Our house is located between Haren (Gn) and Glimmen on a quiet road. From home, you can hike and cycle in all directions: the Drentse Aa river valley, Appelbergen, the Onlanden, Haren, the Noordlaarder forest, the Paterswoldse and Zuidlaarder lakes and, of course, the city of Groningen. Our spacious backyard overlooks a meadow, there are regular roe deer to be seen, as well as squirrels and even a fox. Our thatched Saxon farmhouse is located in the center of the unique village of Orvelte. Orvelte is one of the most beautiful villages in the Netherlands and was founded in the 10th century. The monumental farms and the streets lined with cobblestones and old bricks give the village a nostalgic atmosphere. There is a lot to experience in and around Orvelte, art and culture and plenty of recreation. In short, a wonderful location, centrally located in beautiful Drenthe, to get away from it all.

This is the master bedroom of our characteristic property. A large bright room with beautiful views and light from two sides. There is a sitting area, large table, coffee and tea facilities, for, reading lights by the bed and sofa. The bathroom, as well as the separate toilet, you share with any guests from the other rooms. The rooms are located on the floor. You have to be able to walk, the stairs do not have a handrail.

If you want to relax, you're fine here. Rural, cozy and quiet place, 10 km away from the city of Groningen and 3.2 km from the airport. the village is 1.5 km away. Although we live behind the airport, we don't have any noise nuisance. Biking, hiking, running, sailing on the Paterswoldsemeer, Hoornse Plas. Eelde/Paterswolde is a village with several cores. Sights, Museum De Buitenplaats, Landgoed Lemferdinge, Friescheveen.

A little information beforehand. For a booking with 2 people, only 1 room will be made ready. The 2nd bedroom is only included for 3 or more people. If 2 people want to sleep separately, that's also possible. However, the price for people and the use of two bedrooms is then slightly higher. Welcome to Gruunlaand, our resting place, house and guesthouse with almost 3000m2 of land. In our barn we offer four bedrooms with 3 comfortable double beds and 2 single beds. There are four separate toilets, three bathrooms with shower, a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, and a living space that you can use to work, read and relax.
