Both hosts were incredibly hospitable and friendly. The house has a warm, welcoming scent and truly feels like home—if home were a beautiful historic property from the 1800s. It has an authentic New York City area vibe, even though it’s located in New Jersey. The green room was very comfortable and quiet. Light sleepers should know there’s a school across the street, so mornings can be a bit lively, but I personally sleep with noise-canceling headphones and didn’t mind. It wasn’t disruptive at all—just something to be aware of. The shared bathroom situation was totally fine. I never ran into any of the other guests during my stay, and the bathroom itself was clean and comfortable. One of my favorite parts was how easy it was to get to the PATH station—just a short walk and you’re less than 20 minutes from the World Trade Center and the rest of the NYC subway network. The trains run late, so you can enjoy nights out in Manhattan and then come back to a peaceful neighborhood.

Great location, walkable to the PATH train to the city. Lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Very quiet neighborhood. There's no official parking, but we had no problem finding street parking a block away. The only issue we had was one of the key copies didn't work well and we were locked out for a bit until we were able to get the door open while waiting for the host to respond.

This spot was perfect! I used to live in JC so was looking forward to being back in the neighborhood. The location is that perfect mix of close to Grove street, but not too close so it was nice and quiet. The apt itself was very clean and super comfy. Easy in and out and Itai was very responsive! I’m a sucker for detail and the little starburst square candy on the hand towels set out for easy access was a great “welcome” touch. The best flavors too! Would absolutely stay here again.
