fun. Lot of options there too. Overall 10/10!! Liz and her co-host were very helpful and responsive.

This house had all the “things” that you forgot and needed! Lots of special touches. We loved the swing in the living room right by the window! Very private and quiet but also very easy to find. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

It was a better stay than we could have expected! Such a great price too! We had a blast and it was so very relaxing. The home had all we needed for a relaxing and fun filled family adventure.

Stunning home and property - we spent the majority of our time outside. We particularly loved fishing the pond. Hosts are proactively communicative and also respond quickly to any requests or needs. If we’re ever back in the area we look forward to staying again.
